My family and I are fasting for Ramadan and it’s difficult to wake up early and make something fresh. This morning I made this for my family and it turned out AMAZING! Took almost no time at all and turned out Great! Thank you!
I am Hmong, and I ate this growing up. My mom would always make it when we didn’t have much to eat. Green onions are a must !! Thanks for sharing Seonkyoung ! This inspired me to make this again !
John Coffey Hmong people are an ethnic group. We do not have a country of our own, but our homeland is considered Laos. Many Hmong people live there today as well as in Thailand. Due to the Vietnam War, Hmong people have resettled in countries all over the world.
I’m Nigerian this makes me think of egg tomato stew my mom use to make its literally fried tomatoe and Peppers and onions then eggs cooked into it looks similar
I love this recipe! The tomatoes are perfectly mushy and saucy. The only thing I do differently is sometimes I'll add some chili oil as a topping and even some eggplant and ground pork over white rice.
I could smell and remember the taste of this recipe as you make it, just like how my mom use to make it when I was little. Thank you for sharing it. Although such an easy recipe, it brings a lot of love & memories.
Thank you for this no fuss and super delish recipe, Seonkyoung! What a great way to finish up the last of our eggs and tomatoes. The whole fam loves it ❤❤
I was looking up an egg custard recipe, found your video from 4 years ago, clicked on your channel and found a new video! It's my lucky day, subscribed!
My roommate always made this, and tonight I was craving something more to go with rice and this was perfect for me to try my own hand! I did replace the salt on the tomatoes with sugar, just for a little less sodium, but the ketchup was a great touch. Also added just a little blob of sriracha for a kick of spice! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
OMG. I literally was going to make this today bc I have so many eggs and tomatoes to cook. Miss you Seony! Haven't tuned in for awhile. Hope you and Jacob are staying healthy! 💕
This was one of my go-to's when i was living in Xi'An. I moved there from Chengdu and couldn't find any good food except the LanZhou noodles and this dish. Saved my life. If you ever want to visit China, please go to Xi'An first and then anywhere else.... because the food will be amazing to you if you haven't had the food from anywhere else first.
I woke up this morning super hungry and saw this video and what do you know? I have all the ingredients already! I grew up eating this but that ketchup and sesame oil totally vamped one of my childhood classics! ❤️❤️❤️
For the one year I did go to college, there was a chinese professor and I befriended her to know more about Chinese culture. Though there was a language barrier(she did english good enough but a lot of times she had to think ) she taught me so much and this was the first dish she made for me and some thing that tasted between a omelet and pancake. 😩😩😩
Just finished making & eating your tomato & egg recipe. I honestly didn't think it would be anything special but, OMG... IT.WAS.AMAZING! Every ingredient was so simple, nothing flashy but when they all came together, it was a symphony of perfect flavors, delicious perfection! I added some fresh cilantro, served with rice. I will be making this again & again. Thanks so much.
this is one of my family comfort foood.. mom version is alwasy the best.. my mom usually add cornstrach and lil bit water in the egg, so that the egg more fluffy..
Thank you. Just made this but vietnamese style. Used fish sauce instead of soy sauce, added a bit of sugar, and corn starch and water in the tomato. Turned out delicious.
No picture to show but I did try this recipe as I said I would do, however my husband devoured this dish and stated it was very good and I ate some to but had to share a bit of mine I didn’t mine I’m so glad he enjoyed as must as I loved learning and making this dish according the Asian cooking at home teacher. Thank you! For this quick and easy recipe.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS RECIPE ❣️ i grew up in this egg! My mom makes it a little different, instead of green onion she uses real onion, and instead of soy sauce she uses fish sauce 😭
Ok so this is a thing, I see. Over the last week I've seen several videos with tomatoes and eggs recipes. I'm trying this one first because you made it look soo good.
I've tried a few youtube recipes of this dish, and honestly, this is my GO TO one. The secret is to have ripe tomatos like compari or roma. I add some baby kale or baby arugula for an extra little green for colour, taste, and nutrients. Thank you SK for this awesome recipe!!!! :)
I am Nigerian.. this is a staple meal for us with potatoes or yams or plantain or bread. We normally stir fry the tomatoes with onions, peppers, sausages, prawns, veggies (basically throw in anything you like) and then add the eggs.
First time making it, turned out really well and its super quick! Im korean and my mom used to make it for me sometimes, adding some milk in egg and granapadano final is nice too💓
I love how you cook! The process is all shown very well❣ As a Korean myself, I love Korean food🇰🇷 that are made with eggs. But, I can tell that all kinds of food made of egg in the world can't be not good😆
I recently discovered your channel and truly enjoying each episode. Your pronunciation of words with your accent makes it hilarious to watch. Plus you’re recipes all look delicious. So this morning I decided to try your tomato egg stir fry. It was amazingly delicious! I can’t wait to try another recipe soon. I’m going to post it on Instagram and will add your hashtags.
Oh! I have to try that cause I totally love stired/scrumbled egg (solo or with onion and/or bacon) and cold freshly chopped tomatoes. I use to put some salt on the tomatoes and some pepper on the egg and really enjoy the difference between the nice hot fried egg and the cool, fresh tomatoes. Perfect for breakfast in my opinion. Nevertheless I have to try your style with the soy sauce. Maybe that gets me a flavour to like the tomatoes more slushy. That was allways the point why I did not like to fry them with the egg.
OK, now I tried the recepie two times. I needed a little more soysauce than in the original recepie but that may be due to my type of sojsauce I have at home. Second time I had not enough spring-onions so I used normal onions for frying and used the spring-onions to add after frying. I found out that this is one of the dishes that tastest even better if you let it set for a while. So if you want the flavour really spread just do it as first thing when you prepare breakfast/the meal. Then turn off the heat, put a lid on it and then prepare the table, make coffee, take a shower or whatever you use to do. I experienced the same thing with several dishes like for example Seoungs Bulgogi Recepie. I once cooked it, it was really good but me and my friend did not eat the whole Pan. So I put it in the fridge for the next day. When we ate it then it was amazing how much better it tasted and just to mention it again: it was even really, really good when it was fresh. For the egg I can even imagine to prepare it the night before or Take it to work or somewhere. Will taste really delicious.👍
This looks really good. Everyone can tailor it slightly. To this I wll add some sugar, some starch slurry, and undercook the eggs a bit as I like that moist slurpy consistency over rice. Can't wait to try this.
Hi! I've made a couple of your dishes, today I made the ground pork bulgogi and the fam loved it! I've been really obsessed with all your cooking vids! Could you make korean cheese balls next! Thank you!
I have been wanting to make this for months and tonight I watched yiu video and was like I have everything to make it so I did and let's just say this is gonna be a fast meal for me when I'm hungry
Thanks, this was so easy and came out so delicious! I also added a dash of mirin and stevia to the tomatoes sauce, really hit the spot. I like that this recipe doesn't require adding starch.
This was so good. I'm cantonese. I recommend adding some sugar and skip the salt on the tomato. The soy sauce and eggs have salt already.
She does add ketchup which would have that sugar/sweetness.
I make this all the time, I'm white but my husband is Cantonese I'll have to try that with the sugar instead tonight thank you for the suggestion!
