random story : when I was in the fifth grade my friends and I had a little snail farm in the backyard of the school ( this was a catholic school ) and by “snail farm” I mean we used to dig holes and cover them with leaves, making little houses for our snails. One day some eighth graders were running around and they stepped on our babies, absolutely destroying our village, wrecking havoc on our poor snails. It devastated my friends and I to loose all of our snails but alas we had already dug their graves so we gave them a proper funeral. However it didn’t end here, me being the little vindictive bastard I am I hatched a plan to get back at the older kids.
Whenever we had to go to weekly mass ( on like Wednesdays or some bullshit ) I would be busy with track and field but I decided to run as fast as I could and finish my lap, run over to the church and sneak in during mass and sneak in behind those students and scare them, turns out I ended up getting a nose bleed immediately when I entered the church and when I was going to scare a girl my blood dropped on her uniform and she screamed super loudly, so for the next few months there was a rumour going around that I was a demon, taking full advantage of this I did my best to scare the eighth graders whenever I could and on their graduation day we had a weird yearly talent show the eighth graders had to participate in so I entered with my friends and after we were done performing I hid and then I snuck up on the murderers backstage and put snails on their props, there was slime everywhere, loud screams were heard through the speaker and the sounds of thundering footsteps filled the space, I laughed at the masterpiece I had created, the survivors and the children of my fallen snails taking their revenge.
also, may have gotten two of them expelled but that’s a whole other story.
I also used to “tell the future.” and was called a vampire, a demon and a shapeshifter at some point during my time at that school. people also though I was British, Italian, Spanish or Romanian at different times while I studied there ??? even though it was an elementary school in Toronto and I had gone there since I was 6.

On the witch hut note: today I went for a walk in the woods in downtown Toronto (the Don Valley, specifically) and I came across a series of woven branch blockades. They were about a meter tall, suppored by the surrounding trees and branches taken from the forest. In true dumb protagonist fashion, I went deeper into the maze. They got denser and better made until I reached the centre of the construction: a single circle of assembled wooden walls surrounding a small shack. I tried to get closer, but the walls stopped me from doing so. After a moment of my loud crashing through bushes, an elderly woman came out of the central shack. She looked at me. I looked at her.
"Hey," I said, filled with dumb teenage glory "this place is really cool." There was a long pause. "Did you build it?"
No reply. She turned away from me. An even longer pause.
"I'll take that as an invitation to leave," I said, and made my way, crashing through the underbrush until I reached the path again.
So if you're looking for a spooky witch shack, I invite you to go check it out. Sure, you might have to fight a actual witch for it, but what's life without a little adventure?

My cryptid experience: I was out walking my dog in the woods with my mom one evening and we decide to go past these no trespassing signs and to another path that we hadn’t gone to in a long time. Eventually the path leads to a field that wasn’t there before. So we continue along the perimeter of the field and it suddenly gets colder.
Towards the end of the path there was a rusty folding chair sitting by itself. This wasn’t too weird, considering that the woods near the field were full of junk someone left behind. However, this chair was the only one standing in the path. We walk up to it and find the ground around it is just covered in bones. They were picked clean too, and were half buried.
So I did what any sane person would do and posed for a picture while sitting in the chair and holding a bone. I’m probably cursed now but I don’t regret it!

On the life in a bottle thing, it reminded me of a similiar thing I once encountered on a farm. It was a outdoor flytrap, it was filled with dead and living flies and a bunch of water, it had become a self contained eco-system, the living flies ate the dead ones, drank the water, mated and the eggs hatched in the mass of decomposing flies, providing nurishment to the maggots that then became flies that mated and died in the flytrap, the circle was complete. It was one of the grossest and most fascinating things I've ever seen tbh ^^.

My way of getting through this "social distancing" (quarantine) while working as a healthcare worker is by trying to actually start making a comic. Super scared but super excited!

My environment science class we were gonna do an experiment with swamp water but we just had various jars of swamp water and plants and they were referred to by me as "Canned swamp" and we found a snail during this time and it was great
I’m from the Okanagan Valley!!! Our version of Nessie is called the “Ogopogo” and I was always scared that it would bite my feet off if I swam too deep in the lake so that started my deep seeded fear of deep water. Anyway!! The Ogopogo was originally called N’ha-a-itk and was described as being a hostile beast that needed to be appeased by sacrificing small animals so that they could travel safely over the lake

I feel compelled to share my own personal cryptid experience. I was at a gas station sitting in my friend's car with another friend while she was filling it up at the pump. There was a small man in all red (shirt AND pants) getting out of his also red car at the next pump over. He had a mustache and I jeered at my other friend in the car saying, "Look at freaking Mario over here." He looked around all shifty like and stood there, car still running, with the pump in his hand. He didn't move the entire time we were there and my friend and I were freaking out about it, motioning our other friend to hurry up so we could leave. When we left, he turned his head to look at our car and turned right back to the screen, not even filling his running car up. It was so weird and I think about it all the time.

About the ecosystem in a jar thing, in 4th grade i made something similar. we made fish tanks out of big soda bottles but we cut off the top and flipped it over and put a plant in so there is a plant on top of a fish.
