I can still picture me and my girlfriends rewinding the tape to hear this song as we drove across the George Washington Bridge on our way to The Rink!!!! Harlem Stand Up!!!!!

First I want to say I love New Edition and all the other R&B groups of that era but I have to say this Troop was the very best at dancing and choreography and singing they were crisp and flawless nobody could out dance them now I’ll say this new edition can do the same dance moves but they just didn’t have the choreography to show that they could dance like that but new edition could definitely do those same moves I will say that but Troop those guys were amazing no disrespect to any of those Brothers in the other R&B groups I love all you guys glad I was around in that era to enjoy the music when it was first coming out

You notice there are not many groups or bands today. Whether it's by design, I don't know. You remember listening to the radio, & if a song wasn't extremely hot on the charts, you had to wait 3 or 4 hours before you heard that song again.

This was one of the most best dance video by a group in the 80s that no one could Top. It is so sad they did not get their props because people just wasn’t ready. These dance moves are not easy. They killed it!! I still watch this video to reminisce. Now that I’m 56 and I still trying to practice the dance moves but of course I can’t keep up now just like I couldn’t keep up then! But it’s damn good exercise! And I love to still dance.
Probably the most underrated and underappreciated group of the late 80's/early 90's. I never understood why they didn't go farther with such incredible vocals and stage presence. Must have been either infighting, poor management or both.
Blame Atlantic records & management. Most of the black artists back then and even before were victim to "counter marketing" It is where whatever residuals and profit were made from the black artists records were then used to promote and market white pop artists instead of reinvesting back into the black artists. These schemes were widely used in the industry. Name 5 black male artist from Atlantic records that were HUGE from at least 25 years back. Dont worry... I'll wait.
