Alex with the White Wolf lore! He's absolutely right. Red Talons despise humanity and most of them were born as wolves anyways. So, not only do they hate being in human form because they hate humans, it's also uncomfortable and weird for them.
And the red talons would never help humans they rather exterminate all humans or go extinct then help the worm. So dissapointed on how they handle this tribe since they are quite easy to write.
How is New World, not on this list, i would have been it in the top 3 if not number #1 . The game has so much potential and they just squandered it because there devs have no idea how to write code nor did it have any road map of what it was doing and where it was heading.

The Grand Theft Auto: Definitive Edition was built from a bad mobile port, they used a failed mobile port of the games and the company who made those ports to turn them into remasters instead of basing them off the PC or console builds. Then they basically let an AI program upscale and port the entire thing to save on time and labour costs. 🤦♂️🤣

As bad as Balan Wonderworld is, I highly recommended it to every game designer and aspiring designers. Because it is the holy grail of misguided game design. Where nearly every decision was a bad one. In fact, it's so fascinating in its badness that I feel everyone should play it. Just to experience it.
This is why I appreciate the AJS. I'm glad they give their honest opinions and are not silenced by youtube or any game/movie company. Its sad to say it's rare, but please never fucking change AJS. Here is to many more years of rage and happiness.

It's not incompetence. It's what they're willing to spend to make a game. Even if they could get away with slapping a title on an old game to resell it, the only question is ‘Will this make our stock prices go up?’ Everything else is irrelevant.

Over work the employees to shorten development time to save money to release sub standard work to fix it over time to label it live service, then add battle pass and irrelevant game markets that become the real focus point. I saw videos by both Austin Eruption & LS Mark regarding the "Tims" (those tiny bird creatures) & the game of Balan Wonderworld as a whole. Apparently, the Tims help unlock a Balan costume for your character which makes platforming in the game a joke. The Balan Wonderworld wiki can tell you the method as well. Unfortunately, the outfit is VERY hard to get partly thanks to the RNG system with the Tims! LS Mark found THAT out the hard way! On a different note, some of the bugs in these games can mislead some gamers & casual viewers into thinking that David Cronenberg had a hand in making at least SOME of the games on this list!
This is what happens when devs and publishers know they have a franchise that the diehards will buy no matter what they do to it. Why improve when you can cut more and more every year and it will sell as much or more than the previous year? They don't make games for gamers anymore, Joe. They haven't in over a decade.
Most developers also want to fix critical bugs but usually upper management don't give a shit and will prioritize just adding more stuff... And then issues compound and snowballs into an unplayable mess 😐
@@alex31461 Quality Assurance, basically they get assigned parts of the game to test and try to break(through means naturally available to every would-be player, of course) so they can find and report any issues. Of course, if the peeps in charge of management have their head up their asses as they so often do when these reports get passed up the ladder, these will go completely unaddressed.
Battlefield 2042 is so heartbreaking. They took a collective dump on the entire fanbase. We waited years just for this. I hope every single person stops playing that garbage and teaches the devs a lesson.
100% agree there is no excuse for how bad the game is. It just blows my mind how they still haven't fixed the mouse input. Like that is the 1 mechanic that has to be right in a FPS game... And what's even crazier is the devs have no fucking clue how to fix it. They said its been "fixed" a total of 4 times since the beta, but somehow have made it even worse with every new patch 🤦♂️ How tf is that even possible????? Like do they not play their own game to at least test it???? I just don't understand their decisions at all. One of the most satisfying experience of my life was coming back to home after a day of school and hanging out with friends and then playing Mass Effect 2 and Empire Total War. You fight against the evil forces of A. Company whose dastardly mission is to turn all foes into humanoids and sell blue.

Joe is very dedicated. I remember the time when the channel incorporated movie reviews and people were hating and disliking all the vids. But Joe kept doing it and now they are able to reclaim the status successfully. I like the changes to this channel and like where it is going. I feel like Joe channel also really grows from those only hardcore gamers to general entertainment consumers. Keep up the good work and excited to see more where this channel is heading in the future!
The movie reviews are trash. You can't be the Angry Gamer when the majority of your content is show/movie reviews. I still love the channel but it's a shadow of its former self. The love just ain't there anymore.
What was the worst game for me in 2021? That’s actually genuinely hard to answer because I actively research any game I’m considering buying before actually doing so. Especially if it’s a new release. I wait for trusted reviews (of which AngryJoe is top tier) and see actual gameplay footage before buying. But based on what I’ve seen this year, Madden or Battlefield 2042.
I love the show, I come back and watch videos like this and it still makes me laugh and nod my head agreeing because you have the same level of passion for gaming that I have and it’s awesome to see someone with a voice share the same complaints about this shit. Love ya guys!

Yes for video games. Absolutely. But for movies his recommendation sucks for example the other year he recommended Hamilton oh my god what a horrible piece of trash. two out of 10
For me, my worse gaming experience this year was with FNAF Security Breach for the PS4. So buggy and glitchy, it lagged like hell, textures looked awful, and I mostly died to the lagging and teleporting enemies. Not to mention, I couldn’t really beat the final boss since, even though the cutscene played, I still got jump scared and died. Needing to start the boss fight all over again. While there was stuff to like in the game, the PS4 version was unacceptable in the state it was in.
@@diobutt1894 I only really found the very first fnaf game to be scary but that was only because it was a "new" different thing, but tbh, jumpscares just wont cut it anymore and i find it to be a rather lazy horror component to use. Atmosphere is what security breech lacks as none of the atmosphere in the game feels horrific. Being trapped in Ikea is way more scary than being trapped in an amusement complex.

I agree that the other jumpscares from the previous games weren’t that good but the other games had the dark atmosphere and uncanny sounds which would add tension and give the jumpscares that build up it needs to be scary. Like you said, security breach doesn’t have that atmosphere the others had, and on top of that the games constantly bugging out also made the game WAY less scary

It's been over 10 years since Joe has done these top 10 lists. Each year just feels like nostalgia and better every year. I hope these lists continue to impress us every year to come.
Been waiting all month for this, Joe's annual Worst Games list are always endlessly entertaining. All of the games on this list are undoubtedly horrific but why are both Battlefield 2042 & GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition not ranked way way higher??? Those two games should be #1 & #2 on the list as they were easily the 2 most high profile gaming disasters of 2021. Yeah games like Popeye & Nerf Legends were cringe but no one expected those games to be good in the first place. People did however expect GTA Trilogy to be great & were massively shocked by how Rockstar could take the classic games that made GTA what it is in the first place & just vomit all over them the way that they did and the horrendously appalling state of Battlefield 2042 may end up signalling the very end of the entire Battlefield franchise period.
I like how EVERYONE's forgotten it's actually "Balan WonderWORLD", not "land"...just goes to show how trite and trash that is, when even the game's name gets misremembered.
I’m not lying I was in tears the whole Popeye review. The punch mechanics are hilarious. And the way they fly in the air like it’s the second coming of Christ makes it even better.

The Grand Theft Auto: Definitive Edition was built from a bad mobile port, they used a failed mobile port of the games and the company who made those ports to turn them into remasters instead of basing them off the PC or console builds. Then they basically let an AI program upscale and port the entire thing to save on time and labour costs. 🤦♂️🤣

As bad as Balan Wonderworld is, I highly recommended it to every game designer and aspiring designers. Because it is the holy grail of misguided game design. Where nearly every decision was a bad one. In fact, it's so fascinating in its badness that I feel everyone should play it. Just to experience it.
I feel that way about BF2042. Except, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Unlike Balan, there's nothing funny about it.
So it's like a perfect example of what NOT to do in a game, without being ultra cancer like Battlefield. Got it, thanks.

I've got a friend who used to work at Grove Street Games. The horror stories of mismanagement on part of Rockstar, Take Two and the heads of Grove Street are insane. Like Mass Effect: Andromeda insane.
That they dumped such an impossibly huge job, on such a tiny studio, with such a short deadline, and then approved it for release, is inexcusable.

To think that the price at launch was only $19.99 for arguably the best football game ever made is something that will never be done again sadly. This process, in particular, is called Scientific Management Theory along with the process of Financialization.
I saw videos by both Austin Eruption & LS Mark regarding the "Tims" (those tiny bird creatures) & the game of Balan Wonderworld as a whole. Apparently, the Tims help unlock a Balan costume for your character which makes platforming in the game a joke. The Balan Wonderworld wiki can tell you the method as well. Unfortunately, the outfit is VERY hard to get partly thanks to the RNG system with the Tims! LS Mark found THAT out the hard way! On a different note, some of the bugs in these games can mislead some gamers & casual viewers into thinking that David Cronenberg had a hand in making at least SOME of the games on this list!
This is what happens when devs and publishers know they have a franchise that the diehards will buy no matter what they do to it. Why improve when you can cut more and more every year and it will sell as much or more than the previous year? They don't make games for gamers anymore, Joe. They haven't in over a decade.

Quality Assurance, basically they get assigned parts of the game to test and try to break(through means naturally available to every would-be player, of course) so they can find and report any issues. Of course, if the peeps in charge of management have their head up their asses as they so often do when these reports get passed up the ladder, these will go completely unaddressed.

Angry Joe's Top 10 lists are like that metaphorical umbilical cord that keeps you attached to the 2010-2012 era. One of the most satisfying experience of my life was coming back to home after a day of school and hanging out with friends and then playing Mass Effect 2 and Empire Total War. I have a wish of going to E3 one day and meeting Joe, lets hope it comes true someday.

But Joe kept doing it and now they are able to reclaim the status successfully. I like the changes to this channel and like where it is going. I feel like Joe channel also really grows from those only hardcore gamers to general entertainment consumers. What was the worst game for me in 2021? That’s actually genuinely hard to answer because I actively research any game I’m considering buying before actually doing so. Especially if it’s a new release. I wait for trusted reviews (of which AngryJoe is top tier) and see actual gameplay footage before buying.
But based on what I’ve seen this year, Madden or Battlefield 2042.

For me, my worse gaming experience this year was with FNAF Security Breach for the PS4. So buggy and glitchy, it lagged like hell, textures looked awful, and I mostly died to the lagging and teleporting enemies. Not to mention, I couldn’t really beat the final boss since, even though the cutscene played, I still got jump scared and died. Needing to start the boss fight all over again.
While there was stuff to like in the game, the PS4 version was unacceptable in the state it was in.
Yeah and on top of that it wasn’t scary at all which was disappointing for it to be a fnaf game
@@diobutt1894 I only really found the very first fnaf game to be scary but that was only because it was a "new" different thing, but tbh, jumpscares just wont cut it anymore and i find it to be a rather lazy horror component to use. Atmosphere is what security breech lacks as none of the atmosphere in the game feels horrific. Being trapped in Ikea is way more scary than being trapped in an amusement complex.

I agree that the other jumpscares from the previous games weren’t that good but the other games had the dark atmosphere and uncanny sounds which would add tension and give the jumpscares that build up it needs to be scary. Like you said, security breach doesn’t have that atmosphere the others had, and on top of that the games constantly bugging out also made the game WAY less scary

Been waiting all month for this, Joe's annual Worst Games list are always endlessly entertaining.
All of the games on this list are undoubtedly horrific but why are both Battlefield 2042 & GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition not ranked way way higher??? Those two games should be #1 & #2 on the list as they were easily the 2 most high profile gaming disasters of 2021. Yeah games like Popeye & Nerf Legends were cringe but no one expected those games to be good in the first place. People did however expect GTA Trilogy to be great & were massively shocked by how Rockstar could take the classic games that made GTA what it is in the first place & just vomit all over them the way that they did and the horrendously appalling state of Battlefield 2042 may end up signalling the very end of the entire Battlefield franchise period.
Was also waiting BF42 making to the top of the list.

As a teen I loved the world of darkness vampire and werewolf rpg’s. This game broke my heart worse than my first love. And possibly ruined our possibility of a decent game down the road.
