I spent 5 hrs watching this beautifully historic coronation.
I’m from 🇨🇦 and I went in person! The best 16 hours on Whitehall, then The Mall (albeit the rain during the Abbey ceremony) I’ve ever had!
I watched it from Norway. Had an early start and made a big salade amongst other things. I didn't wanna miss a second of this ceremony....
It was a moment the Commonwealth can be proud of, gave me goosebumps, and tears of joy and longing for my Motherland, though I still reside in the Commonwealth. Love from West Australia 🇦🇺🇬🇧
The most spine tingling moment for me was when saw our future Queen, Princess Catherine and Sir Bryn Terfel sing Arglwydd, trugarhâ (Lord, Have Mercy). Moved me to tears.

A continuous line of history, heritage and culture of our people lasting over a thousand years.. As a kiwi it blows my mind that while the Māori were being blown around the Pacific looking for land my ancestors were building the amazing cathedral this took place in!

They made basic cutlery....yet native Indians roamed the plains of America never advancing in any technology just as Maori who were not one particular nation but came from many Pacific island nations but in NZ collectively called Maori. Their customs and basic ways continued until Britain began to send settlers there instead of Aussie, and brought things like wheels, cabin houses and other signs of Western modernity of its day. The Incas and Aztecs were as culturally advanced almost as the Egyptians..almost and who knows how they might have progressed had the Spanish not plundered their gold, killed the King's, priests etc and driven the survivors away to survive for a short time only....Britain benefited from Roman and Norman technology and culture and after initial resistance did come to accept new ways and become more innovative..one person invents and later on it gets improved and adapted like cars and computers etc. for Incas and Aztecs their skills and buildings became their downfall when greedy Spain rocked by. Maori are not indigenous to NZ as they paddled there from all over the Pacific not they were the earliest settlers. and I understand only the Aborigines of Australia are an indigenous peoples who also did not develop like Incas etc until again Britains arrived with a few French thrown into the mix, although there was not the same feeling shown towards the existing peoples as was shown to the Maori tribes. Thank goodness Maori display great flair and innovation in modern times and become almost modern day Incas.

The torture, and Mutilation of people in the colonies can never be forgotten, or forgiven. She must be remembered in the light of her greedy, selfish actions and not some romanticized, redundant title. May those who perished because of her family's greed find peace. May humanity be spared from such characters in future. Americans are such hypocrites than on one hand they claim to fight slavery and racism and on the other hand they celebrate fake icons like this.
It felt like a Disney movie scene in real life down to all the costumes music all the random people dressed all sorts of ways walking down the aisle. As a child I bet it feels so magical!

Being an American, I find all the ceremony around this somewhat interesting. However, I may not live to see another crowning of the king of England so I am glad I was able to see this at least once in my lifetime. It’s all very beautiful with the pageantry of it all.

I watch the Queen's Coronation live on a tiny black and white television in England 🇬🇧 in 1953 and now I watched my second Coronation in New Zealand 🇳🇿. I wonder whether I will live long enough to watch a third Coronation ❤
