Video Description: We all experience challenging times in life, that is a given. Whether it is because of financial issues, job loss, interpersonal conflict or loss, health struggles (including those related to prescription medications), or some other anticipated or unforeseen stress, we will all go through dark and difficult times.
The question then is, how can we navigate such times without having them defeat us? How can we not only survive such times but in fact grow because of them?
In this video, I cover a five-point plan for surviving tough times. I encourage you to write down these five points and try to implement some or all of them as you navigate your own challenges.
I do not own any rights to the Video Intro Music: Flowers by Nujabes & Dinah Washington. From Modal Soul (2005) on Hydeout Productions. I do not own any rights to this music. It is available on Iheart Radio, Apple Music, RUclips Music, and more.
To you all that are facing the challenges of withdrawal symptoms I send you BLESSINGS of health, love and prosperity! You are so strong, you all will overcome this ,you will succeed 🙏!!!
Thanks for the positive comments!
🙏🏻 thank you I needed to hear this today❤️🇦🇺 All the best to you too 🙏🏻
Hey, thank you so much for your Video! I am 30 month of Duloxetin and that beast almost killed me. But like you said. Day by day until you are healed:D
Day by day you're moving forward. Feel very proud of what you are doing and remind yourself that the tough parts have made you stronger and wiser. Keep at the progress!
Thanks Michael, really great advice. We have to choose to let the tough times make us stronger. By the Grace of God (my no.1 anchor) I have. I'm almost approaching the 4th year mark of living with psychiatric drug withdrawals, symptoms still there, but big improvements and I do believe in complete healing. A little quote I like is " God gives us dreams a size too big so that we can grow into them". Well wishes and dreams coming true to All. God bless 💞
"Growing into God-given dreams." That's a great picture, Kelly. Stay close to Him always and be very proud of how far you've come and hopeful for the future. You're doing great!
Praying every day I’m a caregiver
I'm almost at 3.6 years off of antidepressants. I was on them 20 years. I ct off them. How long were you on them? Did you taper off them?
@@Phin13760 I was also on them 20 years and I came off them over a few weeks! We will fully heal, it just takes time! Wishing you all the best in your recovery 💞
❤ thank you Michael for a very thoughtful video. I found it to be helpful as usual.
You're so welcome. Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m 8 months off Paxil, and it’s been a tough, but doable. Gardening has kept me anchored during the times I feel completely lost. It brings me back to myself. Thank you for encouraging us to change ourselves.
7 months in and yes the first 3 months were absolutely fuking brutal. Its getting easier now
Way to go on that progress.8 months off is huge. Glad to hear that you have found an anchor in your gardening work. Keep it up and be proud of what you are doing!
I’m 3 months into Effexor withdrawal…my goodness I was on this stuff 25 years! ..gardening helps me but I’m having a lot of depersonalization issues and feel lost…and something to do with light and dark transitions…my garden is way up on top of the mountain at my cabin…but on the way home I live in a valley and it’s like I’m going into a cave…man is this tough to deal with..anyone feel this way?
@@rustymullins6623when it gets tough. Remember this too shall pass. Be patient and the pain will move, nothing stays the same. Regards
We need more people like you who offer real solutions, instead of just focusing on the negative.
Thanks for that comment, I appreciate it!
Thankyou so very much for all your help 🙏🏼 I’m 6 months into weaning off antidepressants… little by little as advised and I am encouraged every day by your posts
So glad you enjoyed the video. Keep at it!
You've been so helpful. I did go up a dose during my taper, but your vidoes are a beacon of hope that I will be okay once I go back on my taper.
That's okay. Stay encouraged and determined, and you will be able to move forward! Glad you enjoyed the videos.
@@TheLovelyGrind I also really appreciate your interaction. You are a very calming voice in a maddening crowd
@@wtbwrites1806 Yes, more rational and calming voices are helpful. Take care today!
Oh snap! Look at you using some Nujabes tunes! Thank you for your help. 3 years off Paxil
Congratulations! I’m a year off Lexapro.
You caught the Nujabes! Glad to hear from a fellow fan. I sometimes go for long runs to his albums, or to DJ Okawari. Great progress on 3 years off, by the way. Keep moving forward!
i am 4.5 months off of diazepam use for 3 years. it is still very rough at times but i have had some windows. do we really truly fully heal? i am losing hope that my brain is permanently injured.
You will heal, you will! God bless you 🙏
Yes. The windows you've had are signs that healing is happening, so try to focus on any and all improvements and positive shifts you see (rather than worrying about how you might feel many months or even years down the line - this just creates anxiety and stress that you then feel) . Bring things back to the present, make a list of improvements and windows you've seen, and just move forward one step at a time with hope. You're getting there!
@@beatrizrosado898 thank you for those kind words. God bless
The tough times are the setbacks. I was improving after coming off 5 weeks ago, but I am badly affected by inhaling acid cleaner ( used for cleaning the house), as strong smell was there in the house, the whole night my head and body was jerking and shaking , I never felt like this before, ( may be it was like a mini seizer) it has been two days, my head has strange sensations and jerks.
Will it go away ? Or it damaged by NS ? Can inhaling these strong smell causes neurotoxicity?
I am so scared.
Pl. Help
How are you feeling now? I am also sensitive to chemical smells
@@Ilmsyou I am still suffering from the acid bleach cleaner setback.
@@Goree5157 Hey I hope your feeling better now. How are you?
Hi I’m almost 2 years out every month at my period I become insane. I pray this ends soon. Did it just leave one day or did it happen gradually? Mine may be really bad because of so much stress. I also ctd all the polly drugging at the same time.
Stress (and for women that "time of the month") always interact with symptoms and make things a little more challenging for a time. Don't get discouraged. Make a list of ways you can reduce stress in your life, ways both large and small, and try to implement those going forward. That helps healing and overall mental/emotional wellness! Keep at it!
Why im not enjoying ciggerates
Like if i quit the cigarettes symptoms appears but if continue im not enjoying
Im off paxil for 13 months went cold turkey
Life here in india is not easy especially if you r overcoming
Nyhow im improving slowly and steadily
Sad part is no one can understand that withdrawal in this part of world
Staying close to God being a Muslim if i miss one prayers it make me more regretful and resulting into total disconnection to God
When was your last wave? Have you taken antibiotics without consequences or throwing you into a wave?
I am 4.5 months off and am really struggling with reassurance that we heal.
It seems like all the people that say they are healed still can have setbacks if they do certain things like drink alcohol, get anesthetic at the dentist, or take antibiotics, for example.
I'll say it again, you'll heal, with time and self-care you'll heal. Just stop focusing on hypothetical negatives in the future, or worrying about every minute detail of other peoples' situations. I enjoy beers when I want and I'm fine. I go through stress and I'm fine. I get viruses like the rest of the world and I'm fine. You'll be fine too. I'm about 10 years off meds, just focus on getting yourself to 1 year. You'll be fine. Take care of yourself and stop torturing yourself with the worry ,or looking for constant reassurance from every worry. Just focus on self-care and moving your own story forward. You're doing good, just stick with it!
@@TheLovelyGrind wow man, thank you so much for taking the time out to respond to me.
@@fittyleben7571 Of course.
Hello! I am 7 months off now. I still have some waves, but I feel much better overall. Yes I had a wave after an antibiotic in months 1 & 3. They were terrible! But i got better in a few weeks. I started to feel way better around 6 months. I hope you can push through because it really does get better. i think will be 95% by 1 year. @@Radhey2223
