I wish they went with Zamperla then and they of course have the better version of this model.

I love that ride there, rode it back in 2022 with an exception of getting one hard push in the the regular orange safety belt to get a green light, which it did.
Nice, yeah, it’s definitely tight lol, it’s a fun ride though.

I was there not to long ago after my Carowinds trip, I did fit on Twisted Timbers , but the restraints are unenjoyable and rough. Finally fit on Flight Of Fear had to used even rows which is row 2, did a lot of rides on Drop Tower 272 feet with the speed of 72 mph, Project 305, Tumbili Apple Zapple Grizzly Racer 75 Blacklot Stunt Launch Coaster and everything else.
nothing ever lasts in that spot. It must be cursed. The delerium replaced the shockwave, the shockwave replaced the galaxy(coaster the kid died on).
They honestly just mine as well make it a big seating area at this point lol

Someone died on the Shockwave too. I was one of the supervisors of that ride at the time (thankfully I was off the day it happened). So I agree, seems like that spot is cursed.
@@brandonwalkup3780 Hypersonic was roughly where the Windseeker is now. I was part of the original Hypersonic rides crew when it first opened back in the day.
Yesterday I was there. All new restraints installed, area was freshly pressure washed. Looks better than it did

I heard some people talking about seeing maintenance guys working on it this weekend, can’t confirm it though… either checking out the ride for a replacement or looking at how to scrap it

Apparently they might be replacing the restraints, but that’s crazy to me how something could take so long lol.
Shockwave fell off big time for me. It was fun while I was in middle school, and as I got older and taller, it just felt forceless and uncomfortable. I can honestly say I don't really miss it.

IMO, they should've kept Shockwave, but just convert it into a sit down coaster.
Kings Dominion should replace this with Mondail Avalanche that would be absolutely amazing.

From what I have heard is they're replacing the padding on the restraints which is a long and slow process.
Ikr lol, the ride is almost 10 years old which is crazy to think about.
