Watch out! There's lots of talky talky talky!! lol! New year, new season of Asian at Home!! Happy Friday!!! Get there written recipe here! seonkyounglongest.com/mayak-eggs
Just finished making this a second time! It is SO GOOD! I ate it with the seaweed soup and it is AMAZING! My sister praised my cooking for the second time in 9 years so 🥴
I grew up in the south and was brought up on home cooking from rural farms. Lots of greens, fried foods with gravy and homemade biscuits. However, as an adult my love for Korean food began when a Korean family moved in next door and served their homemade kimchi and fried egg rolls. I’ve been hooked ever since. Years later I visited a Korean restaurant and ordered the spicy pork bulgoghi. After much research I found a recipe and have been making that at home. So easy and delicious. Can hardly wait to make your pork rice bowl with these eggs.
tiffalien yes I agree! I was in the comment section out of curiosity to see if anyone else commented on that. She looks great and better without makeup.
this is the first video of hers that i watched and that stuck out in my mind immediately. she is absolutely beautiful without makeup. i think mayak gyeran should split out a separate channel for beauty techniques.
Everything about this video was so beautiful! The transition between the different angles was so smooth. You did really great with this video. So aesthetically pleasing. Just when I thought your videos couldn’t get any better.
Thank you again!! You are a true chef. I feel a true chef can inspire others to do as they do through the passion they show. I been making so many new Asian dishes thanks to you. Very much appreciated!!
YESSS!!! I made these last night and I’m currently eating them RIGHT NOW (I know, I’m surprised I was able to let go of the spoon, too) and it is AMAZING!!!!! I thought the soy sauce would be over powering.. but it honestly isn’t!!! It’s a wonderful blend of soy sauce, with sweetness, and a good kick of spice! Such a simple and easy recipe. The only hard part was the wait for marinating (hahaha). FOR ANYONE WHO IS THINKING OF MAKING THIS.. do it! Worth it! No ragrets. It’s everything I imagined it would be. Ps, make sure you drizzle the sauce onto your rice! ;) • Thank you, Seonkyoung, for the tastiest recipe. I cooked the eggs to your instructions and it came out perfect.
I was about to say Seonkyoung, not another video where we don't hear your voice or see your face. I'm so happy now! I love watching you cook. Makes me happy 🤗
I’m telling my mom to subscribe! You remind me so much to her ! ❤️ we’re Mexicans but she has been working with South Koreans for over 15 years and she pick up the korean accent hehe 😂❤️. I love you ! I hope you get 1M soon !!
Thanks for another great recipe and I think I'm getting use to the spiciness now... not a lot but more than before when I make your recipes I cut down or eliminate the spice depending on how much spice you use... but now I can make it with the amount of spice you use and it doesn't bother as much... I still have a long way to go before my stomach can fully appreciate your level of spice but I'm doing pretty good... and by the way your last shot in this video you look so pretty without makeup you can pull off wearing or not wearing makeup. 👍❤
Love the new series name, "Have you eaten?". So appropriate since its what parents, elders and other loved ones always ask us when we go home or visit them. Thanks for reminding me about this yummy side dish and the tip about only finishing and not storing with sesame oil. Hugs!
Thanks for this video! My Korean partner was inspired to make this dish and we followed your recipe! So delicious! The sauce got us like 3-4 meals for 2 persons!
Seonkyoung, I just put a batch in the fridge! SO excited! Can't wait till tomorrow. When the eggs are eaten, can I re-use the broth and just add 6 more eggs? Or new broth? YUM! Love your recipes! My son and I are now chili oil addicts, thanks to you!
OMG, these eggs are such soooo easy to make and taste soooo amazing, it's unbelievable! I even use the marination to stir fry some vegs, nothing is wasted. Please keep sharing your recipes, you have helped turn a novice cook like me into a professional! 😆
I'm eating this right now, wow it's absolutely delicious! Seriously one of the tastiest things I've had in a long time, yet so simple and easy to make! Thanks for the recipe Seonkyoung!
Just made these last night! :) I will have to see how they taste in a couple of days (or tomorrow lol, can't wait). I did taste the sauce and Holy Moly! That was spicy! I probably should have only added 1 jalapeno instead of 2 (green/red), but whoops... had to remove most and store in a tiny container for controlled fire-in-my-mouth toppings for later lmao.
I made these eggs and I have to say that they were the best eggs I have ever eaten. No wonder they call them drug eggs!! I just kept shaking my head while eating them with rice and saying to myself ..my God these are great!!
These look so good! I have three questions, please: 1) Are the sesame seeds toasted? 2) Do you marinate them in the fridge? 3) Do you serve them cold or heat them up?
twilightsdawning Palladino typically, whenever koreans use sesame seeds they are toasted. you can toast your own sesame seeds by drying stir frying them in a pan for little while. you'll even hear them crackle and pop!
Hi Seonyoung! I Made homemade dumplings today with your recipe for szechwan sauce! I’m obsessed with eating dumplings like this now! I added my own lil twist on it so it looks a bit different but still so yummy!!
I just made these eggs can’t wait till tomorrow to try them out!!! So excited! I also notice I misspelled your name Seonkyoung in my last post I apologize.
I love all your videos, but am a huge fan of the ASMR series for the reasons you mentioned -- they're so soothing. thanks for the hard work that goes into all these videos!
LOVE all the extras you're putting into your videos! So excited to see what you bring this year! Also, thank you for all your content...I watch your Life in Korea videos when I feel homesick. And when I want to make something I'm craving, that my Umma didn't teach me(bc she didn't cook it while I was growing up), your recipes save the day! This mutt appreciates you!!! 😍💖💖💖
I made this for my meal prep for work and yall! I made garlic rice and some veggies with this, bussing bussing! Perfect amount of sweet, savory and heat! For me. Them soft boiled eggs, is what makes it. The yolks when it hits that sauce 🫡 You ma'am got yourself a new follower!
Guys I made this and it came out perfect .. I wish RUclips would let you post pictures.. I used honey instead of sugar and skipped on the sesame oil. I had it with white rice, Dahl and Curry Lobster Tail. Out of this world
I love these eggs and so does my son!! its like eating something so delicious that you want to take your time. its just so tasty ! Such a great snack when you are hungry!! Thank you so much !!!!
Ymm....these eggs look so GOOD, served on top of fluffy white rice and with a li'l sesame seed oil and you're set! Uprated, loved the Mukbang tasting session at the end my dear Seonkyoung, and seeing there are more yummy recipes to try out that feature the incredible, edible egg! :)
I'm curious about it too! I made 8 eggs and was planning on eating it for the next 4 days but my family saw me eating it the next day and finished it before I could even blink!
The temperature shock when cooling off the eggs, also helps for separating the shell from the egg... That's why you blanch tomatoes and put them in ice water before peeling them, the termic shock separates the outside from the inside
I can't wait to make this!! Can I ask, how long do these last in the fridge? I'm asking so I know how big of a portion I can prep for myself. Thank you
Alternative recipe 4 Green chili 2labuyo One small onion One big tomato (2 if small) Half cup soy sauce Half cup water One table spoon vinegar A pinch of msg of ur choice (magic sarap or ajinomoto works best) 3table spoon sugar 1tablespoon cooking oil
Seonkyoung! I really appreciated how much thought you put in the videography of this video. The video quality is absolutely amazing. Keep up the great work!!! Just a side question: For how long can you store this recipe in the fridge?
THANK YOU for the tip about sesame oil! my sesame-addicted self was 100% already thinking about putting it into the sauce when i make these lol. will add after now, like you did.
Hi Ms. If i store it in the fridge, how many days can it last? Love your recipes by the way. I've been obsessing on Korean foods lately and watch a lot of cooking channels but I find yours the best among them. 😉
Jasmin Lacerna In her other ramen egg video I believe she says they can be stored for 7 days? I'd assume that these would last as long. Im not sure though so you might want to double check that 👍
I also find that after cooking the eggs u can drop 1 egg at a time in a cup or glass and shake it around and the egg shell pretty much crack and that makes removal so much easier
Made it this morning and it's looks fantastic, been sitting in the fridge now for about 7 hours so going to have some this evening with warm rice. I got 3 bottles of Biona brown rice syrup form ebay for a very reasonable price.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!! I couldn't stop laughing and smiling throughout the video!!! LOVE THIS!!! Who said that learning a recipe has to be boring?? Hahahaha I love her humor! ♥️🤘✔😘

How long can you keep the eggs in the fridge?

SooChef i love u as always too even idk u
Also you don't talk enough! Your positive energy helps out others so much! Trust me ! :]
Do we put this in the fridge when its done?
Good question. I read her text version on her website. And there it sais too put it in the fridge.
I’ve seen another variation where it was refrigerated for 48 hours before eating it to really absorb the sauce into the eggs
I like this series the most on your channel! you are just beaming with personality!
Hi Ms. If i store it in the fridge, how many days can it last? Love your recipes by the way. I've been obsessing on Korean foods lately and watch a lot of cooking channels but I find yours the best among them. 😉

Hi! You'r so cute without makeup! Thank you for this recipe! For how long can you keep those eggs in refrigerator?
Made it this morning and it's looks fantastic, been sitting in the fridge now for about 7 hours so going to have some this evening with warm rice. I got 3 bottles of Biona brown rice syrup form ebay for a very reasonable price.

First thing I did this morning was try these eggs I made last night. These taste so good!
Your weak-sauce self 😂🤣😂🤣🤣 I'm dead. I love this woman!
Korean eggs are so amazingly delicious, Mayak Gyeran. I so wish we'd had these, oh, and kimchi, in New Zealand when I was growing up in the 70s.

Mine are now marinating in the fridge can’t wait to try them thanks for the recipe
How was it?
Yay your voice 💜❤

That is awesome! Hope my recipes are helpful!!
3:20 Eggeu~
Think that's why I mess up peeling eggs so much I don't let it chill enough. Ty for tip. Excited to try this
How long are they good for in the fridge?
Up to 5 - 7 days!
Seonkyoung Longest can you keep reusing the marinade? Haha
I tried this recipe. It was really good, but after about a week, the marinade got a gooey consistency! So I would say it's good for no more than 5 days and wouldn't recommend reusing the marinade. I don't know why it got like that. Anyone else have that experience or have an idea why that would happen?

Good tip about the sesame oil as I saw another recipe where they did put the sesame oil into the sauce.
