Though I like the other guy's sprite since the double bladed scythe looks epic, I like this portrait much better
A lot of people would compare the voices from the original and from StarCraft 2, but I really can't decide which is more badass. On one hand, "I bask in the twilight." and "I hear an ancient voice, whispering from the Void, and it chills my lightless heart." sends chills down my spine, and on the other "You can no more evade my wrath than you could your own shadow." is almost no contest... I'll just say that DT is just generally boss for either game.

@sheshahari An Archon from 2 Dark Templar is cheaper than from 2 High, or 1 High 1 Dark, and it alone costs less gas than a High Templar.

@FreeeeS So this DT is the proud killer of a mushroom? Quite an impressive feat in my opinion.
@best360gamer It's the normal Dark Templar..There was two types, and it basically randomly selects which potrait you get.
he is a stalker in mechanic form and human in this form^^
The other dark templar has zerg carapace body armor...this has a mushroom growing on his head...I am intrigued.

@sangminlee48 It's just supposed to be the Unit's Portrait. The Portraits were never meant to be seen in this High Def. So Blizz cut corners. Honestly I think it was a good call.
@terminario8000 but the double bladed scythe is too cool. i like the variations in unites, it makes them more unique
@Kox300 Its not a mushroom its part of there head. Some protoss have that kind of structual look.

Oh no I don't mean the one from Starcraft 1.... That one both looked and sounded much cooler. I mean it looks cooler than the other portrait from SC2, the one with the scythe.
I miss the old SC1 voice, but these fellows still manage to be pretty damn sexy.

This voice is a lot less intimidating compared to the OG. The “So be it” was the best line in Starcraft
The most problematic in Protoss SC2 lines is that in SC1 their language really sounded like something to communicate and fluent. In that one they are doing to many pauses it feels like they are not native speakers but foreigners trying to say some words.
I like this portrait better.
