I really want a Khalai dictionary (i'm not that kind of nerd, Klingonian and Elvish aren't for me :)))
@@arczi1309 I know I'm late but here's one: starcraft.fandom.com/wiki/Khalani
@@cowwithinternet Thank you. Know I know a bit of Khalani.
Anyone feel Zeratul has a similar role like Gandalf?
+Azzazel Lacrima Like yoda it feels to me with the green psi blade and all
+Azzazel Lacrima
Somewhat. During development for Zeratul, Blizzard said they were trying to go for "Darth Vader if he was on the side of the Rebellion".
And dumbledore, though not as powerful as the books version.
I’m 6 years late but I’d say he’s almost like itachi uchiha.
If only he was also resurrected by the gods. Granted, the point of his death was to further convince Artanis to strive towards the better future...
"I will erase the demons of the past..."
What a great quote
I've been dealing with a lot of feelings of guilt and self hatred lately and honestly, Zeratul's quotes about redemption, feeling a great weight on his shoulders and not allowing his guilt to consume him have really resonated with me.
It's actually kind of funny how much I'm relating to a psionic alien
Thanks, Zeratul
Entaro Zeratul!
Then you should listen to the Eldar Warlock ruclips.net/video/uWVPP_lUL38/видео.html
An entire race of people who need to redeem themselves.
He’s my favourite dark Templar of the most
@@Boyscout533 En Taro Classic
Thank you
i really want zeratul to narrate my life
En Taro Zeratul! His Life For Aiur....gonna miss him
*Prays Blizzard won't kill him in Legacy of the Void*
I'm seriously like the only one who cares about fallen Protoss leaders ;_;
En Taro, Tassadar! En Taro, Fenix!!
No, you are not. You see, I watched the whole campaign of LotV, and on the epilogue I cried like a girl. No one knows what happens after the fucking end. And I bear great sorrow for this ending.
+LunarWulf Your prayers have received an answer: "Nope!"
En Taro Zeratul
Kay... Three years later... En Arudin, Zeratul...
His death was one of the few moments in a video game that fit "the ultimate sacrifice" scheme for me. Only two other game characters who died like this were Arthur Morgan and Desmond Miles. _En taro Zeratul, Adun Toridas_
"I will erase the demons of the past....."
So fucking badass. Makes my eyes water and my spine tingle.
Everyone always hates on the voices in starcraft 2, but I think that in my opinion starcraft 2 is an equally good as the original. so good day to you sirs.
Fred has a lot of capacity to alter his voice.He voiced 5 different heroes in dota 2.I really admire Tricia's voice(kerrigan).
Tychus is awesome too! Mengsk and Raynor are already same.Abathur is one of my favorites too.
Yeah you are right sc2 has a nice VA cast too
people just look for things to hate on sc 2, the only things that sc 1 did better than sc2 are story telling and some characters.
the problem is that sc 1 did everything right, so sc2 was supposed to make everything right and even more, but of course it was just an amazing game and a great sequel, and people expected much more
SC1 had such a high bar set for SC2, it was an impossible one to meet, SC1 was just too perfect. Voice acting is definitely on par though
RIP ZERATUL! En Taro ZERATUL!
"Hesitation leads to defeat."
So true.
Zeratul in SC2 - Soldier 76 but a Dark Templar
i miss:
"I do this for Aiur"
"En Tado Adun!"
"HuhUhmmm"
After the rebirth of Kerrigan, Tassadar distracted her long enough for Zeratul to slay Zasz, cerebrate and leader of the Garm Brood. This created a connection between Zeratul and the Overmind, which enabled Zeratul to discern the Overmind's motives and the Overmind to discern the secret location of Aiur. Not all the Overmind's secrets were learned at the time, as its mental defenses were still active.
En Taro Adun Zeratul!
Goodbye, my childhood hero! T-T
This really feels like it is a voice inside my head, well done.
Loved starcraft since the original, decided to look this up after I heard his voice lines used as samples in Hardstyle mixes. It goes well together!
Digital Punk - Oblivion, great track!
I hope Zeratul gets added to the co-op campaigns
Well now he is
:)
@MrKisameHoshigaki "You speak of knowledge, Judicator? You speak of experience? I have journeyed through the darkness between the most distant stars. I have beheld the births of negative-suns and borne witness to the entropy of entire realities... Unto my experience, Aldaris, all that you've built here on Aiur is but a fleeting dream. A dream from which your precious Conclave shall awaken, finding themselves drowned in a greater nightmare." Simply epic.
@G3rain1
"My burdens way heavily... I will be redeemed..."
The prophecy missions were so DEPRESSING.
"Glory to the first born."
Love his Starcraft 2 voice, compliments SC1 well. He's older, and seen more things, in SC1 he was a badass, younger warrior. SC2 He's experienced and sure of himself, while also being modest after his failures such as the loss of Aiur.
time has taken its toll on you, hasn't it zeratul?
@0:24 "Sho'zak maknul"
@1:39 "En erodeen, Raszagal"
@1:50 "Shuk dash shalak"
@2:18 "Arul nalladan"
in SC1 he said, "Stop poking me..."
"I will not falter. I will not waver."
In aurdine raszagal gets me
Zeratul: From Badass to Prophet in 1 sequel.
Damn shame.
Zeratul in Starcraft 1 had MUCH better voice than in Starcraft 2. Even his "Hmm?" was so badass. In SC2 he sounds like old karate master of something.
well, too bad the voice actor already gone, RIP
well he is older in sc 2, and seen alot more shit
Honestly, Zeratul's SC2 is everything he's supposed to be. He sounds like an experienced warrior who's past is covered in darkness and has seen all that is wrong with the world, but still sees hope on the other side. His voice is awesome in both games.
I'm happier that Zeratul's attitude doesn't completely suck like it did in brood war
Honestly I find both voices to sound VERY similar. The pitch between Fred and the original actor are nearly spot on par with each other, it's just the tone that is different. The original Zeratul sounded very much more interested and you could feel emotion in his voice, where as this Zeratul does sound bored lacks that strong leader like quality in his voice. Again other than that I feel they are extremely similar.
+Shon John
I think the original Zeratul sounds more zealous and determined. He seemed angry, in fact.
This one seems to be humble and wizened. He feels like an old sage.
They're both very different in my opinion.
Zeratul's original VA's name is Jack Ritschel.
Witnessing the complete destruction of the universe at the hands of a terrifying, unseen foe would have that affect on people.
one of my favorite characters blizzard ever made
His voice in Starcraft 1 is way more badass
he died....
Imperius He died a badass then!
i hope so
i feel that the voice change fits, makes it seem like he's aged alot between sc1 and 2
@123Charf "What came first, the probe or the nexus?"
neither because whenever we spawn in a game they are both there XD
@MostazalsLord yes if you've noticed when they die their bodies disappear and their spirit ascends, there are no physical traces that they died
@BadatStuff Notice though that they are a different color than his skin, and that in the back of his head are other, obviously cut areas, so those dreads might just be stylized versions of the clamps that all nerahzim wear.
@Kassidar The buildings are built by Khalai Caste within the great cities of the Protoss colony worlds. The buildings are assembled piece by piece, and then a warp rift is opened to transport the needed building through.
Protoss probes feature the necessary technology for igniting the warp rifts, thus no Khalai (workers, scientists, etc) are needed on the battlefield, and unnecessary casualties can be avoided. This has a setback, though, as the Protoss cannot repair their structures in battle.
Cel Mai Tare Videoclip Ever [The Best Movie Ever]
@stubert311 they talk to each other through telephaty. Thats why you can hear a echo like sound just before they will talk or at the end of their speech.
Fred Tatasciore is like Chuck Norris with a protoss voice
@sniperkid23333
he stopped wanting to kill Kerrigan once he realized shes the only thing that can stop the extinction of all life.
I Google'd it, it's not in the wiki but it's all that's there. So I'm going with it. Still makes for a cool opening statement for a match when you're Protoss.
I could listen to his voice all day
@EcoDimension "You have persecuted us for generations... ...and now you ask us to aid you?"
Oh my god
the voice actor is FRED TATASCIORE - MARVEL ANIMATION MOVIES' HULK!!!
@WHareRabbit Good point, I didn't think they'd make the clamps look like the original psionic appendages
What's interesting is that he's a Dark Templar Prelate...and yet he's still got his psionic appendages on and now he's the unofficial leader of the Dark Templar...hmm...That's a bit ironic since they're supposed to cut them as kids
the voice actor of the original Zeratul passed away, that's why this guy took over.
Wasn't in "In utter Darknes" something else when he died. Like. "It's shame we haven't acted sooner." or something like that.
It seems that in SC1, his voice is some kind of low, grunt like kind of speak, like Batman (TDK), but in SC2, there's a tangible voice over that, and you can still hear that old SC1 voice under it.
I think zeratul is a cool guy! He fights valiantly and isnt afraid of anything!
The language the Protoss are speaking when hearing their language sound like what would be heard in skyrim when dragons speak to you. I wonder...
Fred Tatasciore does the Hulk's voice in the Avengers animated movies.
@Nonamearisto I understand, but there are hardly remained original voice actors in SC, I think only Raynor, Mengsk and the Wraith pilot.
The Khalani (Dark Templar) Matriarch Raszagal was even more older, over 1 thousand years, when she died at the hands of zeratul himself, as the only wat to free her from the queen of blades' influence. She was a young protoss when she and the others of her kind where banished from aiur and helped by adun himself... En taro Adun
Even though he wear tathered pieces of cloth, Zeratul never forgot to glam it up with crazy amounts of gold...
the scales will be balanced!
Its relevant to 50 years as a human
@123Charf I'd have to say the nexus, since all that probes do are open warp beacons to the place where the Nexi are build.
Nexi themselves are built by the protoss robotics :>
@MrCythos
he got mind-effed by the Overmind and, after BW, has been travelling mostly alone for 4 years visiting all sorts of weird & scary places.
So it's natural that his features are more weathered than other Protoss :)
@Shameiaru When Zeratul killed Zasz, it was because he wanted the concleva to die by the Zerg's hands.
@oscarhorne
in sc1 there is an Tassadar Zeratul Archon but it wasn't used in the game but you can build it in the editor
so maybe he's comming in the third expension
@y2kblackout Amazing! To be honest, I can't wait! I want Legacy of The Void to be released ASAP:((. Kerrigan's problems with the Zerg are ok, but nothing compares with Prelate Zeratul's quest for saving the Universe! The only character in Starcraft Universe with enough power and love for his people to save us. As you can see, all of Zeratul's SC2 quotes are about saving Aiur and saving the protoss :"Aiur will be restored","Through darkest night, we await the coming of the dawn."
@Thought39 This is true. But I wish they had found a closer match to the original, which was a low, gravelly voice. It sounds like they just found a deep voice, gave it some reverberations, and called it a day.
a high templar goes to an archon, what do you call a dark templar who's easily used by every one else, Zer-A-Tool
when i look at zeratul...it suddenly reminded me about alien vs predator...
I will not falter, I, will, not, waver.
The War song is supreme!
>Xel Nagas destroys galaxy
>Que Saren Theme.
Classics!...
You have persecuted us for generations and now you beg us to aid you? We will do what we must, but we do it for Aiur not you! Legendary Zeratul quote. The most tragic Starcraft Character!
his head looks like the one of the stalker look at the two of them carefully
This is featured in "Oblivion - Digital Punk". Awesome song XD
The translation is "Raszagal, watch over us."
En taro Zeratul!
He's always senile. He was solely responsible for the destruction of Auir.
I could get drunk and listen to this guy for some time.
@TheMrMeff
I loved the old one too, unfortunately that voice actor passed away.
If they wouldn't take so much time, the previous Zeratul voice-actor would still live...
A Spiritual Warrior.
7 A 1000 Truths
0:24 is: Shoo zak mak nul?
like a rewind of something
He told something about Raszagal.
@Alin2005
Yup. It's the literal translation of "Protoss."
"The scales ⚖... will be balanced.."
glory to the first born
The guy does Swan's voice too. Awesome voice actor.
@ShadedMaxe So pretty much he became a hero to the protoss huh? Cool tnx for explaining
Oh my, it sounds like the Hulk!
I might be wrong, but from hearing Zeratul I'm sure Fred Tatasciore also played the voice of Shao Kahn in MK Shaolin Monks.
@TimeZest The same reason that we can't wear socks with sandals.
about 640 years, according to the SC wiki
@Citzen92 it's something one of the tribes of dark Templar do, kind of to separate themselves.
The mission is in peril!
Disaster is imminent.
All is in jeopardy.
The void... beckons...
Zeratul is such a positive, upbeat guy :)
Rip space gandalf :((
He sounds waaay different from SC1.
Thats cause the orginal voice actor died
shaden489 Oh...
+shaden489 Thats just saaaaad as fuck :(
Lee it's a very old game, what do you expect.
I remember the old zeratul voices
En Taro Adun (With original Zeratul Voice)
It Will be Done!(With original Zeratul Voice)
@sheshahari that, my friend, is the language of the protoss, khalaani, blizz has a dictionary for it xD its fictional
@bananaempijama I still give they new guy a lot of credit. For what it's worth, the casting fits Zeratul's character and he didn't do a half bad job. It's got to be hard to live up to an actor that commanded real presence like Ritschel did.
he's maybe a hundred or thousand years old
