► The Queen held a state banquet at Buckingham Palace for US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. The meal, held in the ballroom, hosted 170 guests including the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Duke of York and The Earl and Countess of Wessex. The Queen said: "Tonight we celebrate an alliance that has helped to ensure the safety and prosperity of both our peoples for decades, and which I believe will endure for many years to come.
"Mr President, as we look to the future, I am confident that our common values and shared interests will continue to unite us."

Definately and I miss her dearly and her funeral was only last monday today it's now Thursday 22nd September 2022. We will mourn and grieve her loss I think longer than the weeks mourning we've had here. I personally think we still are here in the uk I know I am feeling her massive loss. I feel very different and uncertain as a person whose always had the Queen in my life she reassured us in our most troubled times she lifted our spirits and we are so thankful and filled to the brim of each of pur hearts with gratitude and love and so we are in uncertain waters now with her no longer here. Our New King understandably is grieving his mother but I feel he's not got the strength to be our King I an not sure. Yet Prince William I do think would carry us in to a new day with his strength because he's amazing.

To be American is at times as if one were lost in space with only yourself to think about and with no one to admire. Freedom means no one cares what you do and no one to hold you accountable. Families cant endure and babies are unwanted. Children don't even know their own fathers let alone what they are as an American. So reaching back in history to see it being lived out today is something that touches the heart. Maybe that is why.

What an absolutely beautiful video of this banquet. Especially since the big event on Nov 5,2024. What a gracious and great Queen never to be forgotten.
The pictures before the video begins are just priceless!!! The great one of The Queens, and President have a laugh during dinner, not to forget some of the others, of them looking at the artifacts, and many others.
Trump had such affection and respect for our dear late Queen. This was lovely to see and hear their speeches.
Glad found this video and have strong English Heritage in my family line.
Wasn’t certain but had to check to verify, but I believe this was the last state banquet and visit the Queen hosted. What an honor it was the US she graced her last chance to do this with, understandable certain circumstances prevented other planned events because of the pandemic. I sincerely hope she enjoyed it, it looked like a beautiful event.
The pandemic prevented her from having to indulge Biden.
Japan and other countries were invited who she equally or I should say has enjoyed hosting more in the past. Covid stopped all state visits. our Queen followed pandemic protocol to the letter even for The Duke of Edinburgh's funeral. We have insight of what she truly thought of Trump. 🇬🇧

Got to give it to President Trump, that was a lovely tribute to Her Majesty & Britain, I dont doubt his own British mother, Mary, was at the back of his mind.
We barely know it yet but the Western World will quietly miss Her Majesty as a link to the past. At 27 I find it very moving to hear her speak here of 1944, a year in which she was alive and well and no doubt remembered clearly. Those icons of history like Eisenhower and Kennedy, were just people to her Majesty, who she met and knew. I find it moving and strange to consider.
