I am a student from Germany and I am currently using Heptabase to do research and extract information for my bachelor thesis and to organise everything. Really an AMAZING product that Alan and Ethan have created! I'm really in love with Heptabase :D
Alan, thank you for demonstrating the functions from Heptabase 101. As a user for half a year, I found this video very useful, for you provide very clear samples step by step, specially how you organize the atomic pieces of knowledge in a format of mind map. By showing how you transform your reading notes, to the scattering of thoughts of cards, into a structualized modules. You help us visualize how Heptabase works. Please keep making videos like this, which is a great help for users to find out how to make this app handy. Thanks again.
Three important points. 1- Thank you for the video. It has had many benefits. 2- I write the biggest deficiency. Doing all these operations manually is now a waste of time. All these processes are now done with artificial intelligence. Not many people waste their time manually. Artificial intelligence needs to be integrated into the product urgently. Currently Taskade, Miro, Whimsal etc. Many tools such as create mind maps with artificial intelligence. It saves serious time. This is a big shortcoming for Heptabase. This should be the first thing. I have many notes. But I don't look for information in notes anymore. Artificial intelligence is already doing better. This situation needs to be resolved urgently. 3- Heptase mobile phone and iPad usage is very bad. Too bad. I understand you. However, phone use is 7 hours a day. People come across many notes but I cannot share them directly to Heptabase from my mobile phone. This is a very bad situation. Finally, I support heptabase. One of the top 5 products so far. I think you will enter the top 3 in a short time. Good luck.
I love these videos. Every time i go back and revisit them i learn something new, and I had several aha moments when watching this one. Please keep them coming!
I appreciate your taking the time to do this for us. I look forward to the future videos. Every new "nugget" of knowledge you provide helps make Heptabase either easier to use (efficient), more effective, or both. I want to "USE" Heptabase, not take time figuring it out. Thank you for this.
Alan, I've been using Heptabase for almost a year and I learned a few tricks from this that will be very helpful as I plan out my research and book. Thanks for a great video!
Alan! This is going to help many users - both new and old. Even though I've been following along for 2+ years, I picked up some new ideas and approaches to using a Heptabase Whiteboard (I was taking notes along the way in my Heptabase app of course!) Keep up the great work and maybe throw in a cameo appearance now and again from your stellar development team!
So AWESOME! Alan you are amazing! Thank you for creating this! I really wanted a system that was built out to be able to accumulate information from PDF Books I've been learning! With all of the other features for my own whiteboards with video and audio etc. Is SOO revolutionary for me! To not have to use multiple programs is also a HUGE advantage.
1 - Thanks for the video, very helpfull. 2 - The product is INSANELY GOOD 3 - Consider a regional prices, not everyone works with US dolars and the exchange rate can be very expensive. I tried it for 7 days trial - Sadly, for now, it's too expensive and i will keep my old note taking.
I spent weeks looking for a tools to use for my research that would help me visualize information how I envision it in my head and that is the closest tool I've found that fills that purpose.

Thanks for creating this tool, it inspires the user's creativity.👍 If this tool can combine AI to summarize or synthesize the materials, it will be more convenient and powerful!
I love handouts that are a checkoff list. Would be nice if you had a "Non-Task" checkbox icon we could use. Right now when we use the checkbox its committed to a task. thanks
I know you’re a man of culture because you mentioned reading Mindstorms by Seymour Papert, Alan Kay, Bret Victor. You should have a lifetime license in pricing as well, like Procreate. I guess that’s when it’ll kick off and number of sales will cover the profit. Subscriptions turn me off.

I am a student from Germany and I am currently using Heptabase to do research and extract information for my bachelor thesis and to organise everything. Really an AMAZING product that Alan and Ethan have created! I'm really in love with Heptabase :D

Thanks, Alan. This is the best tool that visualizes what's happening in my mind. Heptabase is more than a product, it's pure magic!

Alan, I've been using Heptabase for almost a year and I learned a few tricks from this that will be very helpful as I plan out my research and book. Thanks for a great video!

Super helpful! Thank you Alan!!!
Really Helpful and thank you for supporting me Happy New year 2024

❤ agreed
Alan
This is the tutoril I need!
Mega Space
This is really helpful
Thanks Alan!
Thanks. It was a really inspiring video. Do you consider providing any discounts for the students?
Alan!
Just discovered HEPTABASE and seems AMAZONG. I'm not very comfortable with Obsidian, lack of "tables" and dataview is an important barrier for me.

Thank you for this video, it is great! I have a question: when you are extracting notes from your cards, is the original card changing too? If I delete a sentence, the sentence will be deleted from the source card? thanks!
Thank you so much for the amazing tool! I have a question. When I copy the existing cards from one whiteboard to another, the linkage between cards is lost, and they become two separate cards in the card library. The linkage only works when I inset the existing card from a card library. Is there any solution to this? Thank you!
Beautiful app 🙏
Thanks! this video is so helpful。 I want to try pdf notes , to use 'tidy up' in the whiteboard , to reuse cards in different whiteboards after this video . By the way , are there any principles in the first highlighting step ?
so good
would love to get an Unsplash integration to easly add pictures. That would be great.
it's really helpful!!
fantastic
Unrelated question. What screen recording software were you using? I'm on windows (11) and noticed you're using MacOS. I use 4k monitors and have a hard time sharing my screen with colleagues as everything is too small. I'm hoping what you were using is available for windows lol. Also, fantastic video!!
Probably Loom
Screen Studio
game changer wow
love it !
Thx. Amazing app 👍
can you make a feature that allows you to export certain tables
