Trooping the Colour & flypast 2023 in full: King Charles celebrates first birthday parade

- The King was treated to an extended military flypast following Trooping the Colour after his Coronation day display was scaled down due to bad weather.
Around 70 aircraft from the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force, some of which date back to the Battle of Britain memorial flight, took part in His Majesty’s first official birthday celebrations.
The King, Queen and other members of the Royal family watched from the Buckingham Palace balcony as the aircraft flew over The Mall in a six-minute display.
In one memorable moment, 18 Typhoons formed the shape of a “CR” - standing for “Charles Rex” - which drew applause from the family members on the balcony.
The aircraft took off from 15 locations across the UK before meeting in the south-east of England to fly over the Palace.

While the King occupies the highest office of State, noone else can. While he is head of the law, no politician can take over the courts. While he is head of the state, no generals can take over the government. While he is head of the services, no would be dictator can turn the army against the people. The strength of the monarchy does not lie in the power it gives the Sovereign but in the power it denies to anyone else. They still have their place in this day and age and their family history is fascinating.

A very enlightening way of explaining the importance of the British Monarchy.
Who stops them doing whatever they please then bootlicker?
Hmm shame he's a brainwashed puppet of the WEF. We need someone who is stalwart and has backbone like HRH Princess Anne

Catherine and Sophie looked beautiful. Glad to see the King came out unscathed from riding a horse at 74. I always call Princess Anne "Easy Rider" she looks so comfortable in the saddle. The King's horse lived up to its name "Noble" by birth and nature. Enjoyed the whole thing. For me one of the highlights was seeing the Welsh Guards marching to the tune "Men of Harlech".
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth rode well into her 90's and would probably have ridden on if not for the dreadful in and illness. I can imagine the King might well carry on riding horseback for a while yet. I wish one of the Royal Ladies would ride side-saddle as Her Majesty did for so many years. It was so graceful.
@@mayajrj Only Queen Camilla is a horse rider but Princess Catherine and the Duchess of Edinburgh are not. Maybe it’s time for the young Princesses George and Charlotte to start training now.
@@El_.5794 I think that George and Charlotte are already riding, But Catherine has an allergy to horses and one of the problems is anaphylaxis. She's currently working with a therapy that will allow her t build up an immunity to the problem but it will be a slow process.

Ohio USA Saying hello! I'm not taking anything away from our military to drill, I have watched some documentaries on what it takes to be apart of this Guard. It precision is impeccable. The pageantry is so unique one of a kind. The fact that this has taken place for many many years is AMAZING! I'd have to guess on how long so I won't, but a long time lol. I'm not into the royal family not much at all, but Troopping the Guard is truly a sight to see. It's on my bucket list for sure.

Out of interest, how do Americans feel about having Meghan and Harry living over there? I liked Meghan sooo much in the early months, but then, bit by bit, her constant whining, pious lecturing, love of the limelight and demanding ways got on my nerves. How is it going for Americans?
Did anyone notice that Prince Louis was still saluting while the others were leaving the balcony? Once again he did not disappoint🤣🤣❣❣🤣🤣❣❣
Long live the King and the Royal Family.
Beautiful display .Princess of Wales looked stunning

I enjoyed the Trooping of the Colours immensely and wish the King a happy birthday. But I have a lump in my throat because I do miss Queen Elizabeth very much. Also, it would be nice to know the list of the music that was played, if possible. I wish the Royal Family all the best as they carry out their service to their country.

@@tamautriainen they mean theyre sending blessings from romania
Who organized the camera coverage? Interesting manoeuvres and the cameras remained focused on Camilla adjusting her hair or dumbly focusing on a stand.
Romania WAS a kingdom and Charles just returned from a vacation there. His cousin I believe her name is Elizabeth, and him are very close and yes she is a member of the Romanian royal family who do still exist even if they are not currently monarchs of Romania. These Royal families still exist even if they aren’t ruling, believe it or not!
What a wonderful tradition! Beautiful ❤

I have so much respect for this man, he has always been their for the Queen especially after Phillip died, into his 90’s and having had strokes he is a true member of the Royal family.❤
@@patriciamueller2498 He's actually not 90 yet. Still 2 years to go!
I was wondering why his sister not with him.
TheDuke ofKentisa wonderful man.I can never think of him as old, as he tackles every duty thrown at him. He was wonderful to our late Queen Elizabeth. A True Gentleman
He is, and still going strong. I always feel for him, as he can hardly walk, but makes as many duties as MM & PH did, at his age. GOD bless him.
I miss Queen Elizabeth.
I think we all do but I respect the King and wish him well. It’s always sad that we lose a monarch to gain a monarch. And poor Charles losing his mother, to then become King. I am sure he misses her terribly at these events. He comports himself splendidly of course, but I’m sure it’s hard for all of us Royal fans to remember the only monarch we really knew, I am early 40’s and only knew Queen Elizabeth for my whole life so it is hard to accustom myself to a new King but nevertheless I wish him a king and happy, healthy reign!
I miss her too.
The princess of Wales never dissappoints. The color green is associated with freshness, growth and hope. It also symbolises rebirth . renewal and immortality. (perhaps of the monarchy?) She looked stunning and naturaly exudes all the above as her individual self herself and the monarchy. She will be a lovely queen
Catherine's outfit was representative of the Irish Guards of which she is Colonel and participated in the parade today. Similarly, Camilla's was of her regiment, the Grenadier Guards. Anne and the 'boys' all wore uniforms tipped to their regiments.
@@honestea1828 Ditto. In a close look it's more obvious. Catharine wore a shamlock brooch made with metal.
Given how thin she is, and with that hat, if she stands still, she could be taken for a Standard Lamp.
It is also the colour of the corps she has been appointed as Colonel of. Camilla wore the colour of the corps she is also a Colonel of.
It's also the colour people's faces turn when they're hung over moments before vomiting
I am so happy to see the RF carrying out Traditional Ceremonies so beautifully. The Baton has been passed to King Charles and he is upholding the British pomp and grace beautifully. All done without a word of the dastardly duo, perfect.
Let's not even mention the two from across the pond. Today is King Charles III's day. Let's celebrate him! He is well deserving!

@@1IbramGaunt we're a lot. But respect is also a two way road. Many consider us as not worthy of respect. I'm sure it's because they don't know the warmth, solidarity and other values we have. I felt bad for the Duke of Kent, standing there all alone. Poor guy.
The Gloucesters were with him just out of frame. At one point it looked like they were invited closer but he chose to stay aside and put the focus on the 'younguns.' That's always been his unassuming style.

Why is Trooping the Colour called Trooping the Colour?
It was important that these flags were clear and bright because they acted as a rallying point in battle. But in order for soldiers - or troops - to recognize these "colours," they had to be displayed regularly before battle. This process became known as "trooping," hence the name of the ceremony.
Apparently, it is officially called Trooping of the Colour.
I enjoyed watching the kings birthday parade especially when he was on horseback with his Son William and his brother and sister, shocking coverage though 😮the video kept going out of focus! Also showing insignificant footage!!! Need to get their act together before covering such a memorable event again!!

I always love watching this from America. It is such a beautiful traditions and wished we had this here. Keep the traditions alive.
It's always been called TROOPING OF THE COLOUR, not trooping the color. Fond memories seeing the Queen on horseback these many years.
In the USA COLOR IS HOW it’s spelt !! They don’t use the U
@@Dogsgrove Janice I think is referring not so much to the spelling of COLOR vs COLOUR, bu more to the use of the preposition OF: Trooping OF the colour or simply Trooping the colour. I see this has been a discussion point on other channels.
