Can we talk about these SOLOISTS?? Both of all the orchestra and choir solos were wonderful. Also the vocalist who sang as Moses had such a right voice?? Love.
I'm still enjoying this months later. We (the audience) were so impressed, we didn't want to break the silence when the performance was over. Great, great job Jonathan and everyone!
The Prince of Egypt is one of the best movie soundtracks ever in my opinion and not easy to replicate which this performance did a fantastic job with. Would have loved to have been there in person.
This orchestra nailed the tempo of "Deliver us". Other orchestras I've seen on youtube played it way too fast, like original speed plus 0.25 .... it felt like the slaves are hurrying up to build the pyramids instead of going slow, heavy and sad like in the original tempo 😂
LOVE this rendition!! Everyone did a great job! But man, The man who sang as Moses sounds JUST like the actual voice actor in the film!!! Great job guys!
@ james G actually the bible , at least , the moses story and stuff , all the ancient testament is a common area of the 3 monotheistic religions isn't it
Littlemike Colbert imagine if dreamworks did a one for the crusades *CONTROVERSY INTENSIFIES* I mean if they did I would expect a lot of controversy on the film but the one I would love actually, but for some to appreciate at least.
this is just amazing! i get emotional every time i hear these songs. These songs remind me of the plight of the people who are suffering around the world, desperate to find someone who can deliver them... their leaders asking to let their people go, while the world plays deaf.
This has to be one of my favorite choir/band combo performances that have performed a The Price of Egypt song. I. Just. LOVE how it goes from Deliver Us to The Plagues? And the contrast from the sweet melodies in the middle to the abrupt destruction after? GENIUS! I'm going to have to bring the soundtrack up to my choir/band directors if not show them this combination of the songs! Astonishing!
In the movie, there's a fantastic woodwinds part heard during the "Locust" section at 5:36, reminiscent of Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee - unfortunate that it wasn't included here, but lovely work overall.
I just have to elaborate. I can’t stop repeating the part where it transitions from the Burning Bush to the Plagues. It’s shows that God is beautiful, merciful, and mysterious… but also the all-powerful God that dishes out just judgement when necessary. Amazing!
I still love coming back to this every now and then. It's one of my alltime favorite movies, even if I don't believe in religion myself. Maybe I've seen the movie to many times, but I could see the scenes as the music went on 👌💯
When that flute starts playing, and then the harp and the choir that's a beautiful music part, but the choir sounds very good after, that's a hard piece to perform.
Why did I find this 5 years after this was posted. Man I am so late =D Woooow this sounds just like the movie!!! (If it is the movie's choir =T they r just amazing!)
Brava Brava!! Not an easy song to sing, I was in choir for three years and know its hard to hit those notes, but you did it very well! Those "brothers" were spot on and the whole performance was beautifully done! Hats off to your teacher for doing the job well done!
This is bone chilling good! The prince of Egypt soundtrack is just amazing! There is not one bad song on that album. Every rendition of Deliver us has been top tier impressive!
How depressing that it’s so hard to make movies about religious stories nowadays - either you offend people who don’t believe in the specific faith, or you offend the zealots who don’t 100% agree with the interpretation
Prince of Egypt is by far one of the greatest religious movie I’ve ever seen. It shows a great story from a bible rather than just “believe in god” type movie (i’m looking at you “god’s not dead”.)
I feel like us non-Christians only really get “offended” at religious content when it portrays us as bad people and is just blatant propaganda that treats Christian faith like an end all be all. Most of us don’t have any problem with, and even greatly appreciate holy and faith-based art. It’s really not even a “nowadays” thing either, religious stories have always been a point of contention in human history
Man, makes me go right now, bless the Lord our God, king of all, forever and ever Amen. Come all people to him and celebrate and be with the Lord, away from the world. Rejoice and be glad in it Amen! 🙏
The guy who sang Moses' part sounds exactly like him! This is very impressive.
Plot twist: it is him
I THOUGHT HE SANG RAMSES' PART.
OH MY GOD IT DOES!😭❤️
It sounds like Val Kilmer
yeah he sounds great but he doesn't really sound like Moses
This is insanely good. The tone the choir hit for “The Plagues” was phenomenal. Chills.
Exactly - this part is absolutely ON POINT!
Can we talk about these SOLOISTS?? Both of all the orchestra and choir solos were wonderful. Also the vocalist who sang as Moses had such a right voice?? Love.
as someone who has little faith in god, the movie itself actually raises my fear of God, tells me what kind of power he possesses.
Fear of God is the beginning of knowledge. It’s a good thing to fear God
@Savage Wooloo yep...IMAGINATIONNN
Depends which version of him you believe in, if I'm being honest.
@@Skyruss24 I think I just found Onision.
God is waiting for you with open arms ❤️🫶
I'm still enjoying this months later. We (the audience) were so impressed, we didn't want to break the silence when the performance was over. Great, great job Jonathan and everyone!
We're was this at?
Wow the audience's awe was palpable. That would have been amazing to see live
The Prince of Egypt is one of the best movie soundtracks ever in my opinion and not easy to replicate which this performance did a fantastic job with. Would have loved to have been there in person.
Holy crap that was good. The solo vocalists were especially awesome.
I absolutely agree
I love the Plague of Egypt song! So epic!
It's so badass!
Fr! I want my choir to do it so bad!!
THUS SAITH THE LORD
4:34 My favorite part
Alex Gaming Same
Thx
And now it's happening in 2020!
XD
Zurc Naix-Kun Frrrr🤣🤣🤣

Dwl tempo is so important
LOVE this rendition!! Everyone did a great job! But man, The man who sang as Moses sounds JUST like the actual voice actor in the film!!! Great job guys!
Ash Chan Moses doesn’t sing in this song??
Moses sings the first "verse" then Ramses, then they switch on and off.
Wow. These performers sang with so much passion I actually cried. This is amazing.
Thank you so much! Everyone really enjoyed performing this piece. :)
THIS IS SO SICK! I would pay to see a live performance of Plagues
I love the FORTE “I SEND A PESTILENCE AND PLAGUE”!!!
why did they have to stop DreamWorks bible story's they were so good just like this one
Littlemike Colbert Prince of dreams
Because doing stories about one religion and none other is a MICROAGRESSION!
@ james G actually the bible , at least , the moses story and stuff , all the ancient testament is a common area of the 3 monotheistic religions isn't it
yep, Dreamworks did old testament stories. Judiasm, Christianity, and certain Muslim denominations would appreciate stories like these
Littlemike Colbert imagine if dreamworks did a one for the crusades
*CONTROVERSY INTENSIFIES* I mean if they did I would expect a lot of controversy on the film but the one I would love actually, but for some to appreciate at least.

dude the guy that sang for moses sounds so much like him.
This is flipping class. Unreal performance.
4:37 I had the same reaction to this part as the girl in the striped shirt in the right hand corner of the audience.
AHHH THE RAMSES WAS SO GOOD
The Plagues was the best! wish there were more covers out there.
I wonder why they didn't give the girl the whole Yocheved solo instead of just the 'deliver us' line?

The transition though ✨💁🏾♀️

There is something magnificent and powerful about an orchestra and choir performance like this. Gave me chills, so well done thanks!
I got chills at 3:15, excellent arrangement and performance!
This was a breathtaking performance! Thank you for staying true to the original movie score. I am in awe!
Thank you so much! :)
Spectacular! I especially loved the Plagues performance. Great job

2021 and still sounds amazing
Thanks! :D
if you look for the plagues song it starts here 4:17
When that flute starts playing, and then the harp and the choir that's a beautiful music part, but the choir sounds very good after, that's a hard piece to perform.
trumpet was a little too fast but other than that really good
AMAZING!!!
Wow, wow, wow! I'm blown away by the sheer talents and gifts God has given all of you! I'm speechless. 👏👏👏
Why did I find this 5 years after this was posted. Man I am so late =D
Woooow this sounds just like the movie!!!
(If it is the movie's choir =T they r just amazing!)
Thank you so much!
The whole soundtrack is just perfection. Dreamworks needs to make more films like this.
4:20 haha nice this is the "Thus saith the Lord"
this is phenomenal like i’m truly floored by this performance
5:36 chills
Very beautiful! Listening every day.
This is a wonderful arrangement. I'd like to hear a larger orchestra perform it
This was pretty epic! The first part of the beginning was kinda off but the rest was wonderful. 👏💜
Brava Brava!! Not an easy song to sing, I was in choir for three years and know its hard to hit those notes, but you did it very well! Those "brothers" were spot on and the whole performance was beautifully done! Hats off to your teacher for doing the job well done!
respect for the trumpet in the beginning, solo and also no false notes. GJ!
Gotta love that movie’s music.
Loved it sounds exactly like the movie
That was epic. No other word describes it.
they sound the exactly the same
WOW!! I’m now just discovering this
So epic, this is me when I start something new like a journey

This was very, very impressive.

The burning bush
Excuse me, butAre able of sending me the whole score for the orchestra and the choir?? I would really love to perform this in my school aswell :"">
I never really like religion that much and less so lessons but holy crap this movie was so good
this is brilliant
How depressing that it’s so hard to make movies about religious stories nowadays - either you offend people who don’t believe in the specific faith, or you offend the zealots who don’t 100% agree with the interpretation
It is, and you have to think of it, people paid to watch it and therefore chose to watch it. It isn’t being forced onto anyone.
Prince of Egypt is by far one of the greatest religious movie I’ve ever seen. It shows a great story from a bible rather than just “believe in god” type movie (i’m looking at you “god’s not dead”.)

@@xhappyponyxwasmyoldname1395 exactly, as an athiest myself, I really enjoyed this movie.
The makers of POE met with a lot of religious leaders and took counsel from them. Thats one of the things that makes this movie so remarkable.
I thought the song was gonna sound more like the last airbender for a second
Well done guys.
6:31 goosebumps all over me once again since childhood from the movie amazing performance
Awesome!!!
AWESOME!
Very awesome job and arrangement!!! Glad to see PMA involved in this.
Man, makes me go right now, bless the Lord our God, king of all, forever and ever Amen. Come all people to him and celebrate and be with the Lord, away from the world. Rejoice and be glad in it Amen! 🙏

Hi
Sheridan Nazario
Lol hi
How many vocal parts sang in "The Plagues"?
