Wow, the love for Prince William the second the people saw him walk on stage. Charlotte was so proud of her dad and so happy. There are behaviors of King Charles I do not like. I see a perfectionist in him and that to me is not a good sign. It is their way or the highway. He has no tolerance for others to make mistakes. It’s not like Catherine hasn’t curtsy to Camilla before. She’s more then happy to do so as seen at the Christmas Carol Service 2022. She also curtsy to her at the Coronation Concert.

That was my only thought, also - that those who succeed her will do her proud, and LET her rest peacefully. I never thought that I would EVER accept Camilla as Queen, but it was QEII's wish that she become Queen, and I respect her and her wishes. It took me many years, as it did Her Majesty the Late Queen, to recognise the work that Camilla has done for the Monarchy, most significantly, as Charles' rock, just as QEII described her beloved Phillip. But she HAS worked tirelessly, and she does do a fab job. The Queen recognised this also, and that was what swayed my opinion - and believe me when I say that in the past I have said some dreadful (but true) things about her! So ... if I can be swayed to change my mind about Camilla - then surely others can see that she does have the qualities that CHARLES needs in order to be a good King. I don't think he could have ascended the Throne without her by his side, hence his decision to make her his Queen in the full official capacity. I can live with that, but as a subject, my allegiance will always be to the King.

I am not a Royalist and have no thoughts on either of these ladies. However may I venture to say that the Middletons are an upper working/middle class family whose daughter married 'well' and the Parker Bowles are an upper middle class family whose Mother married 'well'. Since one is now Queen and one a Princess surely any person of reasonable intelligence could work out which is the more senior Royal and therefore would have the right to have more of her family present. The Middletons are not the senior in-laws whatever they may believe.
They're only a family of 5 anyway..

If this was true, I wouldn't blame Catherine one bit. It was so surreal watching Camilla be crowned, then her fixing her hair when the archbishop was saying prayers over her, and then sitting there with that smug Grinch-like smile on the throne. My god. I think she was high as a kite on pain killers and anti anxiety meds to get through the day. She didn't act like a normal functioning person at all. I think that by the time the actual day arrived, all they wanted to do is just get through it. So sad. It should be sort of like a second wedding, to the country and the people of it. It should be one of the most beautiful days of your life if you are lucky enough to have a coronation. Instead, it's like a death sentence. Even when you are liked, as the beloved late queen was, she was so alone up there going through all the motions.
Kate will have her day to invite all her family, and her parents and siblings will have their places of honor, finally, as well. I think LOTS will change.
I'm disinclined to believe it. Camilla was being crowned, not Catherine. Catherine's turn will come and she can invite all her family when that happens. Camilla and Charles were intimate while Princess Diana was still alive! I always wondered about her. Being an American, I have little understanding of the British Monarchy (having grown up here in the 'colonies' LOL) That said: I still respected the late Queen Elizabeth. And felt that Princess Diana endured some real heartache, albeit with the gloss and shimmer of marrying into royalty. Camilla however, still utterly baffles me...

It was very unfortunate for everybody, and particularly for 2 people who have affinities with each other and have to marry somebody they have nothing in common with like Charles and Diana. I don't get this - Camilla, along with Charles was being crowned, so she was co-host at their joint occasion; so it's unsurprising that she gets to invite more people than kate, who had a supporting role. From what I read, Kate and other female members of the family only need to carry out the act (curtsy) the first time they see Camilla in the day. It is suggested that perhaps Kate and others had already seen Camilla before the coronation so did not need to bow again.

I am still baffled at how or why they allowed Camilla to become Queen. For that matter I am shocked they allowed Charles to become King after his affairs. So I guess rules and protocols no longer matter in the British royalty. England took a huge step back in my opinion. I thought that part of the speech was especially sweet. And then he called Charles "Pa" saying that everyone is proud of him. How wonderful. The most moving moment in the coronation ceremony was when William kneeled in front of his father and swore his fealty, touched the crown, and then kissed his father on the cheek. I was moved to tears!

I'm sick of hearing about the monarchy. There are people out there struggling to live for all sorts of reasons. Let's highlight that news.
I don’t believe that Princess Catherine and Prince William would do this.
This is rubbish. It was the Queen's day (and the King's, obviously) so of course she had more family members there than the Middletons and Catherine is true and loyal to the Crown, so she would absolutely have followed protocol as and when it was required.
But don't you think that Pippa and James husband and wife should have been allowed to attended in the Middleton family ? I think it was petty not to invide them.
