I was wondering when you were going to clean the dingy. Looks great. After viewing most of your great videos, I was thinking what skills could help you out. It appears you have a good group of people to teach you and talk you through the tough stuff. In your stable down time and if the location is conducive, it would be good to learn how to learn to use plumbing and electrical tools more proficiently. What tools and parts to use for what application and more importantly what not to use. You are doing great and are constantly learning. I am so rooting for you and Mako. Be sure to put some more time in with you Grandfather while you can!!! You are so awesome.

Dear Lauren Have you ever tried cleaning your laundry while you are cruising? I see how much of a pain it is for you to do laundry. In Alaska some people will throw their dirty laundry in a tough breathable bag filled with bacteria killing soap (ocean safe) and drag it behind the boat propeller when cruising. The propeller creates cavitation (like a washing machine), the salt water and soap will clean your clothes. It seems like a crazy idea but it works. 👍
Hi Lauren...an easier method to clean your dinghy...put your cleaning stuff in the dinghy and go to the beach....lift your motor off and set it down....pull the dinghy onshore a bit more and flip it over...go nuts cleaning !!! Lol. Worked for me !!
Hey Lauren and Mako, I wanna be your friend too. While you're in the exzumas, visit Staniel Cay and the rock grotto. Watch out for the fire coral on the walls though. Give my kitty Temptations and she loves em'. She'll jump right up on my lap to get em' and she normally isn't a lap cat. Lauren, I can tell when you are on a port tax because you use the starboard winches unless rolling in or out the job.
I learned this trick when I lived in Hawaii. But fish like Cheese Wiz. Just take a can with you when you go snorkeling and squirt some in the water and watch the fish come. But great video. I really miss snorkeling. Thank you.
Get you a couple cans of lithium grease...aerosol Next time you clean the dinghy or if you want to clean it specifically to do this. It must be perfectly clean of everything like it was new. Spray the lithium grease anywhere the dingy touches water. It will soft at first...as it cures becomes more durable. As you can probably imagine...the barnacles arent very fond of lithium grease. Lol It can be found at any automotive store in an aerosol can.
I remember at one point we were at a Anchorage for a month or so and there was a man on a boat next to us. Yeah really cool little Boston whaler tender with a big motor I thought it was the coolest thing in the worldcall r in the mornings and asked if I could come out and play like he was a kid too boaters are awesome enjoy them
Exuma🤠 I vacationed there and Eleuthra. I forgot how clear the water was. When I was there any locals who had a sailboat were there for the family island regatta. Good memories!
