Glad to see car guys with Teslas that know how to wrench. I did black adhesive felt on a Mercedes to eliminate those rattles and just picked up the new M3P. Great info on that dash fix. 👍
No. They all seem fine other than the rattle in the video. I've seen some reports of LED strips "delaminating" which makes them look like they have bubbles in them. But I think the jury is still out on that because the majority of cases I've seen (mostly on Reddit) have been attributed to window tint: the solution used for tinting getting into the strips.
Wow I love and hate Teslas. I love the way they drive but hate their terrible build quality. I had rattles and creeks in my new Moday Y the day I drove it home and it to this day still annoys me and I cant figure out where the hell it’s coming from. I was hoping the new Model 3 Performance models fixed all that but I guess not. 😡
I feel like Tesla is a notch below most manufacturers in build quality but they aren't far off. I've owned quite a few cars and I don't recall ever owning one that (when new) had zero rattles. I always seem to have to fix one or two rattles/squeaks.
That only goes for the US tho i have to say. Yes globally the built quality has improved but you still have many misses. I drove many newer Model S from the US and Model 3 from the US. But the China Model 3 Versions are way way better. Even better then the German Model Y. Germany still can be excused because of how new the factory is but the US... Sorry but China is better in that regard.

Did you just have to put one piece of foam above the LED strip to fix your rattle or did you have to do several small pieces along the whole LED line?

Same here, I’ve spent countless nights trying to figure them out. I have gotten almost all rattles gone!
