Uncharted is good, but it's just not for everyone, and definitely not a classic or anything. It's basically an interactive movie, which isn't bad (certainly more interactive than many Telltale-type games) but it's ultra-restrictive at times and I can't much enjoy a game that takes control away from me every four seconds.

To be fair the division is actually in a pretty great place now. They patched it a bunch. I was one of those "this game will forever be ass" people until patch 1.4 dropped and PVE got pretty fun.

+Elle And Gramps warframe's lore is full of contradictions (if you ever bothered to read codex entries you would know it) and boss fight are mostly ridiculously bad, with timegated invulnerability phases and no real compelling mechanic to progress during the fight. but hey, maybe I'm wrong and shooting somebody in the face every now and then is good game design.
Warframe has great boss fights. It has a lore too, the farming is only necessary if you want to get a certain item, it takes very little time to get any specific item. There's quests that matter with rewards at the end.. Actual quality in design with cinematics in recent updates. You cannot judge Warframe if you have not played until you need to unlock "The New Dream" quest. Ennemies are weak as fuck if you're not going in with level 1 items against level 30s, if you know how to put upgrades on your stuff you just one shot everything easily with weapons you acquire early on. It is free, It has content, albeit repetitive. And there's a passion, the micro payments offered are not invasive, hell you have no reason to put any money. In my head it's better than Destiny as well. The division doesn't have shit, it should be ashamed it's 70$ and less good than a free one.
Despite what you bandwagon riders say; Infinite Warfare wasn't the worst game to come out last year in 2016. At best online co-op is average. As for the story, its damn good. Anyone who says otherwise is dishonest and mostly hasn't played the game for themselves to at least give COD IW credit for what it gets right.

usually the videos are it opinionated based. So these would be the worst games of the year according to Joe. If we went by reviews we'd probably have about 300 tied for the #1. Usually his list does contain more of the worst games that were advertised on big budgets rather than what steam gets. Because you could make a top 100 bad games list and there still be 300 more qualify.
davidpiksi agreed I personally feel that games such as the division,NMS, mafia 3 and quantum break were a disappointment if anything and I personally enjoyed quantum break, mafia 3 and the division after ubisoft released the updates and patches which drastically improved the game.
Layers of Fear? I mean. It's certainly not one of the best games that have come out this year, but definitely not one of the worst either. The story was good and well told, graphics were fancy and the scare factor was targeted to a specific audience. The only thing I felt needed fixing was the fail state, because it was barely existing in the game. If you happened to "die" it didn't affect the game that much really. Moreover, "dying" sometimes skips content and that's kinda meh. But in general, I found the game entertaining and interesting. There are definitely some worse titles in 2016 :P
Dead by Daylight for instance is a much, much, MUCH worse game. Same genre, same price tag and basically another piece of horror with unlikable and dumb american teenagers. The plot is laughable and so are the characters and aesthetics. I found the game so bad I didn't even finish it. Not scary in any way (most of the times you just feel pure hatred towards the main characters and wish them to die in extremely gruesome ways) and even the jump scares made me chuckle. Basically a game made by someone who has watched too much Saw and hates all life outside of Saw-fanboys. Easily one of the worst games released this year.
I kinda mixed up Until Dawn and Dead by Daylight. But hey, what do you know, the names are kinda similar. And I also found out the game came out 2015. So that was my mistake. But I guess you still get the point of comparing a decent horror game to a horrific piece of crap that shouldn't have been ever released.
I mean, Until Dawn is a perfect example of what is wrong with modern day horror. Instead of atmosphere and creativity, we get lazy writing based on some monster from folklore X inserted into the setting of Y with a bunch of uninteresting and mostly annoying characters that no one can relate to. Makes you root for the psychopath instead, because the characters deserve a freaking Darwin Award in the first place.

Ian Khoo He gives them that with no comparison to other titles, and I feel that Joe actually starts the game with a 4 based on its functionality, if its really a game at all. I feel like 5-10 are based more finitely on details and such and 0-5 is a milestone simply achieved by making the game itself. They actually fixed The Division to be alot more fun. It's way better than it was at launch, and in all honesty the game is worth the purchase alone for the Survival DLC. Honestly one of the best videogame DLC's ever.
I almost felt sorry for Father Gascoigne. His AI was just written so badly... For most of the battle, he just swung impotently, stuck behind tombstones, while I tore him apart with my threaded cane.
That's kinda how I feel about a HUGE chunk of western Triple-A gaming market (With few exceptions like the Arkham series, Far Cry 3, Assassin's Creed 4, Tomb Raider, Skyrim and the Witcher)
What got me into that game was the want to play a bad ass agent in post apocalyptic New York, the guns looked awesome, gear etc. I wanted to learn how this outbreak happened, get more into the story, I just couldn't, the story was told terribly. The game play minus the sponge enemies was awesome in my opinion. It was fun for the first few months, of all my years of gaming, never had i had my heart race as much as when I first entered the dark zone. But it got stale quick. awesome idea, not the best execution.
The Division and Quantum Break dont deserve to be on this list these are not bad games they are good but not great games but by no means WORST GAMES OF 2016
VR is nice concept, just should have better games. Wouldn't mind Skyrim where I can look around freely and really feel like I'm there. But I don't really like the full-motion -thing where you have to have an empty room.

Uncharted is good, but it's just not for everyone, and definitely not a classic or anything.
It's basically an interactive movie, which isn't bad (certainly more interactive than many Telltale-type games) but it's ultra-restrictive at times and I can't much enjoy a game that takes control away from me every four seconds.

To be fair the division is actually in a pretty great place now. They patched it a bunch. I was one of those "this game will forever be ass" people until patch 1.4 dropped and PVE got pretty fun.

The fact that so many games have to be patched a half dozen times before they're good or even decently playable is a joke, borderline criminal. We shell out $60 for a game, it should be ready and playable at launch. Why are we paying full price for launch demos? That's why game developers are supposed to employ a fucking QA department. We're not supposed to be the playtesters for these AAA titles. Batman: Arkham Knight, The Division, Destiny, some of the Battlefield titles.... the list goes on an on of these hyped up blockbusters that are riddled with bugs, unbalanced gameplay and level design that require subsequent patches and revamps.

+BreakingBeJammin no, it's not a valid excuse. Besides, if he criticizes a game for something it's quite hilarious that he can enjoy another game that has the very same issues. The game being "free" (if you can call it so) is not a valid excuse.
+Elle And Gramps warframe's lore is full of contradictions (if you ever bothered to read codex entries you would know it) and boss fight are mostly ridiculously bad, with timegated invulnerability phases and no real compelling mechanic to progress during the fight. but hey, maybe I'm wrong and shooting somebody in the face every now and then is good game design.
Warframe has great boss fights. It has a lore too, the farming is only necessary if you want to get a certain item, it takes very little time to get any specific item. There's quests that matter with rewards at the end.. Actual quality in design with cinematics in recent updates. You cannot judge Warframe if you have not played until you need to unlock "The New Dream" quest. Ennemies are weak as fuck if you're not going in with level 1 items against level 30s, if you know how to put upgrades on your stuff you just one shot everything easily with weapons you acquire early on. It is free, It has content, albeit repetitive. And there's a passion, the micro payments offered are not invasive, hell you have no reason to put any money. In my head it's better than Destiny as well.
The division doesn't have shit, it should be ashamed it's 70$ and less good than a free one.

Despite what you bandwagon riders say; Infinite Warfare wasn't the worst game to come out last year in 2016. At best online co-op is average. As for the story, its damn good. Anyone who says otherwise is dishonest and mostly hasn't played the game for themselves to at least give COD IW credit for what it gets right.

Layers of Fear? I mean. It's certainly not one of the best games that have come out this year, but definitely not one of the worst either. The story was good and well told, graphics were fancy and the scare factor was targeted to a specific audience. The only thing I felt needed fixing was the fail state, because it was barely existing in the game. If you happened to "die" it didn't affect the game that much really. Moreover, "dying" sometimes skips content and that's kinda meh. But in general, I found the game entertaining and interesting. There are definitely some worse titles in 2016 :P

Dead by Daylight for instance is a much, much, MUCH worse game. Same genre, same price tag and basically another piece of horror with unlikable and dumb american teenagers. The plot is laughable and so are the characters and aesthetics. I found the game so bad I didn't even finish it. Not scary in any way (most of the times you just feel pure hatred towards the main characters and wish them to die in extremely gruesome ways) and even the jump scares made me chuckle.
Basically a game made by someone who has watched too much Saw and hates all life outside of Saw-fanboys. Easily one of the worst games released this year.
Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer action game... pretty sure that isn't the same genre. And it wasn't supposed to be story focused.
I kinda mixed up Until Dawn and Dead by Daylight. But hey, what do you know, the names are kinda similar. And I also found out the game came out 2015. So that was my mistake. But I guess you still get the point of comparing a decent horror game to a horrific piece of crap that shouldn't have been ever released.
I mean, Until Dawn is a perfect example of what is wrong with modern day horror. Instead of atmosphere and creativity, we get lazy writing based on some monster from folklore X inserted into the setting of Y with a bunch of uninteresting and mostly annoying characters that no one can relate to. Makes you root for the psychopath instead, because the characters deserve a freaking Darwin Award in the first place.

I feel like 5-10 are based more finitely on details and such and 0-5 is a milestone simply achieved by making the game itself. They actually fixed The Division to be alot more fun. It's way better than it was at launch, and in all honesty the game is worth the purchase alone for the Survival DLC. Honestly one of the best videogame DLC's ever.

I will never understand the hype/love for The Division. Its the most generic and boring shit to come out in a while.
That's kinda how I feel about a HUGE chunk of western Triple-A gaming market (With few exceptions like the Arkham series, Far Cry 3, Assassin's Creed 4, Tomb Raider, Skyrim and the Witcher)

What got me into that game was the want to play a bad ass agent in post apocalyptic New York, the guns looked awesome, gear etc. I wanted to learn how this outbreak happened, get more into the story, I just couldn't, the story was told terribly. The game play minus the sponge enemies was awesome in my opinion. It was fun for the first few months, of all my years of gaming, never had i had my heart race as much as when I first entered the dark zone. But it got stale quick. awesome idea, not the best execution.

VR is nice concept, just should have better games. Wouldn't mind Skyrim where I can look around freely and really feel like I'm there. But I don't really like the full-motion -thing where you have to have an empty room.
