    God bless you, Michael, for your continued videos of encouragement. There definitely IS a better life out there! Three years out now and I am two years clean of benzos, one year clean of gabapentin and almost off my last little dose of zopiclone. It's a real shame how so much of the medical community just throws these bandaids around that do nothing but make things worse in the long run - at least for a lot of people. Take heart, everyone - there is light at the end of the tunnel!

    Thanks Michael another really encouraging video. It was 1999 I went on Prozac! The 20 years I took it I was never happy about it, I think I instinctively knew it wasn't good for me, I tried many times to get away from it! glad I finally did 4 years ago, now just the last bit of the benzo to go. Yes freedom and healing for all from the bondage of the pills. God bless to everyone making this courageous journey 💞🕊️

      I can relate, Kelly. Nothing every felt right about being on Paxil for me, but it took me a dozen years to finally say I'm moving in a different direction. Keep at it, you are making great progress, and there is good life out there for you!

      Hi Kelly. How did you know that you could recover? I’m struggling with the last few mg of my ssri taper. Wondering if I will have to be on the drug forever. Any advice? God bless.

      @@pianoprincipessa Hi, at the time I really didn't know anything about withdrawal and in all honesty I didn't feel like I would recover from ADs as my symptoms were so severe (this is how I ended up on a benzo, which I really wouldn't recommend, as they are just as bad to get off). Once I began researching I realized and then I had some coaching with Michael and I'm also part of his support and success group, which has been priceless! I learnt that the symptoms were normal and a part of withdrawal, acceptance is a big part of it and time, my emotions came back, I thought I would never laugh again for a long time, not true. I laugh alot now. Also I have become close to God, my faith is a huge part of healing. One day at a time, moving forward, taking care of yourself and healing will happen. Sorry your struggling, I totally get it, stay positive and know that you will have brighter days again. God bless you and a big hug 💞🙏🕊️

    I remember reading about a rock band who I have been listening to since my early teens, where the leed singer died. I started to experince sadness, but its way better than to be sedated on a drug. I could suddenly feel a bigger range of emotions, i dont try to run from my sadness, but I consider my emotions my "compass" in life. Its way better to experince sadness than having a drug cutting of my emotions. Just to give people hope when there emotions start to return. All the best to you guys.

    • @TheLovelyGrind

      Thanks for sharing, Kristian. Yes, the meds can numb the emotional experience, and compress emotions into a range that is too narrow to be considered truly human. When emotions return, good and bad, that is a very positive thing, as it lets us know we are truly living. Thanks again, and take care!

    Always love hearing you speak in these videos Michael. I got off one medication last month and have been inching off this benzo as well. I try not to let the fear of possible withdrawal symptoms get to me and your videos have been a great source of support for me since finding them last year. Thank you for what you do.

    Please make a video on setbacks.
    I think that my symptoms extremely aggravated with some new horrible one by setbacks. As now I am almost 4 months off Alprazolam, but seems getting worse . The initial one month after coming off was like normal acute phase, but things were improving, but in the second month, I had major setbacks like, inhaling chemicals ( roof cleaning bleach, that was spilled all over our house, paints, and carpet washing etc) due to this, I felt like all my head nerves are swollen and paining with a very heavy feel, my vision and focusing also got distorted ( it was not before). It doesn't seem to be benzo withdrawal to me, or it is possible. Can our neuro receptors get affected by these chemical fumes inhalation?
    I am really scared.
    I am losing hope that I will heal with time. Please help and respond.

    You said you got off the paxil quickly. How quickly did you taper it? From what dosage to zero over how long?

  • @kh3953
    @kh3953 Год назад +1

    Almost 53 months since I've been off the Paxil, over 4 yrs. My life is in shambles. The worry, anxiety, ocd intrusive thoughts and fears. Am I supposed to do another 4 years of this? I can't. They say time is the only thing that truly heals us but what if it's truly harming some of us? I'm losing more than I am gaining. I cannot keep my head above water , the water is rising over my mouth and is so close to going to my nose. I am now doing a *slow* taper off of Zoloft. The stress alone, mental and physical is killing me. The only positive things going in my life (the very few) i feel im slowely losing. I'm sure you hear this alot but I really don't see an end to this.

      Why are you trying to quit? I lasted a year off Zoloft losing my mind, crying in my office every day, couldn’t take care of my kids. (I was like this before Zoloft, minus the kids, so it wasn’t just withdrawal). When i started having suicidal thoughts i realized that i could live with the minor side effects from Zoloft. There’s no rule that says you have to get off them if they work for you. Whatever stage you’re at now i hope you are well ❤

      @@tierneylogan5943psych meds never worked. I've been on every kind on the market, SSRIS, benzos, antipsychoics. I was told I was being over medicated and polydrugged from even a few doctors believe it it not that admitted that. No med has ever worked for me. I'm fighting a chronic illness and need to focus on that. My brain just can't heal anymore and I'm under brutal stress daily a down hill battle. Zoloft never changed anything so why be on it?. I'm very slowely weaning off it still.

    took the medicine when I was a university student in 1992, and I am still taking it after 31 years of work.
    To stop bromazemap (lixomi) gradually, is it necessary to take a vacation from work, knowing that I am a secondary school teacher?

    It's almost 2 months I am pill( xanax )free, but my life is worst than ever before.
    When tapering, I used to walk, but now terribly dizzi, and was able to read, but now couldn't focus, my head is so heavy with pressure, feels like it is squeezed. Thoughts and mental symptoms are disturbing me and frightening.
    I am losing hope, when will my head be cleared?
    Why I am getting worse day by day?

    • @TheLovelyGrind
      @TheLovelyGrind  Год назад +1

      Feeling worse, or different, doesn't mean getting worse. Be patient, and give things more time to heal. Withdrawal symptoms will get better with more time. And as far as the mental symptoms, try to think of them the same as physical - don't identify with them, and remember they pass. They are less scary if you can think of them like a stomach or leg pain. Try to find any way you can to help your body and mind relax right now, that will help (as will time)!
