Whats up beautiful people. In this video I got my FIRST EVER DIVA CUT on my type 4 hair! For years I would say I would never get one BUT here we are. It was definitely time to get rid of the color/damaged ends. Cant wait to see how this grows out. Check out how my hair got shaped and styled by Charnelle (@thecurlsupplier). THAT'S MY GIRL! She trims and shapes my hair every 4-6 months. She did my first curly cut over a year ago and I've been a wash-&-go girl ever since! She gave me some great tips and showed me that my hair COULD be defined (I was struggling yall). It's so hard to find a good hairstylist, ESPECIALLY when you're natural. So thankful for her 😊

Finally. She's cutting it like you're supposed to cut natural hair. I see too many people straightening it or claiming they have a Devacut when it's not.
Yes a black stylist in Detroit that does Diva cuts! I’m so excited, my daughter was going down river to that Diva salon but now I’m going to have to get her an appointment with this lady!!!
If I was going to get a Deva cut, I would rather have a black stylist do it. Because I looked up the Deva stylist in the Detroit area but it looked like they only catered to caucasian hair. I didn't see any black customers in their photo galleries.
I do wash & go’s year round, they’re super quick and easy! The key is to invest in a hooded dryer so you can set your curls in place and don’t have to walk around with wet hair!
I looks amazing. I guess you guys had a conversation beforehand but I kinda felt like she was pushing the wash n go. And I felt a way a little because she's 3c/4a looking and its nice, but it ain't for everybody. With my 4C medium twa I'm not washing and going nowhere. Super tight kink pattern plus shrinkage I would end up looking like somebody's little son that spent the whole day at the pool....
We all have a preference she is just about that wash n go life. But the good thing is that she knew before hand that I mainly do twist out/rod sets .....im about that wash n go life just during the summer lol😆

Naturally Kiki I recently went to a curly girl salon in South Miami called The Curl Whisperer. My stylist cut my hair in its dry natural state and my hair came out amazing.
Naturally Kiki there are a few good curly hair stylists in South Florida that have cut my hair when I was a loose natural. I went to a lady in plantation and her name is Akeiri. If you go on Instagram her name is curls_by_kiki. She does some amazing deva cuts.

It's like that in my town too. It's either all white salons or beauty salons still doing relaxers. So I'm kind of nervous to go in somewhere. My friend just got heat damage after one visit somewhere

😻 Beautiful results!! She did that! And I LOVED watching her finger comb your hair. I don’t have “snap back” curls so in the rare instance I do a wash n go, zero tools and solely fingers is a MUST if I want to see my curls/kinks pop.

That's my thing about them cutting, you wonder why cut so much. But in the end you know it's necessary, so you do end up with that bomb shape. Your hair is really gorgeous, she did a great job! #Curlspopping 😍

The double cutting is someone that is about their job!!..dey hair cutting doesn't give you all the accuracy so when they shampoo and condition your hair it sits in a natural curl pattern state and you can refine the cut! ....we leave our cuts too long and leave ourselves open to breakage which only a professional can pick up!!

The cut was everything! I cannot do wash and goes in a Chicago winter! Nope! I do mine in the shower on soaking wet hair to get the best definition and I can't do that when it's freezing. But when the weather warms up...baby it's on!
