Fat shaming works...because it worked for me! Some people just need a slight kick in the rear and a bit of reality put onto them to get into shape. They gotta realize that a healthy body physically/chemically helps the mind to be better as well.
Gmork Sure something like that will work for some people depending on how their mind works but for most people it just pushes them into a depression because they don't have a strong mind or a strong enough will to change. Then again, some people are happy with how they look and don't have a desire to be fit. Btw I'm not disagreeing with the guy, that shit was funny. I would like to see fat people get healthy and I agree that sometimes they do need a real push. Don't push too hard though, they might roll.
Now hold on. Just because "fat shaming" worked for you doesn't mean it will work for everyone else. I've known plenty of people who not only didn't get motivated by people bullying and/or teasing them for their weight, but it made them even LESS motivated to change their life.
"The perfect push up wasn't around, so is it a necessary thing? No. Your effort is a necessary thing. Your discipline is a necessary thing. Your intensity is a necessary thing" - Great comments!
Best quote: "You gotta train amazing, you gotta eat amazing, you gotta sleep amazing." Well, I know I can eat and sleep so I guess that's 2/3 of amazing.
...He's a personal trainer who also works with celebrities, he's around attractive women exercising every single day. There a point when you'd become desensitized to it, sure it's still attractive but it doesn't have anywhere near the sexual appeal that it does for those of us who don't work in the fitness industry.
QuietDuplicity but I mean come on man, no matter the profession, if Scarlett johannsen was doing squats in front of you, your pecker would be harder than a diamond
I think he meant, for the general fitness part, you can't buy it, thus that is why companies don't sell it. He was aiming at the part of "the simple things worked 30-40 years ago, so it will work again now"
He has no fucking clue what he's talking about though. Yes the stuff that he suggests works, but the exercise parts are not optimal and the diet part is an overkill. Eating that clean will have no additional benefits on your physique AT ALL, except for a little less water retention.
That was hands down the best inspirational no bull truth that everyone needs to hear.... No selling lies... Straight up truth... Do the work.... No miracles, no short cuts... Discipline, choices, effort, intensity, dedication, drive and hard work.
no BS? unless he includes hemsworths cycle in the video then 100% BS. not even a beginner with great genetics is putting on 25 lbs of pure muscle in 6 months.
+Tim z I agree with you Tim. I don't know if Hemsworth is some sort of genetic anomaly or something, but I never knew anyone who put 20 lbs of muscle in 6 months.
Out of all the years I have been working out and paying to get fit I have never heard anything like this! This guy is great and inspirational in so many ways...there need to be more like him!!!
I've started on 27th and by Jul. 9th I've lost 12 pounds doing intermittent fasting. I do work out and eat right. Intermittent fasting works. no it's not bullshit :0)
Intermittent fasting helps (SOME) people stick to a diet. I never eat breakfast anyway, I'm never hungry. But I can more than make up for it the rest if the day. Its makes it easier to lose weight, but providing you're hitting your macros and smashing your workouts it doesn't matter if you IF or not, you'll still gain.
If you have enough fat in your body, YOU ARE NEVER IN A CALORIE DEFICIT! And you don't have to eat 200 grams of protein everyday; 50 suffices. Think about it, if you add just one protein shake (20 grams), to your diet, each day, that makes for over 7kg or 15 lbs of muscle, PER YEAR!
***** Surely you can read, can't you? So first you admit that you don't know what I'm talking about, only to say "thats the dumbest thing". You are not very smart, are you?
its amazing how many people new to fitness and bodybuilding ask the the question, "what's the secret?" or "how do you look so good?" or "can you teach me?"... i always laugh because there is no secret. its just like any other goal or aspiration you may have... I always keep these two words in mind: consistency and intensity. Because no matter what happens in your life that pulls you off track, at the end of the day your consistency and intensity will always trump in giving the results you want to see. You just need the drive and patience to see it through.
"Scarlett Johansson talking about what she wanna accomplish, she got some...hmm ahh.... you know fantastic fight scenes........" we all know he wanted to say jugs
you freaking legend. speaking truth. the industry is a lot bigger in that it promotes gimmicky new workouts etc all to make $$$$. Im a qualified PT but I dont work in industry as its crap. Fundamebtals of fitness and muscle building have not changed.

squats gives you a square ass...unless you eat a lot of carbs afterwards then fat gets stored in the ass and then it's round not square. Look at bodybuilders they have square gluts
@Kuba P yes all! the ones that don't have a square ass have a lot of fat in their gluts, actual shape of gluts is square no matter how many squats you do. Fat is what makes it round. The more fat you lose from your gluts the more square it gets. Contrary to popular belief if you want a bigger booty, squats won't do it for you, that comes from eating more calories and storing more fat in the gluts area.which you can kind of do by targeting that area to store fat like workout then those muscles will absorb the carbs and water faster after a workout in those areas
This guy said it straight forward. To look amazing you have to train amazing and sleep amazing. It's hard work and requires a load of commitment. But sometimes in order to get the results YOU want you have to get out of your comfort zone and do workouts that aren't "usual" or simple.
*MOTIVATION FOR GETTING FIT* Benefits of being fit: you increase your lifespan, can do a lot more physically (obviously), better metabolism and immunity to disease and illnesses, no discomfort in random parts of the body, overall feeling better and actually being smarter (you improve the blood circulation in your body and naturally in the brain as well) and etc. If you still don't want to be fit you either have a certain illness that prevents you from doing so (mental doesn't count in my opinion) or you're just lazy asf and/or a food addict. Don't give me lame excuses like not having enough time. Fast workouts that are literally 5 minutes a day 3 days a week are literally enough to get you fit and take less time than taking a crap. If you don't have time to take a weekly crap then you have some serious problems. Sorry grammar Nazis I checked and I don't think I have any mistakes.
It's funny how in the most obvious sentence in your comment you have three out of three i's not capitalized. Over all is one word - overall. Plus that forgotten space before the parentheses is an eyesore. I do agree with the message you were trying to deliver, so thumbs up for that!
Thanks I didn't even know the word parentheses was a thing and I weren't aware of how to use it properly, logically I though it would make the most sense to use it like comma's so that's what I always did, I'm used to hearing it as brackets from video's and discussions related to maths.
Exactly as Jason said... life is very different if you spent 8+ hours in work, I would also love to do two phase training 5 days a week, but I am lucky if I get into the gym five times a week. Also diet, it is expensive not everyone can afford that.
With well payed jobs usually comes a lot of time spent in the work. I am one of the lucky ones who has relativelly well payed job (but being 8-9h in work is standard), for me to train it takes get up at 5:00 AM every day to be in the gym from 6:00 to 8:30 and be in the office at 9:00 where I am basically to 6:00PM, I get home at 7PM make meals for tomorrow and go to sleep basically. Its not impossible to do but you simple can't do this every work day since some days you need to do stuff like go shopping, taking care of things and so on. I live alone and I have no children, having them would make this impossible.
People still thinks of training science as this mysterious form of dark magic , and bcaa's and fat burners as these magic potions that only few chosen ones knows its secrets ... give me a break !!! There is no amount of hard work or supplements that can get you 20- 25 lbs of muscle in 6 months !!! only a profound knowlage in pharmaceuticals can !!! and NO . Not every Bro scientist knows the half life , the biotransformation and bio availibility of "real supplements" . This guy is all about the correct dosages , stacking and managing the side effects .
Great video, this guy knows what he is talking about. Best advice Keith Kline a nutritionist told me and my husband years ago in Houston, is be realistic in your goals, if your tempted to eat something you know is not good for your weight loss or body building goals make a "better bad choice", in other words you have a craving for Haagen Daz ice cream, choose Vanilla yogurt instead. Weight training is mostly determination, building the habit of working out and being consistent.
I love how he preaches about the fitness industry always trying to sell you something that you don't need. You can do it all on your own.... and then look at the description lol
I never write comments but I’m impressed. I’m a trainer and PT for 30 years. That said, this guy has the most honest opinion on the fitness subject I’ve heard in a long time. Keep it basic!
Yup... 20-25 lbs in 6 months... no supplements... and with circuit training of 5 curl, 5 tricep extension... sure... saying you asked the 20-25 lbs muscle from santa claus sound more reliable....
During my schooling to become a Master Trainer; I always preached simplicity. I couldn't have ever said it better than Mr. Gaver. I even referenced him and this interview in one of my final exams.
Those 20lbs are not pure muscle, mostly water and a bit of fat ...but it does give you volume and size. with abit of "movie magic" (proper light, tan, make up..) you look like a freaking beast .
I fucking love his passive-aggressive way of calling out lazy people.
I would like to see fat people get healthy and I agree that sometimes they do need a real push. Don't push too hard though, they might roll.
Embers Agreed my man!
Gmork The dangerously overweight people on the borderline of death are what really scares me. That shit needs to stop.
Now hold on. Just because "fat shaming" worked for you doesn't mean it will work for everyone else. I've known plenty of people who not only didn't get motivated by people bullying and/or teasing them for their weight, but it made them even LESS motivated to change their life.
Damn, I like that dude. We need more "No Nonsense" kind of people like him in our world.
I think all trainers should aspire to be like this guy.
He should bottle it up and sell it.
Indeed! So down to earth. A real blessing in this hysterical and loud industry.
It's really hard to find trainers like him because what's on other trainers minds, is whether or not you can sell it.
Stehdy this guy is getting paid big bucks regardless. I can only imagine what an actor or a studio pays him.
"The perfect push up wasn't around, so is it a necessary thing? No.
Your effort is a necessary thing. Your discipline is a necessary thing. Your intensity is a necessary thing" - Great comments!
I read this just as he said it
Muscle Ring I like that comment
Muscle Ring Nobody can sell you that
4:43 the way he’s reminiscing back to Scarlett J doing air squats...
haha i saw it too. Scarlett....doing air squats...alot of air squats.....
Arch Angel can’t blame him
Gabriel Marsh haha yea cant blame him
That little smirk of his was hilarious.
Scarlett in yoga pants doing air squats... Damn that'd be a sight any man would kill to see.
His, "no bullshit attitude", is so refreshing. Wish I had a personal trainer like this.
Best quote: "You gotta train amazing, you gotta eat amazing, you gotta sleep amazing." Well, I know I can eat and sleep so I guess that's 2/3 of amazing.
you're hilarious
I heard that at 1:42😕😕 I already failed
no you have to combine all 3 together a+b+c= amazing
its a 3 legged thing he says. :P
I saw that smirk when he said air squats. Player.
Eternal Odyssey "Alot" of air squats
So you're telling me... This guy was watching Scarlet Johansen Sqautting
I would cream my pants watching Scarlett Johansson squats.
That wasn't her.
you killed it...
+78 Tranz Am Man It said he has trained her.
Sean Bassett But that's not her in the video where "This guy was watching Scarlet Johansen Sqautting"
4:42 lmao the way he was saying air squats was like "boy i remember that"
Exactly what I thought xD I was about to make a comment but you beat me to it
...He's a personal trainer who also works with celebrities, he's around attractive women exercising every single day. There a point when you'd become desensitized to it, sure it's still attractive but it doesn't have anywhere near the sexual appeal that it does for those of us who don't work in the fitness industry.
Some say he's still thinking about them even now.
DryBlue Berries bruh he banged her
QuietDuplicity but I mean come on man, no matter the profession, if Scarlett johannsen was doing squats in front of you, your pecker would be harder than a diamond
Calls it like it is, I respect that straightforward attitude.
unbelieveable, a fitness trainer telling the truth. respect.
Damn this guy speaks truth
ok
whens the next vid dropping bro
how so if he didn't mention gear?
Exactly.
I think he meant, for the general fitness part, you can't buy it, thus that is why companies don't sell it. He was aiming at the part of "the simple things worked 30-40 years ago, so it will work again now"
I like the fact he didn't smile once except when he said " air squats ...... oh yeah ...she did a lot of air squats "
I like the way he put everything into perspective.
idk why bodybuilding.com uploaded this he just roasted them
he roasted nike mainly
• sinnah • i know, right??? lol
This guy has zero smile-muscles in his gene pool
07:11
i love 7 11. cool store
haha
when he talks about scarlet's air squats you can see the joy in his face
Lol
He's a trained marine, SEAL, and sniper. I bought his book and I have to keep a watch on it because I think it's going to kill me too if I slack off.
A really honest man ....
"get out and go do something". its a very simple yet potent piece of advice. do a little something everyday can make all the difference.
ye u cant buy motivation you gotta want to change!
Its kinda odd the this video is on BB.com. Like they thrive off selling shit
You gotta hand it to BB.com to actually promote the video, though.
how did he get the hulk in shape?
Lawrence Davis the heaviest cycle ever known to man
you might wanna look up Rich Pianas youtube channel.
I imagine with about 5 million polygons.
the hulk got him into shape
1000.000 kcal per day lol
Now bring me to the guy who trained the Hulk.
It was puny Banner.
This guy is the real deal. he puts it as it is. No BS
Ex-navy seal might have something to do with that.
He has no fucking clue what he's talking about though. Yes the stuff that he suggests works, but the exercise parts are not optimal and the diet part is an overkill. Eating that clean will have no additional benefits on your physique AT ALL, except for a little less water retention.
wall balls. lots of wall balls
This jinj gives me blue balls!!
That lucky lad smiled like a pervert when he said that
Also looking down is signal that he have a visual memory of scarletts ass
Hahaha the real MVP
That was hands down the best inspirational no bull truth that everyone needs to hear.... No selling lies... Straight up truth... Do the work.... No miracles, no short cuts... Discipline, choices, effort, intensity, dedication, drive and hard work.
This is actually such a inspirational video
This is the best bodybuilding.com video! No b.s., he's not trying to sell you something. He delivers cold, hard facts...with no sprinkles.
no BS? unless he includes hemsworths cycle in the video then 100% BS. not even a beginner with great genetics is putting on 25 lbs of pure muscle in 6 months.
+Tim z I agree with you Tim. I don't know if Hemsworth is some sort of genetic anomaly or something, but I never knew anyone who put 20 lbs of muscle in 6 months.
this guy just inspired the fuck out of me and I'm here getting stoned
hahahahahahahaha
Same here but i still workout and try to eat well. Dosent mean you cant have fun ;)

1.'' Chicken, Broccoli, Brown Rice''
2. '' If you wanna look amazing, you gotta train amazing, you gotta eat amazing, you gotta sleep amazing. ''
Such an honest man.
I like this guy, straight to the point, no bullshit.
love this, not often you see truth in fitness
I tell people the same thing everyday in work , the most important word is " consistency "
Consistency produces consistent results :)
Out of all the years I have been working out and paying to get fit I have never heard anything like this! This guy is great and inspirational in so many ways...there need to be more like him!!!
Simple straightforward and no nonsense. Like this guy and his message
Simple and to the point. Eat train sleep and stop making excuses. Everything else is just "fluff".
But kinobody says that the secret is intermittent fasting!!! LOL
He also says the key is correct diet and consistent workouts or is that bullshit as well?
I've started on 27th and by Jul. 9th I've lost 12 pounds doing intermittent fasting. I do work out and eat right. Intermittent fasting works. no it's not bullshit :0)
Intermittent fasting helps (SOME) people stick to a diet. I never eat breakfast anyway, I'm never hungry. But I can more than make up for it the rest if the day.

Real talk, whole video! This is really the perfect advice for anyone, beginner or pro
"i'm a personal Trainer and i have trained a couple of people" that's calling being Humble.
No, that's called thinking he is a badass and knowing it.
Love this Dude's philosophy!
Thanks man for pumping me up. Today was my workout day but i was really tired and after watching this video i am regretting not going to gym.
laying in bed feeling yesterday's dead lifts. this guy made me want to go back to the gym.
never knew mcgyver was a bodybuilding expert...
I wish i could give your comment more thumbs up! hahahaha
lol
he probably made that weight set using a lamp and a shoestring
Jesus I was about to say that!
I knew I was too late to make this comment
I come back to this video again and again. I like Duffy’s direct, no nonsense approach.
25lbs of muscle in 6 months = Vitamin S
but jimmy there is no such thing as vitamin s ?
Do the 8 hour Rich Piano arm workout. LULZ Rich Piano said he made 45 pounds of muscle in a year.
"Scarlett Johansson talking about what she wanna accomplish, she got some...hmm ahh.... you know fantastic fight scenes........"
we all know he wanted to say jugs
He was thinking about her ass
EN3NRA that’s why he said squats🤣
yup..the gurl got some junk in her trunk
you freaking legend. speaking truth. the industry is a lot bigger in that it promotes gimmicky new workouts etc all to make $$$$. Im a qualified PT but I dont work in industry as its crap. Fundamebtals of fitness and muscle building have not changed.
Yup, I gave up working in the industry years ago for the same reason
, I love the fact that this is a straight forward to the point video. . Keep it up I think more people just need straight talk
This guy´s advices are pure GOLD . Honest guy saying no bullshit, hard to see these days.
What he say at 4 mins needs to be heard by everyone. So many people are focused on what supplements to take or some new work out trend, so no there not focusing on there workout nor the effort you need to put into it. If more people listened to this it could help them on there fitness journey so much more.
yeah i agree, information overload.
My sleeping pattern is shit
Amen
Pick a time to go to bed and a time to rise. Stick to it. Prepare for bed as consistently as you can manage. More importantly, get up at the same time.
No snoozing unless you're sick. Stay out late and you get up all fucked up? Get up for a couple hours, take a 2 hr nap, then face the day.
Dardan M Story of my life
MerlinsJester Running until you vomit has fixed my sleeping pattern, Im gonna stick to it.
walter bishop Sounds good to me.
"perfect push up isnt necessary thing. effort, disciple, intensity is a necessary thing"
I like this guy. Honest, no sales talks, direct.
Wonder why Scarlett johansson had to do lots of squats...
dat ass
MATTY_B squats results to having a nice ass
squats gives you a square ass...unless you eat a lot of carbs afterwards then fat gets stored in the ass and then it's round not square. Look at bodybuilders they have square gluts
@Kuba P yes all! the ones that don't have a square ass have a lot of fat in their gluts, actual shape of gluts is square no matter how many squats you do. Fat is what makes it round. I like the pause and smirk when he says, "Yes, a LOT of wall balls."
20-25lbs of muscles in 6 months. I bet that requires alot of fuckin' broccoli N' chickenbreast! ... Shiiieth
And ofc... that magical plain rice!
+Sami K plain rice isn't magical it's just bullsh't
I bet 20-25lbs of muscles that you are the ONLY ONE who took that seriously...
hahaahha👍
Not Plain rice... Brown Rice. it has more fiber and micro-nutrients.
His job is to give gear to actors, impressive !
lmfao
kids don't know that and he's so smart with his speach for them!
YEAH MANY KIDS IS CONFUSE NOW.
without hard train and a massive diet, gear won't do shit
lol right. not fit in a year, fit in 3 months..takes dudes years to get as big as some of these actors get for roles.
A true sign of wiseness. Simplicity in his training philosophy. Great role model for aspiring fitness professionals.
This guy makes so much sense......... In a word, You'll get out what you put in. A great Video. Thank for the post.
cool dude and he is saying the absolute Truth
I like this guy he's not fuking around
This dude is awesome. Love that truth 👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻
I love how straight forward this guy is towards the end
Absolutely how a trainer and training regime should be-simple, disciplined and focused! Thanks!

This guy is awesome, brilliant video!
"She did ALOT of air squats" lol
it improved her ass presence on camera
jose bejarano i like how he smiled when he said that for a second

"A LOT of wall balls..."-looks down and smiles- "yeah"
@Kuba P who?
think about their workout, think about their diet, think about their... you know, that is it.

Wonderful Video! And so far the best most honest trainer I've heard speak in terms of physical conditioning
Wow, that was actually brutally honest stuff. I'm very impressed.
Kinda wanted to hear how he got the green guy to get so huge and muscular
Martin M i hate you

Martin M CG squats

Sorry grammar Nazis I checked and I don't think I have any mistakes.
There's plenty of grammatical errors in your comment, but the message is clear.
I only found one (then instead of than), could you please fix them for me.
It's funny how in the most obvious sentence in your comment you have three out of three i's not capitalized. Over all is one word - overall. Plus that forgotten space before the parentheses is an eyesore.

great message bro
I want to look like a chicken. Let's do this!
The irony of telling you not to buy shit on bodybuilding.com
It's not irony, that guy just got interviewed. He doesn't work for them.
He's telling you not to buy xyz-Miracle-Elixer-2000 for 200 dollars, he definitely promotes healthy low-fructose protein powder.
Vitamin S is what the guy is talking about
especially 25lbs of muscle in 6 month's??
if you are rich af, dont need to focus on anything except sleep eat train repeat, take bcaa's any other supplement then perhaps ..

Him; Thor put on 20-25 lbs of muscle in 6 months
Greg Doucette; wait a minute 🤔
