Wind noise is a common problem with Tesla cars, and it can be pretty annoying. This $10 fix sometimes up to $20 depending on when you purchase from Amazon will help reduce the noise coming from the window, and it's a great solution if you're frustrated with the sound of the wind in your Tesla. If you're looking for a simple solution to a common Tesla problem, check out this video!
Tesla makes amazing cars with bleeding edge technology but they are not perfect. We are going to go over how to fix Tesla window wind noise for $10
You killin it ! Nice work
This was driving me crazy. I used silicone to fix the squeaking window as it went up and down, and accidentally fixed the wind noise, too! I was going to post the tip, but you already did. Thanks!
Thanks for this. I'm gonna try it out. The issue is defintely the seal between the glass panel and the rubber seal because I would get various levels of wind noise when I would lower and raise the window back up. I heard about Tesla Roadside Technicians coming and doing exactly what you did.
It's been three months. Did you do it and did it work?
Thanks brother. This definitely helped with the wind noise on my model 3. I could easily tell the difference. Of course there's road noise but your solution helped with the wind noise which was more annoying. Thanks!!
Awesome! Glad it worked for you :)
Road noise has a lot to do with your tires. But since these vehicles are very quiet you’ll naturally notice another noise when you tackle one annoyance. But overall your vehicle will be quieter.
The best part of this video is 00:41
Gonna try it man, gonna try it. I know I have some silicone lubricant spray in the garage, I wonder if that is the same thing. I’m going to give it a whirl
Did it work ?
Nah it didn’t seem to. I might need new seals
Thanks so much for the tip.
I used a bottle of bicycle all purpose cleaner (Pedro's) and it worked great.
In fact it is probably the best single result yet. AND it made the parts shine.
Worked great on the plastic in the frunk.
No squeaks at all in chassis movement.
Awesome!!
Thank you! Going to give this a try
Did this work for you?
@@GrimAbstract It has seemed to improve things but I heard some wind noise one time.
You might have to reapply a few times
Depending on when you purchase the price can be anywhere from $8-$20. A super simple and cheap fix for tesla window wind noise.
Interesting that this would work! I ordered a different brand Silicone Lubricant because it will arrive today. It should work the same. Will report back if it takes care of the problem
Make sure you apply it a few times. I applied it then drove then applied again. What it does is helps create a better seal. Might not work for everyone but it definitely worked for me. Thankfully! Appreciate the comment and support
Didn’t really do much for me. I got the exact product and have tried to apply multiple times. Hopefully it will help others
@@FreddyB_ oh that’s a bummer. Is it wind noise from the window you are having a problem with or is it road noise?
@@electrikrich Definitely wind noise from a particular window. It seems to be silenced if I’m driving and ever-so-slightly lower the window, but that is not a permanent fix…
You might have a more severe case. They do sell kits that basically fill the gap with foam do that it presses the rubber more on to the window. Sorry that it didn’t help you. Sucks having a expensive car and dealing with these ridiculous issues.
Just bought model 3 3 weeks ago. couple days ago after rain i start hearing the whistle noise. May be the rain wash up the trim lubricant
Could be
do you do this only one time or regularly few days to wipe with that silicon material?
I had to reapply a couple times then it’s worked ever since.
Does it work for Tesla model y performance model cars . Thank you
I wish I could answer that but my MYP does not have this issue. Maybe someone in the comments can reply
Nice!🎉
Wish Elon spend more time tending to his Tesla product than wasting our time going off the hinge, know what I mean. Hey Elon, fix this damn noise in the window of model 3!
lol I know what you mean :)
I can fix that for free, just wash it with water
Wash the seal with water?
@FreddyB_ then use spray
Start at 1:26 if you want to get past the blahbing. And I don't recommend buying a Tesla.
Darn, I bought a '24 Model Y. Absolutely love it!
too late i got the 2024 mY LR and it's fantastic
