Notice at 0:37 - Prince Louis, who is only 5 years old here, singing the words of the national anthem, without needing to read them off the booklet. He is only 5, but knows the national anthem off by heart, he even knows the largely unknown second part to it. Well done Prince Louis.

All of the other monarchies have seriously downsized and simplified the ceremony so that in their countries it resembles the oath taking of a president or prime minister.. In the land of tradition, the UK carries on, but for how long? We know the UK Left had agita about all this, and wants it gone, replaced with the Scandinavian simplicity. I have to disagree. The original 1937 crown without the 1953 alterations would have been the same height as St Edward's Crown which looked too big on the late Queen's head but had the right proportions for her son's.
To me, the crown looks squat, not least because, unlike in 1953, there was another crown (Queen Mary's crown) against which to compare it.
The original 1937 crown was a near (or exact?) replica of the one made for another female monarch, Queen Victoria, so it was a bit of an act of vandalism in 1953 to reduce it in height without thought for the future.
I think they should have made the arches removable (as with Queen Mary's and Queen Elizabeth's 1937 crown) and have created two sets of interchangeable arches (the old size and the current size) to avoid having to make repeated alterations to such a precious artifact.

No elected Head of State could ever encompass the absolutely unique and jaw dropping majesty of the of the Crown. As one who's not Brittish but has the privilege of living under a constitutional Monarchy (The Kingdom of the Netherlands) I understand the value of something that trandcents politics, that embodies the very fabric of society and serves as a link to the past and a bridge towards the future.
We are the special ones, for having reached the current age with such a precious and (in this era) unique institution still in tact. Cherrish it. It sets us appart from a world filled with the mundanity of common republics. Embrace our past, so we could remain our selfs in the future! #GodSaveTheKing!
    Additional Edit:
A non partisan head of State is a blessing for any democratic society.
Especially when it is non elective in nature and derives it's place in society from historical and cultural ties to the nation it serves.
A politician is partisan by nature. It cannot be a unifying figure to all of society, by design.
There for a constitutional monarchy, with the popular support of the people , is infinitely more beneficial to it's society then any elected head of State could ever be.
It has nothing to do with the road to true sovereignty of a people, but everything to do with the long term health of a democratic society.

I mistakenly said Queen during mine and Woody.EXE’s own coronation last July and the way he looked at me whilst carrying the Septre and the orb cross left me speechless like how the hell could he carry all that and I did whilst singing and walking. It happened 4 months after my illness and all our fans in Wales noticed I did it perfectly no matter how ill I was, I still did it. I was originally not going to attend our coronation because of my illness 4 months prior but Woody.EXE convinced me too or he’d be absolutely devastated not to see his surviving Queen by his side so i pushed my mental health to the limits on my 21st birthday. It was the best birthday ever and I’m so glad i went through those painful 4 hours. When I turn 22, it will also mark the first Anniversary of the coronation so it will be a huge celebration for us 2. My 22nd birthday and my sister who also turns 22 the same day services will be held In Wales’s largest Abbey where the coronation ceremony was held a year ago nearly now, our 22nd birthdays are being held there. I can’t believe this my 2nd birthday as Queen in 2024

Pardon me for expressing this, but it seemed as if Great Britain seemed to be the only European Nation that had retained a Coronation ceremony. Spain and the Netherlands nowadays seemed not to observe a Coronation Ceremony, for it seemed that the Spanish and the Dutch monarchs are invested, not crowned (forgive me if I got it wrong).

You‘re right. Spain doesn‘t have coronations since the 15th century. The Netherlands and Belgium never had coronations as their monarchies are just about 200 years old. Denmark, Sweden and Norway did have coronations till the end of the 19th/beginning of the 20th century. So most of the other European kingdoms also have regalia - in my opinion it‘s a pitty that they don’t use them.
I don’t know if the Grandduchy of Luxemburg, the Principality of Monaco and the Principality of Liechtenstein have some regalia (I think Liechtenstein has a copy of it‘s original „duke hat“).

The Ceremony lacked THE stateliness that was the hallmark of the last coronation in 1953. And the dress code was clearly a factor. Whilst overall the Ceremony was impressive, the fact that the Lord President of the Privy Council tasked with carrying the sword of state in a dress was utterly ridiculous. She could have a least followed the example of The Princess Royal and wore a suitable uniform. Looking at the same proccesion from 1953 compared to 2023 one can feel from a more traditional perspective slightly aghast. If you are going to go all out with the crown jewels regalia surely proper attire would have been a given for a coronation of such historic significance. God Save The KING - From a loyal Canadian Subject.
