Thanks a lot! I set up a Home-NAS with Emby yesterday and hand no clue how to get my movies into it... Tried a lot of apps and watched a lot of tutorials but yours is the only one that's actually working! Great job and very good explanation!
The girl is easy on the eyes so it's not to bad. But I will let you in on a little secret. RUclips has a fast forward button. Now I know your amazed, and filled with joy, so sit back and enjoy the show.
It's 2023, and I just followed the steps that Robbie provided, and can confirm that it works. Awesome, I have about 700+ dvds that I have never converted, so I am super happy. Thank you so much!!!!!!
I had over 1000 dvd at one point in 2010. Running out of space to store them. I looked for a way to rip the dvd's to a file type like mp4. Resolutions were 720p back then. So I converted everything to 1080p with Handbrake. Very time consuming process. Now I use MKVmake. It's a very simple process and it only takes about 15 minutes or so to rip a dvd. Most of the DVDs I gave away to friends. DVD or physical disk will be a thing of the past here in another few years. I have now collected over 2000 movie titles and I'm storing everything on large capacity hard drives. This has been my method for the last 13 years now, and it works great.
This is great, thanks! I'm tired of my kids ruining DVD's that I paid $20-30 for, that we won't get to watch again. Having a regular video file that I can either stream over PLEX, put onto a USB stick (because more devices can do that now), or just burning more copies of the movie after my kids scratch up the disc will be great! A lot of people are complaining about "less yak" but I actually think it's nice that he's explaining to people who otherwise might not understand. Wish it would have just had a disclaimer: "If you're pretty tech savvy and already understand how this works, skip ahead to about 6 minutes"
Summary: Rip DVDs with Handbrake and stream anywhere with PLEX. To enable the ripping of copyright protected DVDs via Handbrake, follow instructions from 10:46 forward....

Thank you for doing the digging to find the "Hidden" VLC treasures and for explaining that most DVD's only really require Very Fast 480p 30FPS encoding. I didn't know that Handbrake just used DLL's copied to it's directory. Keep Broadcasting!!
Blah blah blah✂️ Cut the extra commentary and get to the point. We just want to remove the copyright protection and rip the disc quickly. Just Start there and leave the rest out👀
I'm sure you're tired of hearing how the video took a while to get to the point, so... thanks for the video, there was a lot of useful information that enabled me to get the job done. I appreciate the effort you put into copy and editing.
Thank you so much! We are going full-time in our RV and can't take all our DVDs in their current form. This will allow us to put them on some external hard drives so we can still take them with us without all the bulk. You have been the best instructive video on this topic.
If you want to make those vhs tapes in to mp4 files or whatever just get a composite to usb adapter and a vhs player plug the vhs player in to your computer and get handbrake and then press start encode wait an hour and then you can put it on plex or like me you can just put it in your hard drive (You will need the file from the vlc website that bypasses the copyright) (this has nothing to do with the comment)
For the love of Pete, please digitize that collection like Jstar said. VHS tapes don't last forever and a digital file is way better than a VHS cassette. Then you can clear up a ton of clutter in your life.
I started off with Handbrake years ago, but now have and use a licensed copy of MakeMKV as my primary program for pulling content from discs. I went this way because I want the original quality of the content from disc since this is mainly in home streaming for me. I still play discs too, especially for TV shows which can be a royal pain to pull from disc and organize. I've even gotten into 4k blu-ray via an Xbox one s and 4k TV. So, in the end, I like to keep a mix of tech as I still make use of it, at times. Great video have a great day!
Just a few points. Yes Handbrake is needed to convert your VOB files to MP4 (or MKV if you wanna be that fussy) and is probably the best converter on the market by far (I use it for converting U-Tube videos the lot). Me personally I prefer MP4 for the editing ability is much easier in Windows for the metadata without additional software. But you failed to point out the subtitle options must be fixed otherwise no subtitles will be saved with the MP4 rip and on top of that an annoy "chapter 1" etc will be burned onto the image of the movie or is the only subtitle option you have. Finally, I would rather use DVD Shrink to rip the VOB files from the disk and then convert to MP4 using Handbrake. The reason is that DVD Shrink has great features, will bypass the copyright protection without needing to add any dll's and in selecting which audio tracks and subtitle tracks you want to keep in your final MP4 file, which Handbrake picks up automatically and includes them all. There are tutorials online for this as well. As to the actual legality of this is, as said, a very grey area. If you have the original disk and raided by the police they can do nothing. However, if after 5 years you have converted your copy of the DVD and that DVD no longer is in your possession (by loss, damage or natural disaster) and you also do not have the original purchase receipt (who the hell keeps them lol) then technically the police can charge you for piracy. Just a warning for people who intend to do this. For me, I am doing it and have over 1500 titles on 4 TB of hard drive space, including all of the Star Trek TV series and many many more. The one point not noted is the amount of time it does really take. Unless you really have a powerful system (at least Quad core) and enough RAM you will be waiting hours to covert one movie unless you want really bad quality on your beautiful 60 inch screen. As to Blu-Ray that is, as said, a little more complicated, but not that much. For that you need the software called MakeMKV. As the name suggests it takes the Blu-Ray files and stores them as a MKV file. It also gets past the copyright protection software so no need for any additional tricks. The downside is that is copies the movie file from a Blu-Ray byte by byte - that is a movie file will end up been up to 20+ GB. But luckily, again, Handbrake comes to the rescue and converts that file to a MP4 or MKV that is much smaller without too much of a loss in quality. The only issue I have had personally with this approach with Blu-Rays is the time it takes to convert (large amount of time because of the size of the file) and the subtitles get all messed up on some movies because of the unique way subtitles are done in Blu-Ray. Any ways, not a critique of this video, just pointing out other options for people to explore. Cheers
Thanks Dave. Much appreciated. Please hit that subscribe button and make sure the thumbs up is highlighted. :p Now, when the haters comment I can just say "Well, it worked for Dave" - so thanks :)
Thank you! When I downloaded and used Handbrake before, everytime I finished decoding the file, the end result was super glitchy and messy, downloading the file you told us too worked a charm! Thanks :)
Thank you. My dvd collection is under attack by my wife's dogs. They love to chew the cases. So I need to convert about 2500 DVDs to flash drive. This is a big help.
Thanks for the video which has solved my problem. Very clear and concise instructions. Much better than useless videos that go too fast and have no commentary, just loud rubbish music. Can't believe the ungrateful and unfair comments.
I saw that copy of Tremors in your hands. I have that very edition in my collection. Life just isn't the same without a few graboids here and there. Nice to know you appreciate them also. :-)
Thank you so much, I wish I would’ve found this years ago! I’ve tried so many bs programs out there and none of them work! Only your simple method, and I already had handbrake & VLC on my computer, I can’t believe I already had pretty much all the pieces (minus the file to DL from VLC), thanks again ❤
You really don't, you might forget someday about Plex or how it works, that is why he is explaining it to people. Don't you weary. Please be nice to him and even to that Beautiful women he is talking to meaning that don't make this video look bad or have a bad name, they or showing you a how to video man, please relax and take a chill pill if there ever was one for Exiguity.
MakeMKV is the best software for ripping Blu-Rays and DVDs. It will rip a non-compressed file that also includes the original audio (typically DTS-HD Master Audio). No need for compiling or anything like that. It will also bypass all copyright BS. After watching the whole video I take it these people aren't exactly tech savvy.
If the internet dies, I'm plausibly guessing that bigger problems might be at play making the potential market worth of any media collection not a critical priority. Just sayin', lol.
True actually. I hadnt thought of that. "When the internet dies" will be as soon as the government can regulate the ever living fuck out of it. The republicans allowed net neutrality to die...so it's on its way my friend.
So we will have enough electricity to run a screen and DVD player but not a storage device connected to a laptop/tablet/phone? I'd rather buy/barter for a 256GB USB thumb drive loaded with 300+ movies than a massive stack of 300 DVDs that are much more susceptible to damage. I can even copy the files onto other USB or external drive devices and barter with those. I don't see the logic of your comment.
Tons of money to be made overseas with DVDs, because a lot of countries dont have internet or wifi access and will pay handsomely for DVD material to be made. So while people are laughing at the dvd medium editors in the know are quietly making a killing.
To anyone who has been having trouble like myself with handbrake even after the VLC workaround, I've discovered a fix. I'm not entirely sure how it's exactly working but here it is: after doing all the instructions in the above video. 1. Reboot your system. 2. Download winx ripper (free) 3. Open winx ripper and load the source your attempting to rip. 4. Open handbrake and now attempt to open the source and it should be okay- worked for me hope it works for you. Just make sure winx stays open.
Slow start, but useful. I was really pissed off and got mad that it was handbrake, then I saw you were adding something to it that I wouldve never found out about. Thanks
She is just a sounding board in this video. Why not just talk to a cardboard cutout of a pretty woman? She's like super pretty. Wish she was actually in the video for something other than saying okay, right, and yeah.
Yes, but did you notice how many comments said, get to the point? In the back of her mind shes thinking "I am not going to add to this, arent we here to show HOW to do this? Lets get to it?" But he had a pretty girl's full attention, how often does he get that, he is going to take full advantage before they break for lunch. Some girls like smart guys, including me. So it was his chance to show his cool relaxed intelligent vibe banter. The thing is most girls are programmed to sit and listen and let a guy lead. Guys love it, there are a ton of videos teaching girls how to make a guy feel good about himself. If you get bored with a pretty woman who doesn't add anything to the conversation, change our culture. Good luck with that ie; advertising for EVERYTHING.
Thanks so much 2020 and this still works. I have a couple dvds I wanted to save to my computer so I can watch anytime don’t have much space for dvds have to store away in boxes
I use DVD Shrink 3.2 in Windows 10 with a blu-ray writer and honestly, there are very few movies I can't copy. I actually think you can copy more DVDs in Windows 10 than you can in previous Windows (8.1, 8.0, 7.0).
That's what I use. But, it's worth noting that DVDs aren't actually copy protected, you can copy them as many times as you like, the issue is that they are protected against playing in players that don't have the appropriate key. The result is that you don't really need DVD Shrink if you have a player that can handle the protection. I've had a few that won't rip with DVD Shrink, but they're mostly Disney titles, and EaseFab lossless copy seems to do a decent job of turning them into a folder. Which is annoying as I prefer to have a single ISO file to keep the random files to a minimum.
I finally got my system together but I have a question. I was ripping Cocoon The Return in Super HQ (with the recommended pixels). It took over 19 hours to rip. I have 4 gb of ram and an 8 tb hard drive. Why should it take that long? I am not tech savvy so need any help available. Thank you in advance! Kat
This is a very useful video. I did as you illustrate and it’s working. Eventually I got the solution that I looking for through this video. Thank you very much.
Got rid of all my beta players,LD Players and and most of my VHS tapes. I keep a dvd wrier/vhs combo in storage just in case I run into something that has never come out digitally.
It worked!! 2:14 movie 480p was larger than I expected at 1.14 gb. I'll have to play with compression to make it small enough to use like a digital copy on my smart phone. Goal of maybe 500 megs.
OR you could just plug in your dvd player. Certainly inserting a disk is way easier than all of this work. I think this falls under the category of "I do it because I can", not because you need to.
People were doing this 10+ years ago. I remember doing this to my whole collection so I could sell them, that was 2009. You should have made a video on how to rip a 4K movies.
I just downloaded MakeMKV and had the same issue backing up some of my DVD's when using it... So I just thought I'd try the idea in this video. I found and copied the libdvdcss-2.dll file to the MakeMKV folder (located on my PC in; C:\Program Files (x86)\MakeMKV ) When I tried MakeMKV again it began reading the DVD's it failed to read before. So thanks for the video and idea :)
Just like physical book libraries, it's nice to have physical DVD libraries. But I agree that if you're a movie buff (and obscure older movies are NOT readily available via normal streaming services like Netflix and Hulu) they can indeed take up the entire house if you collect and keep them all. So many movies, so little time... and space.
Yes, and one of the big disappointments I had with Netflix after they went digital only was that practically none of the movies that I wanted to see were available. They weren't obscure movies, but they also weren't the most famous ones either. And, if you don't mind DVD, they can be had for quite cheap these days.
I have 3 external hard drives, and amassed a collection of about 450 films. I don't use handbrake all the time but it is very helpful. I use another DVD ripper made by Aiseesoft so I have 2 options
Very interesting and informative video. This is making me want to rip my large anime/movie collection to a series of hard drives....so that i can not just back it up but also share it out to my other devices in the house. Just need to figure out how to rip blurays now.
why is everyone complaining about blu Rays taking up space lol. sure they do take up space but it's better than Netflix. not only will it be MUCH higher in quality but they have special features
Thanks for the tutorial. I followed your instructions and it worked beautifully. I'm so glad to be able to convert my DVDs to mp4 on my laptop to view and then put my DVD's in storage. (Sorry, not yet at the point to get rid of them yet). Also transfering the files to flash drive so thery're portable and i can take anywhere. I will agree that it took a lot of chatter to get to the tutorial but so what, I got what I wanted and it was worth it. Now it's a matter of committment. Like planning that project of getting around to scanning and backing up the countless photos from decades long gone into the computer.Well, maybe when I retire. Anyway, thanks much! Oh, BTW, under the subtitle tab, I just hit the "Clear" button and I have no issues with subtitles or chapter numbers being burned on it. Of course I have no need for sutitles so i clear it. Others may want/need them so make the choices appropriate for your needs.
Quick question, every time I have copied a DVD using Handbrake, I have gone through what I thought would add the subtitles in the copying stage but I have never gotten them added, what am I doing wrong?
Thank you! Great vid, though I confess I did fast forward to the juicy bits, I also appreciate the "yak" - it's there if I want it, but I can skip it too.
EZ PZ we may need to make our next tutorial "How to fast forward" for other commenters :p Glad you figured it out and hope the juicy bits helped you out!
I have a VCR/DVD combo I still use. I don't get the whole point about how much room it takes up. You take the DVDs out of their jewel cases and put them in a Fellows disc folder which holds about 100 of them. Toss the jewel cases. I don't watch enough TV to even consider streaming BS around. I play guitar instead. I gues these kids haven't figured life out yet and need to watch it on TV.
Pay no attention to my last post. I got scooped off and directed to some wondershare crap software. actually handbreak is awesome and works as advertised. Thanks for the vid. I find Plex to be a bit buggy but works well after getting the hang of it's quirks.
If you have a Nvidia GTX graphic card(GTX 1060), I would try DvdFab and XMedia Recode. Use DvdFab to decrypt to hard drive, then use XMedia Recode to convert to the format you want. DvdFab works with both Dvd and blu-ray.
I don't use a crack version. Once the trial version is done, you can still use HD decrypter for free to copy ether the full DVD or the main movie to your hard drive. Then you use xmedia recode to transcode to the format you want. That is the way I do it.
@@Zero11s What software did you use to determine this? There are a lot of settings and your software may not be using the right settings. Some settings are for encoding real time game play, and some are for transcoding video. I am not a programer but developer.nvidia.com/ffmpeg .The NVEncode Programming Guide link on the bottom of the page gives detailed infomation on it. But if you want to just do CPU encoding "xmedia recode" can do that to. There are other transcoding programs out there, some free, some that cost, use one that you like.
@@lostcowboy5 I used X Media Recode and Movavi Video Converter both free and paid are the same in speed. The NVenc HEVC implementation hasn't even B-Frames.
@@Zero11s Hi the NVenc HEVC 264 implementation can have up to four B-Frames. The NVenc HEVC 265 implementation cannot have B-Frames. I have not used 265 yet. I have not played with the 264 settings much, some settings do not support b-frames. If profile is set to baseline, you do not have B-Frames.
Yes, you can. I don't have a Mac to test with so I can't really be much help. But it's the same as we show in our video - you go to download.videolan.org/pub/libdvdcss/ and find the most current one with a Mac build. I see it in 1.2.12 for example. Good luck!
Yes you can do it on a Mac, its actually quite simple, just follow the instructions on the VLC site (which is essentially to drop off the file in a specific folder and you're done. If you wish to add the ability process Blu-ray discs then follow the simple instructions here: wp.me/p3QqUs-2tZ
It works just fine on all versions of Sierra. I would deinstall the existing installation and install a fresh copy of Handbrake 1.0.7 then enable it to process discs. To enable DVD wp.me/p3QqUs-Ie To enable Blu-ray wp.me/p3QqUs-2tZ
Also, Handbrake is great for blu rays but won't rip the menus, and the whole DVD, just the movie itself. I want the WHOLE disc. How do I rip a complete VTS folder into a prepared decripted form so I can burn the ENTIRE DVD MENUS AND ALL onto a disc? If you do it with the Ashampoo it doesn't work. It wrecks the picture.
I'm really behind I want to make space too; still have old VHS and VCRs, especially interested because my VCR died, and borrowing a family member's right now. If I get a analog to digital converter cord could I plug that in to my computer is there a way to use handbrake for saving VHS movies into files too? Will the VLC file work for the encryption on VHS too (I think macrovision is the most common)? Also what formats does Handbrake allow to save files as? What format files does Plex take?
Thanks a lot! I set up a Home-NAS with Emby yesterday and hand no clue how to get my movies into it... Tried a lot of apps and watched a lot of tutorials but yours is the only one that's actually working! Great job and very good explanation!

Orrr..here's an idea, play at a faster rate or skim.. You know you're not watching it in real time, right?? REEEEEE

Thank you for the video. Exactly what I needed to be able to watch my Creepshow DVD that's a different region to where I live.
Make MKV has a 30 day free trial then it's $50
Michael Nance True. Just uninstall and reinstall. Works every time!
Free whilst in beta, find the code in the forum.
not true, i use make mkv all the time and have not had it expire. once in a while i have to update it is all
Accept Rokus dont like playing back MKV's threw Plex
I've watched a lot of videos like this and this was the only one that worked. Thanks a lot.
When the internet dies dvds and vhs will be worth money. We relied to much on digital services.
I plan on retiring by selling my 8 track collection.
2. Download winx ripper (free)
3. Open winx ripper and load the source your attempting to rip.
4. Open handbrake and now attempt to open the source and it should be okay- worked for me hope it works for you.
Just make sure winx stays open.
worked for me. what a weird work around.
in March 2019 still the same version of libdvdcss
it works tho
@@israeldlr4365 it didnt when I tried. like could you see a difference between the 720x584 to the 480p30? thanks for answering.
Slow start, but useful.
I was really pissed off and got mad that it was handbrake, then I saw you were adding something to it that I wouldve never found out about. Thanks
Yo girl just sit down and say "ok" and nod from time to time
still adorable to watch though
Adds to the vifeo.
She is just a sounding board in this video. Why not just talk to a cardboard cutout of a pretty woman? She's like super pretty. Wish she was actually in the video for something other than saying okay, right, and yeah.
Should I tell him about the other 2
Yes, but did you notice how many comments said, get to the point? In the back of her mind shes thinking "I am not going to add to this, arent we here to show HOW to do this? Lets get to it?"
But he had a pretty girl's full attention, how often does he get that, he is going to take full advantage before they break for lunch.
I have a couple dvds I wanted to save to my computer so I can watch anytime don’t have much space for dvds have to store away in boxes
...DVDs are still cool...
Sloth Motions mom?
They scratch
"DVDs are still cool" Yes they make AWESOME skeet for target practice!!!
Yes
If there's no Television service but electricity they're great.
Kat
Doesn't work anymore with the latest version of HandBrake, I installed version 1.0 from the archive and that one does work!
Once you rip your media to digital format, do a backup version too. Really, truly, do a backup.
This is a very useful video. I did as you illustrate and it’s working. Eventually I got the solution that I looking for through this video. Thank you very much.
Lots of people have and use DVD players. Even VHS players. I know people who still have BetaMax, Laser disc players.
I can even take my movies with me when I go on a trip.
I have 9 dvd players!
Got rid of all my beta players,LD Players and and most of my VHS tapes. I keep a dvd wrier/vhs combo in storage just in case I run into something that has never come out digitally.
Frankly i still use DVD's because some stuff is not on Streaming Services. Old TV Shows especially been disapproving from Streaming Services.
These are moments ill never get back.
Thank you so much!!! End of 2020 and still works!!!
Which version should I do now in 2021??? You said 1.2.12 in 2016.... Help please?
Hell yeah, copy all my blue movies to DVD, time to get Barbara and the puncture repair kit out wooohoooo
But what if the DVD is region locked?
Dave Bravo 👏 you have best answer to all this nonsense.
People were doing this 10+ years ago. I remember doing this to my whole collection so I could sell them, that was 2009. You should have made a video on how to rip a 4K movies.
It's embarrassing but I'm considering using plex now.
For someone who is new to this, what's the latest VLC form to download? Need something for a westpac
I just downloaded MakeMKV and had the same issue backing up some of my DVD's when using it... So I just thought I'd try the idea in this video. I found and copied the libdvdcss-2.dll file to the MakeMKV folder (located on my PC in; C:\Program Files (x86)\MakeMKV )
When I tried MakeMKV again it began reading the DVD's it failed to read before.
So thanks for the video and idea :)
Glad it helped!!
If being boring was a olympic sport this pair would be gold medalists.
I have 3 external hard drives, and amassed a collection of about 450 films. I don't use handbrake all the time but it is very helpful. I use another DVD ripper made by Aiseesoft so I have 2 options
Dvd's are still great for massive backups... Just store them in the dark!
Watching this in July 2024. Does this still work? Do you have an updated video?
What happened to Fred Durst??
What a transformation!!
Haha! Thought the same thing.
Great Video, I followed the instructions now I'm ripping my DVDs to my Plex server I built.
Super useful video. Thank you for your time and effort putting this together.
I watched every second of it because I liked the view.
Her hair and complexion are baby-like.
I appreciate this video so much. Thank you, you guys!
Cheers!
It worked! Thank you!!! Way too much chatting lol, but the instructions were very clear and easy to understand and that's what matters.
Need less yak and more fact
skip to 5:56 and he just begins to touch his laptop
Get to the point, please!
joe contreras v
HaHaHa!!!
LOL
Very interesting and informative video. This is making me want to rip my large anime/movie collection to a series of hard drives....so that i can not just back it up but also share it out to my other devices in the house. Just need to figure out how to rip blurays now.
Very helpful. Love the step by step instructions. Gained a new sub.
Charles Marcoe cheers!
Thank you. It didn't finish yet but if it works you guys are amazing and extremely helpful.
why is everyone complaining about blu Rays taking up space lol. sure they do take up space but it's better than Netflix. not only will it be MUCH higher in quality but they have special features
& on top you own it forever instead of paying a monthly subscription to access your library.
Tristan Backup But Netflix offers you much more for the same price, but monthly
Thanks it helps me a lot!
Confused why a show named "LinuxTechShow" is using Windows 10.
Perhaps they think they're cool because they're using the Linux Subsystem for Windows 10.
OMG! There are 4 tremors movies? I did not know that.
Not to mention a 5th movie in 2015, and the 6th installment in the saga comes out NEXT MONTH!
plus syfy made a series out of it.
Tremors make me shake.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, here it is the 29th of November 2017 and this sage advice still works!
Quick question, every time I have copied a DVD using Handbrake, I have gone through what I thought would add the subtitles in the copying stage but I have never gotten them added, what am I doing wrong?
So this is what Fred Durst has been up to.
LMAO.. i thought the same thing.
Computer science for dummies: DVD entertainment is very important.
Thank you for showing how to use and install decrypter. Works awesome.
Thanks for this video. Still helping in Oct 2019.
Glad to hear it, Lee. Hope we can have a sub 😁 thanks for watching!!
Watching your video from 7 years hopefully this 2009 dvd will rip
Thank you, this video is very helpful!
Glad to hear it helps! Thanks for watching & subscribing!
@@LinuxTechShow Seriously ??
This guy is the KING of beating around the bush.
I still use a dvd recorder with vhs tapes. Still works.
Yeah, rip all of your DVDs....... none of this HD downloading/streaming malarkey.
STILL WORKS!!! THANKS!
0:54 Ooohh!!! That forced laugh
NVenc maybe fast but it needs a high bitrate to reach quality which takes up alot of space
Can you do it on a mac. I can find the handbrake file to copy the libdvdcss file. Thanks
I'm trying to install it on Mac OS Sierra 10.12.5, however it says its incompatible.
It works just fine on all versions of Sierra. I would deinstall the existing installation and install a fresh copy of Handbrake 1.0.7 then enable it to process discs.
To enable DVD wp.me/p3QqUs-Ie
To enable Blu-ray wp.me/p3QqUs-2tZ
It keeps giving me an error.
Are the chapter marks included in the ripping process, so that you can skip chapters when watching with Plex?
I always keep physical media of my favorite franchises for collecters value. Other bunch of movies & series on my HDD. 😂
It wrecks the picture.
you spend too much time 'sell' the idea, but, i guess, people just want to see the rip part.
Do you happen to know any update on this mater for macOS Sierra Version 10.12.6???
put a dvd player in to your media center
Bang! problem solved
mike spikeey how do u put one on your computer??????
I'm really behind I want to make space too; still have old VHS and VCRs, especially interested because my VCR died, and borrowing a family member's right now. If I get a analog to digital converter cord could I plug that in to my computer is there a way to use handbrake for saving VHS movies into files too? Will the VLC file work for the encryption on VHS too (I think macrovision is the most common)? Also what formats does Handbrake allow to save files as? What format files does Plex take?
Thanks for the help... The links still work May 18th 2019
Thank you for the informative video. Very well explained and showing every step. This is how it should be done. Great job.
until the HD fails and you lose all of your movies, or after a few years, newer Operating systems are no longer compatible with plex.
Always backup your HDDs & keep your favorite physical media so you won't run into many problems.
She looks really thrilled about this topic. Give me a break!
