Also, try to keep brightness at or below 50% while using (should not be a problem since it can go up to 600 nits, that's more than enough even in brightly lit rooms), and keep your laptop on dark mode, since burn in happens when the pixels have to light up at high brightness on one single frame displayed. Great review as always. I actually use VivoBook Pro 15 2022 model with Ryzen 9 6900HX and RTX 3050 Ti and USB4 as my daily driver for couple of months now and I can say that this is a pretty superb device for any kind of work you throw at it. Regarding that i7-13650H or last year's i7-12650H, just want to add one information, those are actually Core i5 and you can see that if you check the number of P cores, only 4, compared to 6 in i7 models, like 12700H or 13700H. However, Intel calls them i7 because they have same amount of L3 cache in i7 models, 24MB, compared to 18MB in i5. In every generation since 10th gen, Intel has at least one of such models with Core count of Core i5 and L3 cache of i7 and then calls it an i7 which is a bit misleading as you'll never get the level of multi-core performance compared to a true i7 due to reduced core count.
6900HX is a very nice APU and you have the Ti so that's even better. But still for my video editing work this is fine. @@Techtablets Fan noise and battery level are the two main reasons, I picked up the AMD version for a slim Laptop where cooling solution is limited. During CPU stress, it is a bit loud but nowhere near to the Intel Counterpart and the maximum temparature I've seen in performance mode is around 92 degree C for a very short time and averaging around 82-86 C. Another great thing, at least in the AMD version, is the GPU TGP. Asus highlight this as 35W TGP, 50W with Dynamic Boost, but in mine, if you use the performance mode while playing games, the CPU gets limited to around 35 to 40W at max but the GPU runs at steady 50W, unlike other laptops where dynamic boost only works if the CPU allows releasing power. Perfect for RUclips videos and editing them at least for those of us sticking with 16:9. But i do like 16:10 for working on a laptop.
@@Techtablets i agree its great to have 16:10 for production laptop, but for videos and gaming its better to have 16:9.
Nice review overall, i have sub
Sure is for gaming and video!
Do you know how long the charging cable is ? Also would it power by usbc? Cheers
I think it's about 1.5m yes it supports type-c PD charging.
imho geforce xx50 xx60 class graphic card is the sweet spot for laptops, anything above makes no sense for a portable machine...anyway I'd like to have this with a Ryzen and the best integrated graphics they have right now (780m?)
Shame they didn't send me the configuration with the RTX 4060.
Yes the 680/780m is the best integrated graphics far superior to the Iris Xe Intro is lagging behind with their iGPUs.
you can add up to 48gb sodimm for a total of 64gb ram
Good point.
Hello, I want to buy my first laptop and right now I’m searching. This laptop kept my eye but I’m wondering if it’s okey for photo and video editing?
16:9🙁
I'd like them to release the s13 with Ryzen 7840u
The Vivobook Pro 16 has the 16" 16:10 screen. I would go for that model myself. And I hope to see some Ryzen versions!
you have tons other option to choose from, i on the other hand only have this laptop.
If you had to pick would you buy the xiaomi pad 5 6/128 or the xiaxin tab pro 2022 6/128 ?
Both are very similar and just as good. I think the Xiaomi for the updates.
@@Techtablets i can get the China rom version of the xiaomi pad 6 which came out a week ago for 50 dollars more than the xiaomi pad 5. would you do that? Since it's Chinese rom I'll still be able to do anything i want and it will be in full English right? Thanks
Yes you have english and can install Google Play. I would go for the newer model. I bought the pad 6 Pro my review is coming soon.
@@Techtablets would you recommend me to get the pad 6 pro for 100 dollars more or Just the pad 6? Also, do you pay customs and vat of you but off of giztop? What country are you in
Is the system quite in standard/whisper mode?
Do u recommend getting the ryzen 9 6900HX version with rtx 3050 for graphic design, editing & some gaming like genshin impact, elden ring, l4d etc.?
Would be okay for that, but you'll need low settings with the RTX 3050.
@@Techtablets how about if I get the i9-13900H version, 16GB + 1TB, RTX 4050? Would it be able to handle the tasks I mentioned previously more amazingly? Or should I just be better off getting a gaming laptop like the Asus strix/zephyrus?
Which is your LG OLED desktop monitor? thanks!
Throttling fixed with liquid metal. A bit of sanding, saturating with LM for 24 hours on both surfaces chip and plate, clean, then applying it for real, also nail polish was used on surrouding areas just to be sure cos its better to put a bit more LM than too little.
So good Thank you to Review
How much my Friend
Thanks for watching! 😀
I'm just starting to learn to code. I'm stuck between asus and macbook air m1 which one should i get? or any other suggestions huawei etc..
Well depends if you want Windows or MacOS right? Two very different laptops. If it's only coding and you want the battery life the Air M1 will outlast this. Huawei Matebook X Pro's are also very good but expensive.
1360P and 4060 shud be a good pair on this,i hope its $999 nxt yr with 16/512gb option
That would be a good combination. And the 1360p is just as fast single core if not faster!
The i9 and 3050 6gb one was on sale for 999 a few weeks back on bestbuy I belive
I bought the ASUS Vivobook 15 Pro OLED with an RTX 3050 Ti and I've had a lot of issues with it unfortunately, I've had the laptop repaired under warranty 4 times and now they're claiming it as consumer damage. Very disappointed with the laptop in all honesty, my previous cheaper ASUS Vivobook 14 Pro handled the software better and never had any issues in 2 years of usage with this one lasting barely 6 months before having evident issues.
Hello, do you know by any chance where I can get the top model with i9-13900H + RTX 4060 configuration? So far I only found either with RTX 3050 or it was 16-inch display :(. Thank you for your help!
Seems it hasn't been released yet and only with the 16" model possibly due to better cooling with the large model.
@@Techtablets Unfortunately 16" is too much for me, as I travel a lot. Do you think RTX 3050 will sustain heavy gaming? I'm looking for an ultrabook with good power. I don't mind turning down graphics settings. I also plan to use premiere and blender.
RTX 3050 isn't so good for heavy gaming it's the bottom end of the mobile GPU's it's fine at 1080po with low settings but not high or ultra.
@@Techtablets Alright, thank you for the explanation. I'll wait couple more weeks :).
The main page for this says the screen is 600 nits but clicking on the tech specs page for this says only 250 nits -- a BIG difference. From your using this which number seems more likely?
600
I'm not seeing K6604 anywhere. Is it not out yet?
Seems so, not yet released must be some delay?
Can you do a review on Lenovo xiaoxin laptop please
Why does this laptop sound delayed when connected to a Samsung soundbar? What's the solution?
Great vid.
Thank you!
Is this computer Good for graphic design ?
Asus vivobook pro 15 or 15 , which is better (in 2024)
Pro 15.
@@Techtablets thanks 🙏
isnt the gpu supposed to go to 85w? why in the gaming test does it just stay under 60w?
It's a 60W version in my unit.
What the best keyboard on a laptop you tried?
I was so sad that the performance is bad, but you have the 3050, I was thinking all the time that it was a 4050
No I have the lowest end GPU here.
where can I buy this?
Thanks 👍
Thanks for watching!
Is there the 14 inch varian?
Don't think so that would be then the Zenbook X14 version which are similar to this but 16:10 screens not 16:9 ratio.
Considering the specs, the fans aren´t as loud as my hp pavilion 15 i7 10th gen (turbo jet noises😂).
Venderan este modelo en Europa (Spain)?
Creo que no esta no.
is it good for programing?
Can you charge this with usb c port?
yes
where to get keycaps with japanese root like that?
Asus ZenBook or this one..?
How cpu temperature is low while gaming...! ?
I have vivobook oled 14 5800h rtx3050.. While gaming it's touching around 96°C... How to low the temperature while gaming...?
In cyberpunk it's in the mid 80s.
@@Techtablets how to lower the temperature while gaming in 5800h
How long have you had it? Check the cooling is clean and not full of dust. Repaste is an option but also try limiting the boost or power modes to see if it runs cooler at the expensive of a few FPS.
@@Techtablets bro it's 6 months old and i am not using frequently... 2 Or 3 days once I am playing games for 1 or 2 hours... That's all.. I don't know why it's heating way higher than any other laptops...
Sounds like it has a bad thermal paste job to me.
Guys, What do u think about Asus K6500ZH-MA106W Vivobook Pro 15 Oled, has anyone used this before?
Does it have much fan noise even in browsing or working with office?
How much db is it?
It does but very minor around 27db but under demanding loads and gaming you'll here those fans.
Is the system RAM upgeadable?
I don't think. I am looking for an Asus Vivobook pro with almost 32gb of ram and the only one is the K6604 I think :/
Can someone suggest me a good video editing laptop under 1 lakh
I don’t care about gaming laptops and I hate RGB setups. I actually like Asus creator series but I’m skeptical that the specs that they provide for the price isn’t justified because at the same price we can get a much better gaming laptop
I need a SD card slot, lightweight and very less or no RGB things
Are there any laptops?😅
Plus I’m saving for a MacBook Pro M3 Pro and I will sell my current PC for a windows laptop for time being
Thanks
that power suply very big
I have the core i7 + 3050 model , it's just collecting dust right now.
Great laptop but there are plenty of great alternatives. The screen is just awesome tho.
Alternatives like what?
Acer Aspire 5 or Asus VivoBook 15?
This one is better.
The only issue is that it is a 16:9 otherwise I would've taken it!
Oh perfect for me and my videos I shot in 4k which is 16:9.
@@Techtablets What about photo editing then? Especially vertical pictures? And how's the battery? Realistically
32gb will be work or not on this laptop?
Yes
@@Techtablets sorry, I mean if I add one 32gb stick to have 40gb of ram total
16:18 - GTX 3050 can run Cyberpunk like this? Wooow, what the hell? 👀
Yeah it wasn't too bad but i did use the Mux switch so that boosted performance up 5-10% they say.
Price in EU?
I think about 1199 euros.
not a gaming laptop with 4060 on board :), tell this my "gaming" pc with 1070
Waiting for Xaomi 13 ultra review
Coming soon!
anyone prefer 15"6 over 16" ?
I use to, but for work stuff got use to 16:10. But video and gaming 16:9 is still king!
Wish I can get the 15
Asus or vivo? Then I will comment
Asus and their vivobook Pro 15 OLED is the model.
this is the exact same as best buys q540
It is?
@@Techtablets yes , q540 (creator laptop) is interesting , it’s Best Buy only, but it’s seems to be this exact build in a different chassis
Going to buy it today, look it up and tell me what you think? Intel i9, 16 g ram, 120hz, oled , 2.8 k, 15.6inches $1299!
@@SOSA1beasthow's the battery life on the q540?
i don't really care about the screens on the laptop
Why? It's what you look at all the time it's important.
@@Techtablets I connect my laptop to an external monitor and I look at only that monitor 99% of the time. I just treat laptops as minimally built PC that are more energy efficient for all types of use (because they do have battery drain to consider so they don't just waste energy however they want). They are more energy efficient even than those mini-pcs. Plus my remote work needs me to use the work laptop issued by the company as well.
Ah okay got you. I use to do this myself have my laptops behind my 48" LG CX OLED connected via HDMI 2.1. But recently moved to a desktop build.
azus 😬
Asus with an S, yes yes it's my accent but i'm saying Asus, if I said Zeus it would sound different.
overrated crap. cannot get wifi adapter to work. i know at least 2 people that had issue connecting to home wifi with only this device. Asus does not recognize or validate this on their service. They did not return me the money because it "was used" as I installed OS on it... NEVER EVER GETTING ANYTHING FROM ASUS!
