I should get credit for that line. It was my comment back when Taylor did his analysis video for Steel Curtain a year ago. ruclips.net/video/OpXnRVZzoyE/видео.html
I loved it!!! I laughed so much. One thing that was missing while mentioning no themeing and then about the trains and the ride ops. When the train goes up the lift hill the song Renegade by Styx is playing. After you stand in line for 2 1/2 hours and hear Renegade several times it gets pretty annoying. For anyone who is not a sports fan won't really know the significance of Renegade, I am a sports fan and a fan of the Pittsburgh teams and I seriously didn't understand Renegade till I Googled it while in line...lol. So, here it is. It originated in 2002 when the Steelers were playing the Browns and were down 24 to 7 and during commercial break the song was playing over the PA and the crowd got into the song and the Steelers mounted a comeback and won the game, so now every Steelers home game that song is played.
Well, we already have a Bulls Coaster in Chicago. It's even a perfect representation: most of its buzz is from what it was years ago back when such a thing was rare.
Watch it Taylor... Pittsburgh Steelers fan here. We may fall short but we still can win games and got 6 Super Bowls first and fairly. Steel Curtain was the nickname of the Steeler's defense in the 1970's. I would've ride it in August. August was too be my Midwest Coaster Tour. I was going to visit Holiday World (first visit), Cedar Point and Kennywood (first visit) but I fell off my bike and suffered an compound fracture in both my lower arm bones back in February and had to postpone the trip. Hoping to make it next year.
FYI, Blue Streak at Cedar Point is theamed to the Sandusky school district’s sports mascot, Skyliner at Lakemont Park is theamed to the baseball team that plays at the stadium next door, and Great Bear is theamed to the Hershey Bears hockey team. Steel Curtain certainly isn’t the first sports theamed coaster, it just got the most media attention. The only coaster where the sports theme actually works is Skyliner since much of the traffic it gets comes from people catching a ride on it before the baseball game and it would pump up a sports fan pre-game perfectly.
I first heard about this ride from Defunctland’s video on The Old Mill/Garfield’s Nightmare and upon first glance, seeing the name ‘Steelers’, the sign’s steel beam-like posts and the colour scheme of the ride made me think it was themed to a construction company.
Chill. I like it. It gives me the thrill that the Phantom's whopping no inversions doesn't. I like the ride for the coaster itself. Needs like green and something else on it, and it could be better. But the theming of it is superb, the overall thing is nice.
I was: on the first SC ride on media day July 12th 2019 I am: a relative to a Russian family that moved to the US in 1888 I hope: Taylor gets a night ride in the front row since the pacing is better later in the day, front is the best experience and night time is great.
5:08 when you spend all of the theming budget on getting iconic spectators for the safety spell (also i kinda expected a "the song renegade being drowned by the sound of the lift" joke)
Wasn’t Cedar Point’s Blue Streak named after the Sandusky Blue Streaks? Their high school football team? I swear I saw that in a documentary for Cedar Point somewhere.
This is one of the best ones yet! You should have mentioned the controversy of whether or not it has 9 or 8 inversions. Also loved the sports center parody. Well done. (Ps: The name Steel Curtain refers to the Steelers linemen back in the day, and I’m not even a Steelers fan!)
I understand the "sportscasters don't wear pants behind that desk" joke, but that's because the desk is huge and you won't have your eyes blinded by Takoda's pasty legs
Even though Steel Curtain doesn’t have more inversions then Colossus and the other 10+ inversion roller coasters, what it does have that they don’t have is all of its inversion elements different from each other.
I’m a Browns fan and I wasn’t upset when they did this. It makes sense. Also, I hate when the Steelers bring up their Super Bowls as their comeback to everything.
1:15 we need to make that joke when Exodus opens at Thorpe Park, Wow something over 200 feet not like we did that like 20 years ago with Millennium Force.
Id never thought I would see the day when a Coaster youtuber makes fun of sports teams and the Soviet Union at all let alone in one video.

true you have a point
2:03 was actually brilliantly filmed and had very clever visual gags...
that might've been your best skit yet Taylor jeez
I was expecting Dude Perfect to make a cameo
True
The continuity errors during the football throwing segment was fantastic.
Lmao
The biggest impression i came out of this parody with is Takodas pale thighs.
Takoda's thighs are so pale, they think mayonnaise is spicy!
Then again, that could be because that's all they ever eat
Those thighs alone are worth subscribing for

How about the Jets since they lost to the Dolphins!
The Lost Boy yeah. My team just lost to the Steelers sadly though
The steel curtain was the Steelers’ defense nickname in the 70s when they won the Super Bowl multiple times in a row.
Finally someone knows the Steel Curtain
GamingWithLogan yup
i know the steel curtain
I literally almost died when you made the meme about the soviet union

“Once you’ve experienced no theming …” Six Flags felt that
Can’t wait for Taylor to
“STEEL the show”
Can we just appreciate the insanely smooth editing at 2:44? That was incredible, as well as the parody!
Well, we already have a Bulls Coaster in Chicago.
It's even a perfect representation: most of its buzz is from what it was years ago back when such a thing was rare.
When your next in line for steal curtain 😀 then the ride breaks down after 3 hours of waiting

The joke about the dolphins was great
That ball throwing bit was easily the best skit you've done to date.
With a skit like that, I'm like "Should've gotten Dude Perfect"
The first thing I thought of when I heard the name “Steel Curtain” was the Soviet Union...
Ha! Lmao 😂

Huh
I’m pretty sure that’s like the point... it’s a play on words on purpose. 🤨
I believe that was called the Iron Curtain.

That was amazing! You combined two things I like a lot: roller coasters and football, and you even did your research too! Good job!

This was unexpected!
The Steel Curtain was the name for the Steelers defensive line in the 1970s because they were super hard to get through!
For anyone who doesn't understand the "Steel Curtain"
In the 1970's, during the Steelers dynasty, Their defense was called "The Steel Curtain"
This is probably the best coaster parody yet. Good job Taylor 👍
The sports parody is perhaps the best skit ever in one of these parodies. For once I laughed more than I cringed.
Where’s UrinatingTree
Julian Coronado only urinatingtree Pittsburgh fans will understand this but ok 😂
That'd be an ambitious crossover
This is probably one of the most imitated and commentated series ever.
As a Browns fan, this is pretty easily the funniest Coaster Parody.
Really thought Alex might go for the Smiler, with its 5 more inversions
He did Colossus Cause We Did 10 Inversions (More than the USA's 9 inversions) IN 2002 And it took the USA 17 YEARS to get 9?
