Thank you!!! "Putting the trim piece in upside down and turning" was the info I needed to complete my install. I had to file down in the spike on the trim piece in order to get it in the clip from the tiled angle but it worked with minimal modification
You saved my ass with the tip on the trim piece man! None of the other install vids show how to do it. Subbed.

I went through a couple of videos when I got impatient and tried installing it on my own, you were definitely more helpful than the manual it came with lol.
Unfortunately I don't get any sound from my unit, but I think it's because the previous owner had something else installed, the wires are all messed up and it looks like there's another harness inside already.
I just wanted to give an update I saw BMWselena’s video and figured out my problem, no splicing required, the harness you plug in has a blue wire, you connect it to the AMP on a plug into the unit. The one with the yellow, green, white, red cables that look like they belong on a TV, NOW I HAVE AUDIO YES

How did you get the sound system to work ? Did you need a harness ?
I have the older Eonon android unit for my BMW e46. Works great but it needs a fw or Android upgrade to login and get updates. Otherwise radio is perfect, plays iPod and CD's just fine. What is the best upgrade for my Eonon android unit that is on sale? 2003 BMW E46 with Harmon Kardon sound system??
What about for sound navigation and microphone? I didn’t catch that can you please Lmk @ what minute you mentioned it

hey man did you have to splice any other wires cuz i watched another vid and a guy had to splice his amp wire to the acc so he can get the volume to work

Dope video I got one for my E39 which is still awesome and works incredible. I even installed an snes emulator which i have been playing street fighter 2 with an usb controller. I need to get one for my brothers E46 and watching your vid has helped me decide to go with the more factory stock looking version they offer. that thing just sticks out too much for me and if it bothers me i know its gonna bother him. I totally understand that. Yes, It doesn't follow the exact body lines in the interior, but I does modernize it a bit
do you need to route the gps to the outside or can you leave it in the dash?
if i dont have that big square connection right there behind the head unit does that mean its in the trunk in my e46?
Great video I am just very concerned about the AC Control unit just flying out while driving. Is it held down or is it lose?
It is snug but still loose, however you can buy specific kits for about 50-60 or get one on ebay for about 20 to hold it in place. but that requires you to take the shift boot, and trim piece around the shifter off so it makes the install a little more difficult

Does anyone have experience installing an EONON unit in a 2016 BMW 325ci convertible. Info on line is confusing about whether unit works in 2016 car. Body of car is the older E46 and not the newer E90.
This is just pug and play right? I saw another video of someone running wires to the back for the battery and sound etc, but I watched your video first thinking it’s plug and play from the front

My ac control module doesn't light up or blow cold now that I simply just unhooked it an relocated it like you did . I'm guessing,g it went out

CSOTB Idk if you’ve tried yet but you can download “car launcher”, or “AGAMA” both in the App Store. It will change the layout. I like “car launcher” preferably tho. I ordered mine should be here Saturday. Only thing I can’t find is a 4g dongle for constant WiFi in the car

I know in the cars that have stock navigation you have to rout the harness and have to tap in the amp wire somewhere to get sound. I have an older android unit that had a wire to run from the from of the back to the front of the car but this unit doesn't have an amp wire in the front. any clue as to where the amp wire should be tapped into?
STURDY330 not too sure, mine hooked up and played fine from the box

Not sure which model number it is, but the start screen showed up automatically once I turned it on

What I’ve seen in another video, you might have to splice a certain wire, but I’m not all too sure
Go the settings menu and look for the option to turn on or off reverse audio. I think it has 3 options 1 is on 2 is like 50 mins and 3 is off. Either on or off should correct the no sound issue. Let me know if that works.
Update for no sound: 1st go to settings, 2nd go to car settings, 3rd go to driving settings, 4th select reverse audio and select on. That should fix the sound issue.
Plug in the stereo wires that came in the box. One of them should say Amp Con and Ant. On the harness theres a blue wire that says amp con. Plug them in and you should get sound. I had the exact same issue.

hi everone yes i have 2005 330ci went in fine but i will say this is not bad but too much interference makes your subwoofer jump on on/off and when you switch over radio to video

If you have the Harmon Kardon sound system, there is a separate blue wire that you need to splice in. I don't know exactly where you splice it in though, so you'd need to look that up.

@@CSOTB I think it has to do with what year and what market it was sold in. They changed the amp on the HK a few times throughout the years. From what i've heard, 2002/2003 is when they changed it up

Tbh, I don't use it. The only time that it's been used was when my buddy needed to drive his phone when I was driving.

When you installed did you have a problem with the speakers working? Only reason I ask is because some other guy installed the same unit in another video and had to mess with the wires a little bit.
You know the vibes 😏😏😏. I know which video you’re talking about. I didn’t have any problems with the speakers or wiring. I have the Harmon kardon setup and I’m not too sure if it matters or not, but no. My setup was literally plug n play

Yes, you always want to do that when handling electrical stuff in a car
I was told this is basically the same unit at seicane and they are terrible.. 50skid said not to buy these lol.
I haven't any problems out of mine what so ever.
Seicane, Eonon, Xtrons etc. all make the "same" unit, but they use really different internals. Everywhere that I've seen (including my experience) Xtrons uses the best internals, and lasts the longest, but is the most expensive. Seicane is a lot cheaper than Eonon or Xtrons because the components are absolute trash.

Do you have the base model sound system or the Harmon Kardon? I have the latter and it worked right out the box but I've heard that people with the base model have to do some wire splicing

Audio is way too loud.
Don't buy Eonon. I have bought two head units over 6 years from them. They don't support their products, don't offer software updates, use shitty mainland Chinese semiconductors, have faulty Bluetooth modules, constantly bug out on quick start which forces long start. The list goes on...
Havent had any problems out of mine but time will tell
