I really appreciate your down-to-earth, common sense approach. Your idea of writing something down so that you can remember it now makes so much sense. Thank you.

Have you checked out Scott P. Scheper and his videos and book? Antinet Zettelkasten. I love paper and have been writing in notebooks, planners and stuff for years. I just found you and subscribed. Looking forward to more. Thanks.

This is exactly what im doing! I made an entire system that allows me to catalog everything, it took so much time but now I can put everything in a notebook, any time for any topic or purpose, without bluelight blasting me in the eyes at night or running out of battery lol. It also allows me to do everything in one place, reference back to things, and all in a way that doesnt look like utter crap and doesnt have to be perfect. Nothing worse than having to write out a million pre planned spreads before doing what you intended. Glad to see more people joining the analog team :p

Hi - glad it resonated and is what you're doing. I've found it useful and like you said - no bluelight blasting at me. My A3 notes are being shared through my newsletter and IG and they are rubbish (artistically) but they are helpful in helping me remember - like you said - it doesn't have to be perfect. Thank you for taking the time to comment and watch the video - much appreciated.

@fuchrrr_7549 I've been mulling over this same project for almost a year now! I'd love to hear all about the specific sections and essential pages you've included in your journal. Please share!

Hey hey. Just wanted to let you know that because I'm currently in a somewhat Obsidian-tired phase and considering to transition into an analogue sketchnotes-y PKM system, I remered this video and revisited it - because it stuck with me 👍

Thank you for taking the time to comment - I know what you mean about being fatigued by digital tools - they are still part of my workflow but the analogue method is much more effective for me. Good luck!

Enjoyed listening to this Rob! It's similar to what I do as I have struggled to use all the online tools - same issue re being so easy to capture stuff but that doesn't necessarily translate to digesting it and using that knowledge effectively. I use those yellow legal pads for my scribbly notes especially when in meetings - just the act of writing them somehow cements the info in my brain even if I don't ever read the note back :)

Thank you Sylvia! Indeed - the act of writing down does help - I tend to doodle more now :) Hope all is good with you.
