I rose at 3:30 AM Central Standard Time in the American Midwest to watch the entire Coronation of Charles III Live...just as I stayed up through the night to watch Charles wed Diana back in 1981. But throughout the entirety of the 4 hour or more Coronation event, THIS was by far the most stirring, the most emotional, and the most impressive part. Watching these thousands of Men and Women representing the British and Commonwealth armed forces from around the World congratulate their King and cheer for him was outstanding. Simply outstanding! Apart from the fact much of the traditional coronation event had its strict rules and procedures to follow keeping it ancient and religous. THIS however, was purely human and full of emotion. I just loved this part of the ceremony more than any other part of King Charles wonderful day. And I would imagine THIS was the part he loved most too. I just wish we could have caught a glimpse of Seamus The Irish Wolfhound at attention with the Irish Guards barking out "Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! (woof, woof)".

The camera cut away from the Kings guard at 3.07 as they actioned their salute. Dear BBC, when the royal guard give a royal salute it is worth showing on screen as they are the group of soldiers that give the royal salute. I hope that moment was captured for the guard, I imagine it was import to them.

The look on the King's face when the 3 Cheers were given is of total satisfaction and wonder -- as indeed it should be. The officer stepped forward to get the King to leave too soon I thought - and the arrangements should have included some gesture of recognition from the King of what he had just been given - just a wave would have done.

The TV channels did a lousy job of showing extended parts of the procession to and from the abbey. They really missed the mark , I think they don't understand how much the public enjoys the marching and music and the horses. I want to see it all. They do entirely too much irrelevant chatting for my liking.

@@dgibson2314 exactly. I was quite annoyed on how much they just kept showing the carriages. Yes I know he’s been crowned but the troops deserved more airtime given they’ve been practising for weeks and were up since 3am for this.

I'm so proud We have this, We should never let it go. No matter how You feel about Our new King, the Monarchy is much larger than any one man. This level of organisational exellence is such a rare thing in todays time, and has taken Us a thousand years to build. If We lose this level of glory, We may never know its like again in this world.
I'm extremely proud of My nation and My home 🇬🇧

Yes, I'm worried that the next generation or two are going to come along and try to tear down a 1000 year old tradition, out of some misplaced sense of justice. He have a 1000 year unbroken continuity of ritual and tradition- something extremely precious and rare. Its the real deal, Not an re-enactment. I don't see how destroying that will improve anyone's lives. We would wake up the next day with exactly the same problems, but missing a big part of our heritage.

Such a shame the programme producers decided to cut away from the ranks as they gave the royal salute. Instead of seeing the a wide shot of the entire gathered armed forces giving the salute we get a narrow angle shot of Royal Marines, which missed the salute. Fortunately the same mistake wasn't repeated for the three cheers, which was an incredible and spine-tingling roar.

So fantastic! I love the precision: you can tell that this took months of practice and good discipline, both in the countries afar and then once there. I’ve played in a brass band (horn) and my closest moment was playing with a Canadian legion pipe band: even that much smaller scale opportunity was unforgettable. It just makes you feel…bigger than just yourself? I don’t know how to explain it; can tell, too, that those boys were awestruck too.
