Remember when AOhelL would have reps in every store handing out CD's, but many people only had floppy disc drives? Those CD's were decorated on walls and hanging from ceilings.
I have struggled for a few years now for a way to put my dvds onto my NAS to pipe them though plex, and I have now found it! Thanks man!

@@Slurpee_Burger I dont use plex. I use a custom solution that runs in a docker container on my nas. I belive plex is the one finished solution to rin .ISO though. I've been told it can do it, but i haven't had any luck getting it to do it so i made my own solution.

One correction. DVD and CD discs ARE digital storage. You just move the files from one digital media to another.

If you want already created iso files for all windows versions Server and Client try the Microsoft evaluation centre. They last 6 months.

i have had a Windows 2000 installation cd. and i wanted to make it into in iso so i can use it on Virtual box. and it worked great!
i had some of the those disc somewhere I got them while working as a janitor for my school in the summers while in High School cleaning out the library they were in the trash.

I just got done having a really weird issue on my Dell Precision M4800 laptop where it could not read the source disc. Neither my internal DVDRW drive nor an external LG DVDRW drive would work. For some reason, opening VLC and selecting "open disc" and letting the DVD movie play a little allowed the DVD to ISO process to complete successfully.

wow thanks so much this one is very simple to use also free (sure as you mentioned takes time depending on the size and what type it's etc.) but it does works and i have some old games and as you said there are few games you cannot find / get anymore so its nice to have a copy on your usb drive or somethings even though is just an .iso but again thanks so much was looking for a solution and this was it :)

Discs like gamecube discs are protected against just ripping iso's like that
Most likely you'd need to hack the original console (maybe a console with backward compatibility idk) and rip an iso from there. You might be able to do that with a wii

I’m trying the same. I’m trying to make a digital copy of my disc so I can use it on my non-GameCube compatible Wii as the Wii disc drive just spits it out and none of the disc slots on different PCs are helping + InfraReader can’t read it.
sf josa I tried that, but I realized that the disc drive wouldn’t have an opportunity to read it since my Wii is non-compatible.

I want to put NSMBWII on my laptop legally and I have the disk and no DVD disks I could use for it. Is there an alternative, or am I just confused?
The Wii doesn't actually use CD *or* DVD, so you might want to look into just buying an external drive that will read Wii discs.
Tried on GTA Vice City 2 discs CD tried copying Play Disc got into forever read error couldnt finish it sadly and didnt work either :(

Disk image file. No bootable content is found. Tried InfraRecorder and it says an iso already exists, do I want to over ride it. Just clicking into those folders through Windows File Explorer and there are no iso's to be seen.
Just tried it on windows 11 it seems to work. I wonder if they have newer version of the software.

would the file paths on an installation cd still work? I tried copying and pasting the files but was getting missing folder errors...
mine had a lot of errors but the file size is the exact same and it completed reading the disk do i have to worry about the errors? cuz i want to dual boot my system but i dont have space for a nother drive and i want to copy windows 7 on to an iso so that i can replace the dvd reader with a nother drive

Does this work if the disc is DRM protected? Its helpful for old games that hasnt been stored to GOG website yet. I just think its handy for old PC Games that i dont want to carry around interms of Optical CD/DVD reader

Ok for the time being can I save these on a SSD external and when I am ready once I have my gamecube and ready to to play again I can move it to the SD card.
ok few more issues... I have windows 10 Home will the infraRecorder still work when I go to the page windows 10 is not even listed as a option I do understand this is a old video and suggestions. also when I my laptop not seeing the gamecube disc, tells me to insert a cd. ?
Thanks for share .do I need to put .iso on the name? Maybe that's where I missed it. I copied windows Server OS to ISO without putting iso and it won't just boot on HPE DL380.

I do trust the creator and have followed him for years. I am sure at the time this was perfectly fine but now it is most definitely not safe.

Is this program 100% safe ? I ran it through virustotal, and it was clean and a few other places, and only one came back with a malicious file found so if some one can confirm it's 100% safe. Thanks in advance

To clarify _ my target is to Split the 2.4 GB ISO file into a size that can fix many Standard CDs due to my car player not reading DVDs for unknown reasons....

I have watched your video on how to create a cd rom file backup, but need to ask you something: if u created an ISO from any one of your PC cd-rom's that require them to LAUNCH the game FROM THE CD, how do you launch the same game from the now created ISO file, ?
My game that does this is: "NASCAR Racing 2002 Season".
It requires the cd to install & launch the game.

same here I have doing some research it appears that you need a particular dvd drive that can read gc games. NO one is mentioning this information on any video I have watch I get it these video are old but still should have been talked about. :(

i found windows longhorn server beta 2 at my school
most DVD are 7GB and blue rays range from 25 to 100 GB so you'll need a big 8TB of storage! but very well worth it !! I recommend a must !!!!!!!!

I'd keep it on your actual hard drive, not the thumb drive.
But yeah, in modern versions of Windows/OS X/Linux, you just double-click the ISO file and it will mount it as if you had put the CD/DVD in and it'll work just like that.
EposVox normally i would keep it on the main drive but i only have a 32 gig drive and it is almost full. so thats why i was wondering if i could run it off a thumbdrive
