Studio 71 has replied, they've removed the claim on my video and apologized.

Well the problem I see is that Studio71 is a owned by a german TV Company (Prosieben Sat1). A thing I could imagine is that the copyright system or parts of it are based on german copyright law.
Just let me ask you a question. Did you ever look up the german copyright law?
Lets just say that most of the stuff Joe, The Nostalgia Critic or any other reviewer wouldnt be possible here. Something like fair use doesnt exist in Germany.
Lets take music for example: As soon a tune is reconicable (for example somebody can say that the melody from Artist A from his song B) I would violate copyright law.
For movies I only could use stilshots of it at best.
And of course money I couldnt make with it in any case. As soon I earn 1 cent with it I violate copyright law.
Not to mention that I would have to buy the rights for everything I use. Then I can use them (accoring to the buy contract) and in some cases can make money with it.
And thats also the reason this videos piss me off quite often. Not only because the claiming system is bullshit, not only because of all this moneygrabbing bullshit going on. No also one reason is because almost every american youtuber "ranting" on this topic are always whining like they are threated the worst while I sit here thinking "Do you even know how happy I would be to be even allowed to do perhaps half of the stuff you do?"
I know its not the fault of the creators but it makes me angry sometimes. Its always the poor poor american/english youtubers while nobody gives a fuck that youtube is international giving the impression that they only want to improve RUclips for them and not for everybody.
Sorry if I got carried away. Only thing I wanted to say is that Joe perhaps (its only a theory I have) got a taste of what is pretty normal here in Germany (how I said Studio71 is owned by German TV Companys). So sueing them would be surly pleasant to see but probaly wouldnt hit them as hard as you might think.

I realize what you're trying to say. Laws are different all around the globe. How would one handle such a law, though? Would it be in the company's country, the home country of the person who feels they were unfairly copyright striked, or would we need to go by the law RUclips recognizes? In what situation would that be fair to all parties? If we go by company country, new companies could simply establish themselves where copyright favors them. If we go by the home country of the person who got hit, new accounts could crop up claiming to be in other countries that have weaker copyright laws. If we go by RUclips's, the verdict would come from a biased source, since they would benefit the most from favoring the side who's giving more money to them.
This is a major problem the world faces as we as a species become one. Who's laws and customs do we follow? Until we get global laws, we simply don't know. Not even the United Nations can lay claim to such a power yet. The world saw what happened when the US tried to pass SOPA.

When a company contracts a producer. The products produced and the deratives(I don if this is the correct english word, google it) created such us advertisements is solely ownef by the company(or corporation).
A company (bakery) offers different services (like coffee, cakes,etc), then contracts an ad studio for advertisements. The studio can't claim ownership of the ad(unless agreed to) which they have nothing to do with.
Likewise the famous Coke ad., the artist cannot claim the work he is contracted to produce under Coca Cola Corp. but the artist can claim a 'fair usage' in non-profit for his portfolio presentations.
Now RUclips w/Google not doinh anything to Studio 71assholes is as equally bad.

RUclips and Konami should play a game of Russian roulette together with a fully loaded revolver. It would be much quicker than slowly hanging themselves, like they're doing now.
The worst part of this is that no one can leave. People can joke about leaving and going to Dailymotion or Vimeo or whatever but those websites just DON'T have a community like RUclips does. If no one watches, no ne will make videos. So unless we just Boycott RUclips and all jump ship together it won't fix anything, and even then a lot of people won't know to leave. It'll take forever to train ourselves not to watch videos here because it's just ingrained in us. Google is literally using nostalgia and over ten years of using this website to share content to fuck us all up the ass!
Then you need to force people upload to both places. Start telling people to use it once it's big enough you can impact change that way. Issue is I don't think Dailymotion have monitization like youtube does so what incentive does it have to leave it for them?
the fact of the matter is as soon as Dailymotion or vimeo gets anywhere near as big as youtube all the same problems will start to happen.
It could be done. Just takes some organisation. If we can get maybe the top 30, 40 or 50 channels to all set a date where they jump ship together to Vimeo (maybe even cut a deal with Vimeo for themselves at that) then it would be HUGE! it would be news ... and Google would definitely take note of that.
We would need that most influential RUclipsrs to band together and leave. It would be better to design a completely new website that actually protects fair-use, and caters to the content creators. Think of it: a video website made for creators, by creators.
Unfortunately, one big problem would be lawsuits. Google has the power to protect us from bs lawsuits, but chooses not to. The average RUclipsr does not have the knowledge of law, nor the money to be spending on a lawyer every time some shitty company wants to cry about their content being criticized.
Other than that, we would have to expect people to abuse the site by uploading full movies and further putting the site at risk. It's a very difficult thing and there's no guarantee that there would be enough support to make it work.

That's what it's going to take. A class-action lawsuit against RUclips on behalf of it's content creators is the ONLY thing that will force Google/RUclips to get their shit together. They have no incentive to if it doesn't cost them money.

If I was in charge of copyright laws I would make it that if a company made a claim on a piece of content, but the claim was found in the case of the defendant, the defendant would gain ownership. If the claimers did not actually own the property in the first place they would have to pay compensation equal to the value of the property.
That's far too easy on them.

The troll seems to actually have to do with the network. If you search Studio 71 on youtube search engine, you'll find a video explaining how it is really the same Studio 71. Just search it, and see the rant made by a youtuber called GrahamGraydog.
Long story short, the guy talking about it got his video claimed by another youtuber called McJuggerNuggets, which after contacting the said youtuber, he says that it's the wish of his Network, Studio 71. Also some screen shots shown on that video that the copyright issue claimant, is non other than Studio71_2_1.
So, it seems that it is really the same Studio 71, abusing youtube weakness.
You should boycott youtube. Get like 20 "big" youtubers and launch your own site together where you can release your own content. If there's enough of you with enough subscribers, you're sure to get enough pressure going to make a switch. I think it's very welcome across a lot of different youtube-communities.
Thing is, youtubers complaing and whine and cry, but in the end, they like to get payed.
The smart move would be to create a new site, and launch a new brand by "RUclipsrs". Basically rally together and launch their own company. Problem is...their egos might be too large and no one would be able to agree with each other on who owns what.
But, it needs to be done. A new company needs to be created out of all this.
that all sounds nice in a world where it works but then reality comes in. these big youtubers would have to invest in high end servers which are in no way cheap for the amount of views youtube videos get. Then from there get more then half his audience to subscribe which would not happen because guess what the world would not switch from free views to paid views. So most likely the income would not make the work worth it. 1. you need to know how to code or hire a coder to create a website. coding takes time and if he was a coder he wouldnt be doing youtube videos because he could make triple the income. to hire a coder to create a secure video system would cost some cash i am sure he can afford that part though.
2. once you have the website you will then need the servers that can handle the traffic that is not cheap in anyway. i am sure at the start he could afford it as well.
3. you would need to hire people that can keep the website secure and monitor it since its a website its not very hard to attack it and if you are not new to youtube there is plenty of haters out there.
4. now in the meantime having a website with videos even if he was getting a million views a video brings in no income initially. He would need to have some type of subscription service. or sell advertising or sign up for a adsense account type of a deal. and i highly doubt out of the 2 million youtube subscribers not even 5 % would subscribe and pay for his content out there pocket. thats not a fact but most would just find another free content provider here on youtube

This is getting WAY out of control. I have not yet had any conflicts with YTH But then I don't upload very much. But as a YT viewer, I DO see a lot of shit that needs attention. What does need flagging are the following:
-Videos with "Clickbait" thumbnail images that have nothing to do with the video.
-Videos with Misleading "Clickbait" titles.
-Videos tagged for HD, when they are clearly NOT HD.
-Broken videos that stall or stop part way through.
-Videos that are less than 10 minutes long in content, but paste a long closing "Subscribe" screen or blank space for the sole purpose of hitting the 10 minute mark to gain another ad.
-Any future video uploaded in 144p or 240p (it's 2016, not 2004. Even cheapo phones can record in 1080p)
-Disposable, "Bluehead" troll accounts.
-Users with usernames so long that they take two lines, or usernames containing indecent language.
-ALL BLEACH or CLOROX accounts (These are trolls)
-Any user who spams unrelated content in the form of links on other peoples videos.
-Any user who intentionally links malware or virus sites. (same as above)
-Any user who spams the comment feeds with Copy-Pasted ascII text art, excessive use of emotes/emojis, (as in whole blocks of back-to-back emojis) "I'm so early" or "First!" garbage.
-Any users who knowingly make false content, or copyright claims on videos.
Shit like THAT needs dealt with. NOT honest users like Joe who provide a useful, and wanted service to others!

I looked up their youtube channel and website and they are literally a company that makes money claiming videos. They even have a video titled "how to make a lot of money on youtube". The worst thing that ever happened with this service is the whole monetary system. Back when youtube was only an infant service, there was no irritating "youtubers" who only does videos for money. Nowadays there are millions, lots of worthless videos, it looks pretty much the same compared with open TV material. Same shit, over and over again. "youtubers" are greedy, the system is greedy, etc... It's all fucked up. It was good when everything was released for free, people make their videos because they just want to, not because they are driven by money. Every damn time they started to monetize something, shit happens, goddamn minecraft generation.

Some of us arent greedy, but some like me, this is our only option for even trying to make money. Granted I have and never will make money with youtube. I know it's all about personal taste and everything, but honestly... The quantity of bad quality videos outweighs the good ones by really far. Regardless of the production value. For example, from every decent angry joe review (with is something very rare these days) at the same time there are others150 videos reviewing the same damn thing being released at the same time, 200 "reaction" videos, etc... To expecify one demographic, the whole "gaming" segment is rotten, everyone trying to be the next "big" thing and in the end the overall quality plummets.

Even if Google hadn't come along, RUclips would've still gone the way it is now in terms of content, but the high quality part wouldn't have been able to grow.
