- WASSSUUUPPPP!! As I've been saying for a while now, I've really been missing my big voluminous hair. My natural hair as been growing so much lately and although I loved the growth, I missed the volume. I know I won't be in New York anytime soon to finally try out a natural hair salon for a cut and I don't trust anyone here to do it so..... I did it myself.
I think I did pretty good. I still have my length BUT now I have my volume back too!

@@hellow4130 The longest layer can be long, but having even length hair all around, in a non circle or fro shape, doesn't work for most curly types. You end up looking like a triangle. And often to create the initial shape you have to lose some length, you can grow it out from there though.

At least you're trying! My mom is white and there was no RUclips out there to help her lol. That poor woman had me and my sister cleaning out her bank to go to a salon, and on top of that I didn't learn ANYTHING about my hair until this year when I turned 26 and finally started watching videos and learning. If there was anything I could recommend is teach your daughters how to do their own hair! Even just a little at a time

It looks great. Ive never been to the salon since I’ve been natural in 5 years.. I do everything myself, but lately I’ve currently been on the search for someone to shape mine. It is super long. And boring. I think I’m going to try to attempt to shape mine this weekend. Wish me luck!

My hair is like this, wavy and grows twice as long and fast in the top and I'm always cutting the top and trying to let the back and sides grow. This cut is gorgeous!!!👍

I appreciate this video so much! I used to cut my own hair and then I stopped like 3 years ago. But I got pregnant and didn’t get my hair cut or cut it myself and it’s been almost 2 YEARS!! And I’ve been struggling, it’s so long and flat 😒😩 so you’ve given me the courage to go back and cut it myself again! Doing it TONIGHT!! Lol I’m not paying $150 for somebody to do it right now when I know I can do it 🤷🏽♀️

Im having a hard time deciding my bang thickness. Cause i love the overall shape . and i got that. But then when i style it. Theres only like 4 curls that are my "bangs"😂

Try the aunt jackie dont shrink gel, it doesnt actually elongate and it gave me the best curl shape and volume
