This song brings back a lot of memories for me from the 90s.A lot of great New Age music was being produced including Enya and Enigma. Thinking back, that was a great decade.
As a Copenhagen supporter following UTD from the sideline. Especially after Højlunds transfer...I see a lot of frustrated fans venting. But i actually see improvement allready with Amorim, the Bodø Glimt match and also the Plzen one was not the best in terms of the play, but = 2 wins...Thats improvement getting the points. Even after only weeks of training! Plzen isn't a sexy name on paper. But was unbeaten in 9 European games at home! Work in progress but i see reason for optimism!
@@jamesmaybrick2001 I can think whatever I want, lol. Anyhoo-- Look back at Karl Jenkins original live performances of this song. It's a type of ocarina made out of an animal horn. They probably just had someone in the orchestra who could play recorder and went with it instead of flying someone in just for that part.
@@gigbgrannychannel8879 ruclips.net/video/roo8SvjEr6Q/видео.htmlsi=f3NDGEztiW7Ki5cl In 1995 it's a gemshorn. Has a different native-ish tone than a baroque recorder. That's all I'm saying.
Its good, but the song is 90% vocal and 10% instrumental, but in this presentation is 40% vocal and 60% instruments. Drums is to much strongs, and the chorrus is absorved by cords instruments. The only one instrument that should be strong is flaute.
As they say at home in France: "you must not be more royalist than the king" Would you be more Jenkis than Jenkis who is at the conductor's desk and who directs his own composition ?
Maybe you should write your own song instead ? Imagine being that ignorant and arrogant that you are going to tell the composer how to play his own song lol. GTFOH.
Completely disagree, this version is fantastic and the balance is just right. The only thing I don't like as much as the original recording is the lead vocalist, and the way they end it. Otherwise it's 👌🏻
The Irish choir on Britain's Got Talent was my introduction. Their vocal performance + choreography still puts chills down my spine.
If this doesn't give you goosebumps your literally emotionally dead.....🤔

And more on Pure Moods
💙 I still love this song after many years...2024 :)
Absolutely flawless performance.
Listening to this masterpiece, I can't help but smile at it's wonder.
This is unbelievably beautiful
I never tire of listening to how this beautiful melody is presented.
I could literally listen to this song all evening.
I was honored to see him live in Nottingham
I’ve always loved this piece
Absolutely stunning performance from you all would love to see this live. Beautiful song to listen to congratulations to you all.
Eines seiner besten Lieder !!!!
I've read comments all over that dismiss this as 90s New Age tripe. Whether you like NA or not, this is brilliant.
Those critics just dislike new age. We have every right to dismiss them just as they dismiss new age people.
If music is something that truly lives inside of you, there's no way not to live this song. This is soul music.

❤ Adiemus!
Thrilling in every aspect of music
So beautiful.
In a word "Beautiful" :-)
Hermosa música
During my ferry flights between Praia and Natal I played Adiemus, the flights multiple times.
I survived this all, may be due to Adiemus !
1:13 the flute player, looks like he knows god.
It's a recorder!
They actually can sound pretty good.

LMFAO😂 #truth
Does anyone know the name of the lead vocalist?
Miriam Stockley is the principal singer, the secondary is Mary Carewe.
@@eldisod1650 Thank you!
The singer in this performance is Karen Melis.
@@deadon113 Yes I realised the name suggested above was that of the original singer. Many thanks for this, I’d given up.
@@DanielMB You're welcome! I wanted to know the answer myself a few days ago - it definitely took a lot of research to find out her name.

Этот язык придумал Карл Дженкинс специально для этого цикла произведений))

Is that *Jenkins* himself conducting ?
Yes
music for the end of the world
the breathtaking world of One Piece brought me here
Exactly,. The master piece of one piece documentasion and great background sound
Are u watching one piece didnt u ?
No names of the sopranos, choir and orchestra. It would be more respectful to mention names of the interpreters. Nevertheless a nice performance!

It’s British.
asten gitaar ZINGEN KAREL JENKINS- ADIEMUS 2024
Ballade pot Adeline Andre Rieu
Lack of Miriam Stockley can be heard.
Wish they would have picked a Native American flute over the recorder. It didn’t do that part justice.
Pretty sure Karl Jenkins would have got the exact musician and instrument he wanted. Not sure you have any credibility in your opinion.

Love this song but I have to say I prefer the Enya version. This singers voice is not as powerful.

Enya has never sung this, it’s Miriam Stockley
