Hey friend, were the side tabs you used on the new screen the ones on the old screen? It seems to me that yes, they have some kind of glue that stuck to the new screen? I'm unsure whether I need to buy the new screen with the tabs, which is more expensive, or just the screen, which is cheaper, and I can use the tabs from the old one.

Hi, you don't need to buy the more expensive one with new tabs. You can use the old ones as you can easily detach them from the old panel (yes they have glue but you can pull them off easily)
