This is the best, detailed, review of Heptabase I’ve seen on RUclips. There are many lightweight reviews of it by the Influencer channels, but your video presents as someone who has explored the tool a little deeper, and the result is more authentic. Thanks for making it because even though I’ve been testing Heptabase for a month (I paid for a month), I’m tossing up between this, Logseq (long time user) and Capacities. Your video gave me some extra things to go check out. Thank you.

Excellent Review! Heptabase has provided me with an opportunity to really get away from old school hierarchical thinking and approach my thinking from a different perspective with an orders-of-magnitude change in possible solutions. Thanks for your work.

An astute watcher! Thank you for watching. It’s because they currently don’t support “graph view”, which many network-based note apps claims as main feature and one potential benefit of network base note taking.
But it’s not an input issue/limitation, and it’s backlog feature so I’m confident this will turn on green eventually.

The short and classic answer is "yes" and "it depends." There are numerous PKM (Personal Knowledge Management) apps available, some of which are free and offer various features similar to Heptabase, and even additional features. However, I have not yet come across an app that meets all the requirements of my use case. Could you please clarify which specific features of Heptabase you are interested in, and which features you are willing to compromise on?
