Absolutely beautifully sung. As a member of a choir for 60 odd years I can just imagine the many hours of practice they undertook to produce such beauty. They sing for the love of singing
As much as I adore the original, the addition of the male voices adds a layer that brought me to happy tears, it was that stunning! I have no words. Bravo! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🥲🥲🥲🥲
How do they achieve their unique sound and harmonies? When you hear them sing you instantly know it's Karl Jenkins choir. Their tone sounds West African to me, very exotic.
Es el lenguaje del alma y la madre tierra... con ese lenguaje te conectas al cosmos entero...es un solo lenguaje universal...todos lo conocemos, por eso al escuchar esta canción, dan ganas de llorar, porque a pesar de no entender nada, tu corazón lo entiende muy bien...
And to think that this song has no English translation that we know of. Believe it or not, the original person that composed this piece just thought that he’d make up some syllables to match the melody. Little did he know that adeamus was already a word in Latin. However, I would like for you to reply to this comment letting me know which translation you think that these lyrics might match with in English. For example, the translation that I came up with for the first line of lyrics in this particular piece, I think it would be “now we all gather nearer - now we all gather near - now we all gather near the father.“
+Vicki Larson Karl Jenkins is a composer who actually wrote this for a Delta Airlines commercial in the 90's. it has no meaning at all to it, it's meant to mimic Latin. it's a technique to turn human voices into musical devices
The male voices actually added this mystical feeling to another level of god like experience

I sang Adiemus with the Vocomotion choir in Dietzenbach some 5 years ago. A very emotional performance. I will never forget it.

This performance of the song has a much bigger male component than most.
I generally like female voices better than male, but this is a good mix.

According to a writer unknown, "Music is just Repetitive Noises," if that is true then, this is the sort of noises, I wish to hear all the time.

CHI È QUI GRAZIE A CIAO DARWIN LASCI UN LIKE.
There are recordings with better sound quality. Never the less a nice performance!
What language is it in? What are they singing about?
It is a Fantasy Language. The Componist want to Show, you dont had to know what they are singing to get Feelings, that why He used a fantasy language
somebody said it was jibberish. I think it's a tongue of the holy spirit. Beyond what we understand
+Vicki Larson Karl Jenkins is a composer who actually wrote this for a Delta Airlines commercial in the 90's. it has no meaning at all to it, it's meant to mimic Latin. it's a technique to turn human voices into musical devices
+Sarah Pittman I love it no matter it takes one somewhere we don't know of.It is a language ever heard of speaking in tongues?
+Vicki Larson Yes I've heard of speaking in tongues, I was a Pentecostal at one point in life. It's not a language, but an action.
it's made up of vowel sounds. the composer wanted to create a 'language of song'.
sogarite?
Need the title of this song
Adiemus
soberbio..!
Whatever about the great performance, there's some beautiful looking women in that choir!
They are all beautiful women

Fifth from left front row......trying for attention a little overdone.
They have too many performing what should be a solo. None of them can hit high enough. A performance completely ruined.
Not as good as the orginal but close!!
