This is the first source that said to remove my phone case before trying to place a 5th icon. Never even occurred to me. Figured the last week of trying was just fat fingers. Easy fix. Thanx!
I've had my Y for about a year and now I know that I can still learn new tips even now. I especially like the easier way to open the door. Thanks for your efforts!
One more: if you're leaving your car in a secure area under your watch and it's a hot day, even if you have the auto close windows on lock feature enabled, whilst still in the car you can open the windows to the desired level then press the car lock icon on the screen. Now you can get out and the car will automatically lock when you close the door, but the windows will stay open where you left them.

On Android, just about any app can be used that offers to send a location to other apps. The Tesla app registers as a navigation provider, so you can send an address from your contacts app, a location from Maps, a location from OSMAnd and possibly others. In my experience it works quite well.
As long as it’s a person sitting in a seat the vehicle will stay on. If it’s an animal or something else to keep cool or warm, use Dog Mode or Climate Keep.
The #18, being able to switch gears without having come to a full stop, that is not a Tesla- or EV-only thing.. I could do that on my ICE car, so I was worried my Tesla wouldn't be able to do it.. Luckily it can..
Well it’s some stuff that most people don’t know about unless they read pages of instructions or play around with. So it’s not the opposite of Easter egg but either way it’s helpful
An "Easter egg" in the context of software and digital media refers to a hidden feature, message, or inside joke that is intentionally placed by the creators. These surprises are often concealed within the software, games, movies, or other media, and they typically require some effort or specific actions to discover. The term draws from the traditional Easter egg hunt, where eggs are hidden for children to find. - ChatGPT 4o
@@alonsomendoza1775 good catch! I caught that wording mistake when editing but left it. Still a little more convenient than looking and taping on the screen.

What map app are you specifically using? I can’t duplicate that one.
@@raffly4449 I shared the location from my old iPhone’s default mapping. I’m guessing most major map apps will have this share feature.
