Same tv. My light on the power button still works but the TV cus stopped working and the light just blinks when I try to turn it on.
Fat Dubee makes me suspect a power supply issue. I’d pull the back cover and get a look at the power supply board. If any of the capacitors are bulging, replace them. I’ve got a video showing how I did this process on a Samsung tv

That’s the same thing that happens to me. I’ve fixed it before but everytime it happens to me it gets worse and it takes longer for it to turn back on.

I have the LF320EM4 A model with the remote, fresh batteries, checked the power source, it's good, no back lights, unplugged for few minutes, no change,..
I use the remote, or push the power button and it does the same thing...Red light flashes 4×s, and stays on!!...until it's unplugged, that's all it does!!..No sound, flashlight test shows nothing, it's the main board, and thankfully this wasn't too expensive because fixing it exceeds the value, so new TV might be the the best option!!!...

I would guess that there's an issue with the power supply board in the TV. You may be able to find some diagnostic info by searching that model number on the badcaps.net forum. I've found a lot of useful info for repairing various TV's on that forum. Most of the repairs they discuss involve unsoldering and replacing individual components on the board, some of which may require special soldering equipment (hot air rework station), but you may be able to pinpoint the issue and then purchase a whole replacement board for a reasonable price if you're not comfortable replacing individual components.

I had never had this tv repaired; therefore, I would imagine no part had ever broken. However, when I used remote or pressed on button red light kept blinking then stopped.

How do you factory rest ???
Any tips on removing the back of an Emerson TV? I have an LF320EM4 A, I think I've removed all the screws, but its reluctant to open along the bottom edge.
Sometimes the plastic parts clip together too. Try using a thin pry tool to gently pry between the pieces.
Should I take all the buttons out and buy a remote since mine keeps changing channels like the source button is stuck and keeps changing.
Julio Vallejo once you get it apart, you may find that something is just wedged against one of the micro switches. You may just need to clear the obstruction.
Curious to know if anyone's had any problems with the sound. My TV was just working fine last night, and now all of a sudden not a lick of sound is coming through. Does that mean there's something wrong with the speakers?
Hey Dustin, we had a blackout here in my building and ever since then, my mom unplugged all the tvs in my house because she didnt want it to happen again. When we finally had the chance to use the tvs, the tv in my room is the only tv that doesnt work. (I cant say the same for my mom because she hasnt been using hers) Everytime I try to use my PS4, my tv would just turn on and off and just wont stay on. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!
Emo Dash sounds like there could be an issue with the power supply. I’d search for your model and the issue it’s having on badcaps.net forum. You may find some information on how to diagnose it properly.

If it won’t power on with the button on the TV or the remote, I’d suspect either the backlight has gone out (tv powers on, just no light shines through the LCD) or the tv is not powering on which could be an issue with the power supply or the main board.

Hey broni have and Emerson tv 32" is been on my room but hardly used it was connected to the power outlet and one day just didn't want to turn on and I noticed that the lil red light was not even on by any chance u know or have an idea of what could fix it ?
If the standby light is off, I’d suspect a power supply or main board issue. Potentially some swollen capacitors. I’ve got another video showing swapping out some capacitors on a different brand of TV.

Im havinv problems with my emerson too if i plug it in the red light will turn blue but the screen doesnt come on sometimes it turns on and sometimes theres just a black screen can you help plz. Its the eleft326 model
TTG 4LIFE try doing the flashlight test to see if the backlight has failed. Turn the TV on and press the menu button which should display something on the screen regardless of which input is currently selected. Shine a flashlight through the front of the tv at various angles to see if you can still see images displaying on the screen. If so, then the backlight system has failed. This could be either the backlight itself (LED or fluorescent) or the circuit board that powers the backlight. You may try searching the badcaps.net forum for your specific model number to see if you can find specific troubleshooting methods for it.

TTG 4LIFE you’ll need to determine if the actual backlight failed (most likely) or if the power supply/LED driver failed. If it’s just the power supply, the repair is just a matter of removing the back shell of the TV, unplugging some connectors and swapping in a replacement board. If it’s the backlight, it requires removing the fragile LCD screen and replacing the LED strips (or individual LED chips). I’ve got a video showing how I repaired a backlight on a Hitachi TV. My Emerson TV's volume and channel buttons don't work. At first, the volume would go down on its own and now they don't even respond. What do you think that might be?
gerardgmz assuming you can control the volume with a remote control, but the buttons on the TV itself don’t work, I’d guess that you have a similar issue with the push button switches. Either the plastic tab that pushes on the micro switch is broken, or I’ve also seen the micro switches come apart. It’s fairly simple to remove the back of the TV and inspect it.

I was controlling with the remote and now that doesn't respond. I'll try to reprogram the remote, too. The TV turns on but the volume and channel buttons don't respond.

So I called Emerson's tech support and helped me resolve part of the problem. The buttons still don't respond, but I'm able to control volume and channels from remote. I'll wait a little longer before getting a new TV. I'm not in that much of a hurry.

Roman Long typically those flashes are some kind of error code. Unfortunately I don’t have a list of codes for each brand. You may be able to google and find what that code means.

No, The parts i needed all together were to expensive so I had to buy a new tv,it turns out that certain parts of the tv from the inside might be messed up but you could try and replace them. if your looking for something not too expensive then I suggest buying roku tv because my mom works a job that pays her 13.00 dollars an hour and was able to get it without a problem.

Okay, so I'm not sure what I do, but when I try to play video games on I think the TV you just showcased... The screen won't come on. My 28" Emerson tv screen is broken glass cracked
Finding a replacement panel for it will be nearly impossible. Even if you found one, it’d likely cost more than a brand new TV. Once a LCD panel is damaged, it’s time to scrap the unit. I’ve had decent luck with selling the other parts (power supply board, main logic board, etc) that I pulled from TVs with damaged LCD panels on eBay to recoup some money.

Hi. This is going to be long and I apologize. I had to get Sling tv. My isp is CenturyLink. Their modem was out for a week and I watched TV through my mobile Hotspot. The modem was fixed and connected to my Roku, but a day and a half later, I had everything working but the picture. Roku explained how to reset the Roku, which I've done like 20 times already because every time the power cord gets moved a bit, when the power comes back on, no picture....rinse and repeat. BUT, here is the thing, Sling won't bring back the picture and I am now paying for watching an HDCP ERROR screen instead of Everybody Loves Raymond! I've done EVERYTHING. I've asked if it would be related to the speed of the modem, me using Hotspot, the Roku little box, all no's and Sling is about as useful as a snail. Any suggestions? Again, I've reset, deleted and added, went out, went back in, unplugged EVERYTHING, and nothing works. Got any suggestions? Oh yea, the supervisor at Sling told me to contact Emerson, WHERE IS THE PHONE NUMBER, AND, if it WAS my tv, all of a sudden and.out of the blue, why do I get a picture with Roku and RUclips, etc. but Sling says something about an HDM1 cord and bandwidth. Sorry and it's OK if you don't respond but it's 3 am and I've nothing better to do!🙂

XAVIER 113 like it’s physically stuck? If so, the only way I can think to fix it is to remove the back case, remove the switch panel, and remove whatever is holding it.

XAVIER 113 then it could be that the microswitch is bad, or there could be an issue with the power supply or the main control board. I’d recommend searching the badcaps.net forum for your model of TV and “won’t power on” to see if someone has determined a common issue for that model.

XAVIER 113 I’m not familiar with that model of TV, but most TV’s require you to remove the back panel. From there you’ll just have to figure out what additional steps are needed.
My remote, tv power button turns the tv power on to red light but no picture appears! Just happen 2 weeks ago! I had this tv for about 6 yrs + now never gave me a problem until now! GRRRRRR
Possibly a backlight issue. You can do the flashlight test. Turn the TV on and shine a bright flashlight into the tv screen. If you can make out a picture (you may have to look from various angles) then the backlight has stopped working.
Mine keeps turning itself on and off, changing channels by itself and won't respond to the Remote
My Emerson tv will come on and show the Emerson logo then it shuts off and while it's shutting off the red light blinks 4 times. The buttons are fine an working correctly but i cant get into the menu settings to try the trouble shooting steps that ive been told to try because it cuts off to fast and now im here asking for advice or information on what I need to do to get it working again. Picture an sound are great also.

No idea if you still respond to these, but the problem i have is that when I turn on tv, it rapidly starts switching between channels, remote can only turn the tv on, nothing else, pressing the buttons on tv don't work, besides the power button
Paradoxom I’d guess that one of the channel buttons is wedged again and depressing the micro switch. Just pull the back off the TV and investigate.

@@DustinRogersinMO a quick question, would i be able to just use the remote? It seems like it's just going to happen again, i saw that when i removed the back piece, i could unplug the buttons. Would the tv still work if i did that?
Paradoxom tv should still work, but I think it’d be better to leave them plugged in and just refrain from using them. If you lose or break the remote, you’d still be able to use the TV.
My situation is that it won’t turn on but when it’s on I can hit the button and it will turn it off ?
Makes me think there’s either a problem with the main logic board or the power supply board. If it were mine, I’d pull the back off the TV and look for swollen capacitors. I suspect it’s got one or more that are bad which is preventing it from turning on. Check out my other vid where I fix a no power issue on a Samsung by replacing capacitors.

I don’t know that there’s a reset button on this TV. If you leave it unplugged for several minutes I would think that it should reset.

I recently worked on an Insignia that did that. The issue with the one that I worked on was that it used the CCFL tubes for backlights. It had 3 tubes, but one was broken. When the TV first powered on, it would power up the two good bulbs, but since the 3rd was broken it would shut down as a safety feature. If the label on the back of your TV has a warning about mercury, it uses the same style of bulb and is likely the same issue. Unfortunately for my TV, I was unable to find a replacement bulb.

I did my basketball hit my tv

It could be one of a couple things.
1) the backlights failed
2) the power supply board is faulty
3) the main logic board failed
I suggest searching for your specific model on the forum at badcaps.net to see if others have posted any diagnostic steps for a no power on issue

Sometimes that can be an error code indicator. I suspect that there is a component that is failing on the main board, but you’d have to research your particular model to see if you can find a listing of error codes (if it even has on-board diagnostics).
My power button is the only button that works I was playing the game it changed channels I've never had the remote to this tv and it's stuck FML

I could be wrong, but I don’t recall there being a reset button on any TV that has been manufactured in the past 10+ years. Typically any “factory reset” is done through the on-screen menu.
