Why are slaves white and Masters Black?? Why is Moses mother white and not Arab?? Why is Pharo's wife white and not Coptic/Egyptian/Arab?? And they did not make pyramids with slaves, that's what white romans did not Egyptians.
It's really weird, but I dreamed of producing a play just like this when I was young. With people acting as the water... I was in love with this movie as a kid.
It's just a little confusing though, because in the actual Bible, Miriam was cursed by God after being racist towards Moses' black wife and trying to usurp his authority.

I used to sing that to my horses when I was working in their pens, cleaning sheds out and such. They often would come near me, and rest while I sang. I sang that one, I also sang All the pretty little ponies and same thing.
I couldn’t sing it to my baby without thinking about being in that mummas position and just bursting into tears. The strength it must have taken to trust the universe to protect this tiny human and that you will potentially NEVER see them again.

So beautiful 😍 In the scriptures Miriam asks if she can get a Hebrew woman to be Moses’ nurse, and Pharaoh’s daughter agreed. So she fetched her mother, and pharaoh’s daughter paid her to nurse Moses ❤
@@devannyblanco3309Though I haven't read the scriptures, i'd say it's presumably so Yocheved could still be with her son, and she'd have better work than the average Hebrew. Nobody had to know that was Moses' biological mother.
