If you want to create a bootable iso from Windows folder or other types of files like office files, sometimes you may want to create a bootable iso from these folders and you can with image burn, which is free to use.

I like to know what we gonna see when you put this ISO to a USB-stick and boot from it.
There is a problem. I was creating my custom OS while it says: The product key does not match any of the Windows images avaliable for instalation.
I would like to see a video on how to crate a vhdx and make it bootable on any windows platform win8 upto win11 i have tested several how to's on making a vhdx but none show indepth setting the boot and would using grub 2 be any better. cheers in advance
At 3m10s, you said "Click on the Build Button here," but didn't show the build button. Which one (where) is the "build button?" Later, you also mentioned "leaving a link to the bootable image file" but I couldn't find it. So, where is it? How do I find it? And, again (I wasn't clear about it, how do you use it? - drop it in an application ISO that you've created??
How do you make a ISO bootable and burn to a CD....Nobody seems to have a video with a CLEAR explanation. The sites seem to think everyone is making bootable USB's!!

Been doing it many years
I used to use ImgBurn years ago when creating DVDs from shows recorded on the video HDD unit that I wanted to keep. Not that I have to do it these days as everything gets chucked on a server and streamed from there.
I also used it to make a backup ISO of DVDs then ripping it with MakeMKV as it was much quicker doing this, than opening the disc with a player and using MakeMKV to rip it from that. And you can also keep the ISO backup incase something happened to the original disc.
I wasn't aware that you could also use it to create backups of your Windows install director. Nice
Thank you for the instructional video. It provided me with a workaround for how to clone a USB drive onto a smaller device. USB Image Tool, which you portrayed in one of your other videos, cannot resize the image. I had to "waste" a 32GB USB drive for a few 100 MB rescue environment in an emergency. Cloning that drive would have resulted in a 32GB image and thus min. 32GB drives for restore. With the help of your video I created a bootable iso and put it on a smaller drive with Rufus. Works like a charm (for Windows based media) and gives you a nice, small backup image.

So Brian when you have made the ISO on the desktop - you just use software to create a bootable USB drive? One such as Rufus for example. Great video mate and one that I find always helpful in reminding me of what can be done so easily.😀

This Imgburn and Nero 7 with build in Nero Burning Rom is amazing I never thought that Imgburn still works and it’s free because Nero 7 is a paid Premium software which at the time I had to buy the license key for it xx
Good video, good explanation and very understandable English. I would add a reference to Rufus or other software to write the created ISO file to a flash drive, so the bootable feature can be effectively used. ImgBurn can indeed write the ISO file to a cd/dvd, but they are being turned as obsolete media.

How do you create an office usb stick installer from the downloadable office files? Not with any keys or anything, just something that I can use as a back up so I don't have to re-download them all for installs.

I had a Windows 8.1 iso file, I decompressed it and deleted the iso file. If I compress it to the iso again, will it return as before?

@Iron Tiger Yep and I also wanted to see a tutorial on that because I'd like to burn a custom Windows 11 Lite iso I made to a CD/DVD when I get a clean empty disc for that. I know it might be a silly thing to do to my pc and Windows 11 but the OS has tons of bloatware that I don't actually need so I decided to follow a tutorial and make my own version of Windows 11 Lite. Otherwise I could actually use a USB stick instead if possible because that would be easier than using a disc.

I think I posted this to your discord video suggestions, but ventoy is many times better of an experience than this, as once the usb is made, you can drag and drop multiple iso's onto the drive to be used. I highly suggest giving it a try.

I USED image burner and it only give me 9ko mds file and 5 gig rar file that i can"t use it as iso

If I understand correctly you download an .iso file of Windows 11, then you unzip it, you use it and then you rewind it into another .iso file... It's not easier to keep the original and skip the step of ImgBurn? With Rufus you can create a very simple bootable usb key. 🤔
People want to build iso all the time, maybe you have a edited windows files or something and now want to recreate it.
I look for this tutorial for create a iso from samsung magician software and boot it with ventoy. For safe erase ssd disk.
Depends on what you want to use/do.
For instance, I have my own licenses for Win10 and personal custom scripts, therefore I have ALL the interest in having them run AT INSTALL, so... instead of having to copy them over to every freshly made bootableUSB PEN using rufus I would rather have them all setup in 1 single ISO file?

An ISO had Viruses. Files extracted, Cleaned and made ISO with ImgBurn. Old ISO 689MB. ImgBurn ISO 3.5GB. How make NEW iso Compressed like original.
Sorry, what's an ISO? It's so easy to lose people in the very first sentence. And for no good reason.
