What do I need to do I have the harman kardon sound system and I have the head unit along with the wiring harness but am not sure how to install it since I have heard that I need an adapter for that
i installed mines the other day and i thjnk i need the extension harness because we had an extra plug in from the car harness so i think i need to buy the extension
From research I thought you just needed the extension if you had factory satnav as that harness connection is in the back of the car, I could be wrong though. Did you manage to get it fitted? I'm considering getting one of these but need to check my connectors too, as I have cd changer in the back.
Great vid-does it come with a canbus unit so that you can use your steering wheel controls or does that just work anyway? Ive read some having issues not being able to use volume and skip from the steering wheel. Thanks.
I ran across this in a reddit thread.... "Go to go to settings > Factory > password 123456 > knob settings > switch the steering wheel up and down > open"
Got the Same but also installed the Reverse Camera but she doesnt work online when im going manually to the Camera App and Not when im putting my car in Reverse dies somebody have an idea?
I spotted that you had the Harman Kardon audio system, was the installation any different than in a normal E46? I've been looking into getting one of these for my own car but have been reading about needing to do some janky stuff to get power to the amp.
Got an older Eonon, if you had the small screen/GPS unit you've gotta buy the extension lead that goes from unit to boot, got a mechanic to put that in cause I cbf
@@userlamezz it is very loud in fact, I would say the lowest setting is a little too loud for my taste but overall the sound is very good just a tick worse than stock
I have, 3/4days sitting and battery is flat, I cant find a way to turn it off, need to pull the fuse every time the car sits longer. 1 day is okay. Also my steering wheel controls dont work.
@@mileswebb802 battery issue was radio wiring related, the adapter was Wired wrong. The hand control problem is still unsolved, but i think its related to the clock spring.
Nice video man! Where did you put the gps antenna? Did you leave it behind the headunit?
Thank you! Yes tucked away behind the headunit itself
Hey dude what camera do you use? That quality is insanely good
Thank you! It’s a Sony, model is linked in description. Highly recommend it! Great for video and photo

They do retain steering wheel controls.
They do not have a way to hook up satellite radio.

It’s a great mod and makes the e46 feel much more modern! All plug and play 👍🏼
