was this M3P built in USA?
@@philipf2705 That dude is a clown
God forbid this guy took delivery if a dodge or gm. This video would be 90 minutes.
Atleast their accelerator pedals don't get stuck and send you barreling at full throttle
@@andrettransformerToyota in 2010: 👀
@@andrettransformer Ford recall 2012 👀
@@andrettransformer are you implying that regularly happens with Tesla? Because that would be absolute bullsh1t
@@andrettransformeryou can still use the breaks if that were to happen. And it was only on cybertruck. If you know you had cybertruck before recall just take the pedal cover off easy problem solved.
You need to see the alignment of the door trim of a Dodge Challenger. It’s insane how off it is. And EVERY Challenger is like that.
Every time I see the taillights on one of them they are NEVER aligned.
@@THExKINGxKINGx And yet, no one ever talks about them. It drives me mad how bad the alignment is on those cars
American cars are all build like junk. They still cant build cars to this day.
I had some of the same problems as you on delivery day. I ended up with 11 problems on my list but this car is still SUBSTANTIALLY better than my 2019.
Needs to be a recall for the turn signals, it's such a common and potentially dangerous problem
Agreed !!!!!!
I'm hoping they redo the wheel with physical buttons and offer free retrofits
Never had this issue with the stalks in my Model 3.
I have that problem with my model X as well. It’s a safety issue.
Totally agree!
I received my car ten days ago, and instead of having it delivered to my home, I went to the dealership to pick it up. I thought it would be easier to complain if there were any issues with the car. When I arrived, there were two Model 3 Performances, and one of them was mine.
I inspected the car multiple times, nearly for an hour, while other buyers of Model 3 and Model Y, who came later than me, drove their cars home.
I determined there were no issues and drove home. But when I go over bumpy roads, I hear a rattle sound from somewhere on the passenger side, haha.
And I just checked the taillight after watching your video, and my car also has a gap on the passenger side...
Fortunately, there are no other issues. But I can't figure out exactly where the rattle sound is coming from. I usually always listen to music when I drive, so it doesn't bother me much, but when my kid falls asleep and I turn off the music, the noise is really annoying!
I hope I find and eliminate that noise. And I wish all your issues get resolved smoothly.
It is probably a Seat belt bottom plastic piece which is rattling. Fasten your passenger seat belt when no one is seating. You won’t hear anything.
I have about 400 miles on my 2024 M3P and have had it for a week. I’ve not had any issues with turn signals or other features that I’ve noticed. Only thing that I found wrong on delivery was just a minor scratch/chip on the rear bumper diffuser
I went to pick up my M3P last week. Before I walked out to inspect it, the sales rep told me they found “a scratch” on the bumper. It turned out to be a 5 inch wide dent with a dozen little scratches on the dent. I declined delivery because it would have to be sent to a body shop to replace the bumper. I was pretty upset Tesla didn’t tell me ahead of time before I drove 2 hours to pick it up. The back of the car was also pretty dirty (white exterior) so even if it had more blemishes it would be hard to tell. Now I’m waiting for another VIN, but don’t know the timeline. I’m curious if others would have declined to accept delivery or just opted to have the bumper replaced by Tesla. Declining is a huge hassle with outside insurance and financing because they were both based on the prior VIN.
There is no way that I would want anything repaired and/or repainted on my brand new car, because years later the new paint never wears the same as the factory paint does.
The turn signal thing and squeaky armrest would drive me nuts...
Do you have any issues with your ambient lighting? I am waiting on my order to arrive. However I have seen in several new builds the ambient lights look like they have bubbles/cracking occurring.
Having same issue with turn signals. Loud squeaking from front driver side on rougher roads that I need to take it in for but other than that everything has been good on new M3P. My front underside doesn't look like yours in the video, nothing hanging down on mine.
A good example of fixing something and breaking something else is: On both of my vehicles, not Teslas, when they went in for air bag recalls panels were not perfectly put back properly, rattles in the dash emerged, on one vehicle that I could visibly inspect behind the glove compartment was a missing screw. Never take your car in for any super minor issue if you can help it. Mechanics are mostly very heavy handed in most dealerships and will take shortcuts to speed things along.
I have the same problem with the turn signals which sucks. Sometimes I’m trying to hit the turn signal and nothing happens as I try and try again. =\
They should just make those physical buttons, if they don’t want them to fial like that
This should be a physical recall. It’s a safety concern. I love my refresh but this is ridiculous
Maybe that explains why so many Tesla drivers around me in California often don't use turn signals. I drive an R8 Spyder, a car that is more expensive than any model Tesla and because of my AMS Performace tune, it is quicker than every Tesla other than the Plaid. Yet somehow I so often seem to encounter Tesla drivers who actually look my way as if I should envy them.
One guy in Malibu, in the Ralphs parking lot, decided to park in the red, right next to the entrance. I couldn't move forward until the opposing lane traffic passed. I pulled up next to the guy. He lowered his window and turned to me as I honked. I said, "Dude, you look like an intelligent enough man to realize that you're not in a parking spot." Shook my head and moved on after I noticed he was also sitting there reading what looked like the WSJ.
Hey dude hope you are doing well, I wanted to ask you I will be picking up my Tesla model 3 Highland Standard range RWD in 2 days and I wanted to know what is the best charging limit for my situation as within my job I work with my private car so I use on an avrage 150 km a day, what do you think I should set my limit on? thanks
Do you have the same issue with turn signals when in FSD or is it during normal driving? Probably not a huge issue where I live because most people think they are optional anyway
I took deliver of my Ultra Red M3P on 6/25. It was a great experience. The only issue with the car was a scratched front skid plate. It had to happen when they drove the car off the truck. I found it because I used your inspection checklist. I have an appointment for the replacement.
My Tesla Model 3 Performance was delivered on June 18. I did a surface level inspection at the showroom on the day. It was all shiny and new from Fremont, CA. The only flaw I could find was the mounting for the side view mirror. It was not flush with the window. Since this is the same on both sides, I chalked it off as a design flaw. Everything else seems to be OK. I was thinking about getting some PPF applied, but then was quoted $3000+materials for coating from front bumper to A pillar. That is too much.
BTW, your videos are enjoyable to watch and very informative.
I took my 2019 Model 3 into a SC back in March and they had a 2024 Model 3 that they were using for test drives. I was able to drive around in it for 30 minutes and within that time, I noticed the exact same problems you highlighted in this video regarding the turn signals. Sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn't. It was like a "fun" mini-game. Alongside the no stalks, any interest I had in upgrading disappeared pretty quickly. If I decide to get a newer one, I'll either get a 2023 or wait until they do another refresh in the future in hopes they roll back some of these bonkers design choices.
My 2024 Tesla Model 3 Long Range did not have any of these issues. Mine was made in China so not sure if that has anything to do with it. The only issue I had was a creak coming from the lumbar support in my driver seat. The service center fixed the problem promptly and no further issues.
Would u recommend getting the long range over performance model 3 idk which to get
Generally the performance is just better all around. It gets similar range to the LR when you put on smaller wheels.
LR>. It’s the best in the line up. Performance has too many problems
Back in May took delivery of a Model Y and my passenger door also (esp near the top) sticks out just a little. The drivers side is perfectly flush. The door when closed meets the seals as tightly as the drivers side so not sure if it even can be fixed. Decided to just let it go besides if anything sticking out a bit is probably better aerodynamically than the other way around plus in too much could possibly cause a whistling sound. As for the center console noise maybe trying a little baby powder on it?
Anyone else have a slight bubble where the rear speakers are under the rear window? Like behind the backseat headrest area
Is the dog mode figurine worth it? I want to buy it but there’s not enough videos on it
I took delivery of my M3P last week and the one thing that stuck out was the LED strip on the dash being higher where it meets my door LED only on my passenger side. Its super annoying and looks like a step instead of a level horizontal line. Unfortunately I can see the right side of my dash just is isnt flushed to the bottom section of my dash making the LED higher. Im afraid of having Tesla mess with the dash as Im afraid if they need to dismantle the dash, it would cause a squeak or rattle because right now its completely quiet and like you, my biggest fear is having interior rattles or squeaks as Im super sensitive to those things and it would drive me up the wall like it did in my older Model Y that I sold. Im really surprised and shocked that your getting your whole dash replaced! Please update me on how that goes as I would be interested to see how well or bad that repair turns out. Wishing you the best on your repairs bro! Other than that, honestly I love this beast of a car and would definitely buy it again if I had to do it all over again! No regrets here😁
Great video. My New Model 3 Performance had small scratch marks underneath on the front spoiler right side & two impact spots right side on the spoiler. If I wasn't OCD I wouldn't have noticed it. It was like 94 degrees on delivery day with hot asphalt & I inspected my whole car & got down very low to inspect for any scratches. But I didn't notice the scratches until I was in my garage at home & reinspected me car. My car was drove from the dealership to my garage the same day & didn't stop. I suspected the delivery truck did the damage.
Is your Model 3 built in the US? It definitely seems like there are a lot more problems than mine :(
I have a 2024 Model 3P, as well. It was Mfg in Fremont, CA. I also have the turn signal problem with the left turn signal. It is not often, but it does happen.
I think I’ll keep my 2023 M3P. I didn’t have any issues and I really don’t think I will like it without stalks.
@Jeremy, the underside of our front fascia is ripped very similarly to yours. We noticed it at Tesla’s delivery center before signing for our Ultra red M3P and mentioned it to the attendant. And we have an appointment for it to be repaired.
Too many similar to be random road damage. I have the same. Going in the 26th for service.
How do such things get unnoticed at delivery. Where is Tesla^s pre-delivery quality control procedures? I think they off-load the responsibility to the customer. I can remember when I went to pick up my car, I had my Tesla check list and was amazed at all the people walking around their cars holding a check list. Ridiculous but smart from Tesla.
I've had my M3P for 2 weeks in Australia and only issue is the wireless phone chargers not working.
Everything you've mentioned in the video is thankfully fine on mine.
I have a 2024 LR experiencing both issues with the turn signals and armrest they’re common issues on the refresh 3 not just performance all trims
you can fix that C pillar with a rubber mallet and 5 minutes. you can also realign your door yourself with a socket wrench. why wait for a service appointment and potentially new damage?
Turn signals might be end user issue. I noticed you just poking the buttons with the tip of the finger which for digital buttons that provide some haptic feedback back is not optimal knowing this I rest my thumb on the Same buttons and have yet to have a turn signal fail me. But maybe I’m wrong.
I also have the same little chip on the C pillar where it meets the trunk lid. I’m just going to touch it up myself, because I know how sloppy tesla service can be. We had a headlight replaced on our model S under warranty and it came back with surface scratches all over the front fender. Looks like they were leaning over the fender while taking out the headlight. (Jet black paint shows every little scratch & swirl mark.)
It’s not worth bothering with Tesla service for small cosmetic issues.
I’ve now had a Tesla loaner longer than I’ve had my new 2024 Model 3 LR. Several I ssues with the paint. It’s black and in sunlight there were 5 places around the vehicle where fifty cent piece size grey spots would appear. It was under the clear coat. Additionally the front driver’s side wheel clicked at low speeds. And finally there was a rattle in the headliner. They had the car for two weeks. Upon receiving it back the car was filthy: dusty interior, finger prints on windows and glass, dirty foot prints and gravel/rocks in front seat floor mats. All was fixed but there were 2 new issues with the paint and the trim on the driver side door (the part the sits along the widow) just lifts off with your fingers - it’s no longer anchored in place. Such a disappointing services experience. Still love the car but would love some attention to detail and care.
Got my car back and all issues have been addressed. /phew
1000 miles in 2024 m3p from Shanghai and there are zero problems with mine. I guess I'm lucky because the build quality is perfect.
Im happy that EU gets Shanghai M3s. Mine is premium build. It’s literally perfect. I love it
Same, I tried very hard to find something but I couldn't
You used "literally" incorrectly. Nothing can truly be perfect.
I would argue that the LG battery is not perfect for the M3P ;-), but congrats on 98% perfect.
Same here in Australia, my M3P (10days old) is perfect!😊
My friend bought Shanghai M3 and it is also perfect, he went over it with a fine-tooth comb.
I got the same exact car and had multiple issues. There was a crease in the body of the trunk (idk how that could happen), both front seats were stitched with a crease in them so they are both getting replaced, the light bar on the inside doesn’t line up well where the front doors meet the dash, and I had the same door and trim misalignment as you. For a first time Tesla owner and spending 50k on a car, I was expecting it to be closer to perfect than what it was. Not a good first impression of build quality from Tesla.
Did I miss it? The turn signal issue "is within spec"? No way. I'm having the same issue, although it's been better in the last couple of drives. It was really bad when I first got it, I'm 500 miles in.
my M3P had trunk misalignment, the driver window fell off after 2 weeks ( had to replace two doors, frames + window ) and the seats came ripped. it's still in the service center :))
My question is, do people who buy ICE cars do this same type of inspection? Are there no issues with a Ford or Mazda?
I have a question or I guess a statement…as someone who’s about to get a model X and basically Tesla for the 1st time…why does the consumer have to look for all these panel gaps and things on delivery checklist? Tesla should have a quality control team at the dealership that handles all of this on delivery day (maybe they do idk)
How are your vented seats? I feel like my seats are not cool.
So for some reason the “coldness” of the seats are linked to the hcav temp. You really only get cold at 65 (18C) and below.
Just wondering is there a reason you’ve had three Model 3’s? Three cars over the span of it’s 6 year production run seems like a lot
My biggest peeve is I haven’t gotten my registration packet from them yet. I had to go to the dmv myself to extend the temporary tags and registration.
UPS lost mine for like 2 weeks and then it randomly showed up.
Very few complaints for me. Turn signals can be annoying but I knew that before I ordered. Two minor (inconsistent) rattles inside the super quiet interior… front vent and rear deck…. Seems to be from vibration when stereo is loud. I am certain I can diy fix it but no hurry.. might take it in and have them fix it. 🤔
Only two issues a month of using my M3P: (1) For some reason the arcade apps refused to download. I took it into Tesla service and they were able to resolve the issue after a day. (2) Turn indicators can randomly jam. It's rare but annoying when it happens. Pressing harder or off center will get past the jam.
Otherwise, I feel fortunate with my instance. It's such a joy to drive I want to accessorize and make the most of it.
More of a nitpick-the vented seat holes are a magnet for dust / dandruff. So probably not as easy to keep clean as previous gen.
about to order mine here within the month... i cannot decide if i should go white or black interior... someone sway me
Tesla must have gotten a really good deal on led bulbs on Temu!
Love your channel. And yep left turn signal was my biggest issue. Same as you showed in your video.
Besides the turns signals and weird looking interior lights my M3P came out pretty nice with no squeaks and misaligned panels. I can’t lie I feel like others got it worse than me tbh. My blue on black is pretty much perfect. I love that thing man. Though u saying it’s not a luxury car gave me a wake up call. $57k that’s def luxury car price 😅
But side note: running 10.9’s in 1/4’s and being faster than 99% of cars on the road is def a great feeling that we share 👍🏽 I like your stuff man keep it up
Maybe there is a good mobile mechanic that can get your body damage serviced before ppf and you can supervise the work.
I have the exact issue with the passenger side tail light, it's a bit of a bummer, but it does not bother me too much. The car is a joy to drive. Did our first road trip (Marin county to Orange county) last weekend. Supercharger station in Bakersfield was 112F with no shade...lol. We had a blast though! Two stops each trip. Took delivery 6-22
Im experiencing the same exact thing with my RWD highland, glad to see i'm not alone. Hope theres some sort of update/recall that fixes it.
I own an M3 LR AWD, and I've been experiencing issues with the turn signals, particularly the left one. When I need to use it, I often have to press the opposite button to get it to respond correctly. I believe this is something that could be addressed with a software update to improve their responsiveness. Until then, I'll manage with the current situation. The car is extremely quiet and performs well overall. Thank you for all your informative videos.
I took delivery of my model y performance just over a month ago. Went on a road trip 2 days after and the front aero shield and front fascia came loose, started dragging on the highway making a loud sound inside and eventually a chunk of it broke off. Called the service center near my destination and they replaced it that next day no cost. And a few weeks ago i had the trunk lid taillight replaced due to excessive condensation when it rained. Tesla service came to my house for that so it wasn’t an inconvenience at all. Also the interior drives side trim has a gap where it meets the trim on the dashboard compared to the passenger side, but i don’t care much about that. I overall love the car but had a few hiccups with it😭😭😭
Picked up my 2024 LR about two weeks ago and I have none of the issues you mentioned on this video. Even the center control seems pretty solid on my car. There was two VERY small paint “dimples” that you really have to look for to actually notice. One of which I noticed on delivery day and the other that my ceramic / tint guy pointed out. But to be totally honest, these are so damn small I’ll probably have pain chips bigger than these two imperfections. No big deal. I find this build so much more solid than the 2021 LR I gave back on a lease, and that car didn’t have really any paint issues or bad panel gaps.
Was thrilled to get my 2024 Model 3P on May 26, but there was some major quality issues. 2 service visits so far, with the first causing damage to the interior and will need a 3rd visit. Tint shops screwed up more than twice. PPF shops screwed up by melting and cutting into my headlights, potentially breaking tabs on side cameras. After a month of this, I think to myself I should’ve done it myself, but everyone says warranty is what I paid for with new
After the last ppf shop ripped paint on my front bumper, I'm just doing it myself this time.
Having the same issues with turn signals. Using my M3P for Uber and everyone is enjoying it! Car is overall amazing.
These seem like really nit picky stuff except with the turn signals not working which my 2024 also has a problem. I am guessing that the issue is software-related because it occurs only sometimes. It sometimes becomes a safety issue so I hope Tesla addresses it at some point.
Turn signal buttons are a little sticky and sometimes hard to activate
My passenger side leds have cracks on them
I have the refreshed M3 LR and it has been more than 3 months and the car is perfect. No squeaks rattles or creaks. Build quality is much better than prior. So far my turn indicators on steering wheel work fine no issues as of yet. I love my car it puts a smile on my face every time I get to drive it
Luckily my armrest doesn't due this on my refreshed M3 LR or that would drive me nuts 😮😮
Imagine taking your car into the service center for a "squeaky armrest"
My charge port wouldn't latch...after 2 mobile service guys came out and couldn't fix it , I had to take it in. But all good now.
Your last performance is what made me purchase mine…is there a regret in upgrading with this experience?
If they weren’t going with a turn signal stalk, why not just put the button to turn left on the left side of steering wheel and right on right? That would solve the issue if u could feel each side with each thumb. Simple solution
Did you get an answer of how Tesla is going to fix the lightening?
So what are they doing about the squeaky armrest?
100% the turn signal buttons are capacitive on a moving panel. So many people keep mis-reporting that it's "physical buttons"
Tesla owners think having your car not being built correctly is a minor issue
Non Tesla owners thinking their cars are perfect. We Tesla owners have seen both sides.
@@shou635 My mother in law just picked up a brand new Lexus (she works at the plant so no convincing her to get an EV) and I did a quality check on it. Found uneven panel spacing, flexing material, and other issues. Every new car is going to have issues. People just love to put Tesla under a microscope because they're new. At the same time I believe putting them under that microscope is why the refresh 3 is such an improvement over the previous. There's a balance.
Wait until you get any hand-built British sports car like Mclaren or Aston Martin. You'll realize that no car is built perfectly. You just notice it more when the price goes up... And since there's no engine or transmission (or in fact tons of other moving parts and components) on a Tesla there's nothing else to complain about...
@@nikimaslarski2805 You're talking about apples and oranges. Not even Honda or Kia come with so many cosmetic issues. If you've ever owned Mc or AM then you would know that there is no such thing as a bad factory paint job in that range of cars. No bad fit. No poor stitching. YES, British brands have issues but not these kinds of issues.

While all new cars should be perfect, many aren't. Not sure if Tesla is any worse than any other brand, but what is different is the degree of scrutiny that these cars receive. As someone who has owned lots of cars over the past 50 years I've experience a wide range of issues. While my 2019 Model 3 had some very minor imperfections, they were certainly no worse than any of the other cars I had purchased in the past 20 years. This included models from GM, Toyota, Honda/Acura, Subaru, and Ford. What was notably different from all the other vehicles I purchased was that the Tesla had zero major issues. By comparison my Corvette needed new rings, had an unfixable fuel gauge issue, leaking diff, etc. The Toyota pickup had horrific piston slap when cold and had a habit of throwing fan belts. The Prius experienced a complete failure of the heating/cooling system and a failed catalyst....in addition to exterior plastic parts that started decomposing after 3 years. The Subaru was actually one of the best, but it had AC that was never really cold, and nobody could fix it. The Hondas all had issues including a leaking power steering pump, a failed fuel pump, and loss of power much beyond 100k miles. The Ford was probably the worst, with gauge issues, knocking, leaking main seal, etc.
By comparison the Tesla experience no serious issues and required no maintenance.
Current Toyotas have huge issues including V8s with bottom end failures, V6s with bottom end failures, Tacomas with transmission overheating and debilitating failures, and poor panel gaps. To make matters worse, Toyota has no spares available. This in addition to Toyota having been caught cheating on fuel economy, emissions, and safety submissions.
By comparison, Tesla's biggest issue was with the aluminum accelerator pedal cover coming loose....and wiper issues on the Cybertruck. If Tesla had anything close to the problems that Toyota has had in the past 6 months there would be riots in the streets. Instead there are videos about paint imperfections and panel gaps.
While none of this excuses the issues your 2024 car has had, it does seem that there is a double standard here.
The only thing you need to know is that having no stalks sucks, but all the great things about the model 3 makes it the best ev on the market.
Thanks for the video! I just got a Y. Is condensation normal after a car wash in between the glass in the drivers and passengers doors?
Plus what style color is your spoiler? Matte or gloss carbon? I bought a matte one and it doesn’t look good. So I returned it.
Yea it’s normal in my model 3
My M3 2024 is fine. No complaints. Great car so far.
put some miles on it then come back here
Who asked tho
As an Australian who’s owned a Fremont 2020 Model 3 LR and now a 2022 Giga Shanghai Model 3 LR. The build quality is light years ahead from Shanghai, the one complaint is the trim has been rattling from day 1. And while they have definitely improved it, in contrast, the Highland M3P it seemed perfect in this regard.
No reason to cancel my M3P 2024 order?
Just don’t scratch the dashboard the first day lol
I test drove 2 refresh model 3 and 1 model X. One of model 3 had very chatty armrest and the second one had misaligned door by about half inch visible from inside. X had broken seat and FWD that didn't close on a first try.
Considering how service center is treating us, I went ahead and cancelled the order of X. Tesla need to step it up :/
100% on the turn signals, I find if you rest your thumb on the button it won’t work until you lift it off and press again.
Had a Toyota fixed under recall and genuine dealer, and it came back with scratches all over the paintwork. Complained and they said must have been the protective mats picked up some small sand/rocks. They gave me the run around. Can have a bad experience anywhere.
isn''t there a free delivery day checklist on reddit?
Jeremiah, you have a great grasp of what's important when you buy a Tesla. I have a 2018 Dual Motor Model 3 and I love the car very much. I had to wait years to get my car and it was reserved online an hour before its reveal to the world. It came with a couple of fish eyes on the hood very close to the Tesla emblem. I really wanted to refuse the car and wait for another, but they told me that I'd have to lose my place inline, pay the current prices and loose my lifetime free data. I accepted the delivery and for the first week I had terrible anxiety about the paint and what other things might be bad that were not known yet. The car had only been out to the public for about six months and it was the time of production hell in Fremont when Elon was sleeping at the factory. The small things really don't matter of the long run.
My nearest service from what I know yet is around 12 hours away. Good news one is opening around 4 to 5 hours away
My 2022 M3P has turn signal issues, it’s not a real stalk either but I just live with it. 😂
Do other people ppf all cars they get Audi VW Ford etc ?
I have the nearly identical issue with the front passenger valance / splashguard on my M3P. Looks like a tear to me as well, not something designed.
I took this into service today. The technician states "The piece is originally glued on, it is peeling on both sides. Rather than replace the valance and perhaps see this happen again, I used plastic/rubber weld to ensure they will not peel again. First got it adhered in place, then removed the front wheel well and bonded the entire piece from the backside." Seems as though it may be a relatively common manufacturing defect for now, but I would assume they will get it corrected on the line soon if not already.
Shame on Tesla for not having their own people do pre-inspection on all their vehicles prior to someone receiving them. I ordered my model Y in 2021 during the pandemic and got it one year later exactly. And because of your videos and others like you I was able to do a pre inspection on my model Y flawlessly. “ no problems at all “ I hope everything works out for you the way you want it to. Thx for the content.
My front passenger underneath has the same issue as your. I reported it and have an appointment scheduled for July 24th. Lets see what they will say /do!
I find it somewhat comical that people in the comment section are proving what I said within the first 10 seconds. It’s definitely not nitpicking that my TURN SIGNALS don't work. You can like or even love Tesla and still be critical on their shortcomings. Being a yes men doesn’t help the company. It’s because of people that are willing to be vocal about their criticism that we got this MUCH BETTER built refresh. And lastly, the car overall is great and i love it as my daily, don’t listen to the Qs that will try to convince you otherwise. I don’t gain anything from talking negatively. I am just genuinely relaying my experience.
Turn signals buttons need to work properly. For those wanting stalks, should try out the 3rd party options.
Tesla bots, cultists and shareholders will defend Tesla till their last breath. Clearly there is some things that aren't "in spec" on your brand new performance. The turn signals issue is just too funny, they should have kept the stalks or at least have buttons that don't stick, kinda dangerous and frustrating. Anyways, hope you get those issues fixed and enjoy it for what it is and don't focus too much on the bots and cult.
You are helping to perpetuate the mainstream media FUD that Tesla build quality is garbage compared to other vehicle manufacturers. That’s why we are criticizing your video. Nitpick any other car and your list will be much longer.
Honestly, if Tesla only had yes men like you we’d have never gotten the much better put together refresh that we did.
@@JremiahJones I am not a yes man, just someone who appreciates Tesla. I also am sick and tired of people constantly bashing the most innovative company on the planet. And finally, I am not a whiny spoiled kid.
I'm really sorry to hear you are having a few cosmetic issues. You are correct about vehicles undergoing exterior refreshes..sometines the first runs will have the most growing pains. I know you are aware of this, so I'm just a little confused about your video.
I did not get the performance, I stuck with my LR. I just got it june 27, and its tinted, front PPF only, and Modesto coated.
It could be the fact that Tesla had more time to hone their skills ,because my M3LR has none of your listed concerns. No under belly damage. No trim issues. Heck, the front bumper is so tight fitting I can't get my finger nail in the grove. I compared it to my friends 911...its just a tight as his 911. The rear bumper is the same...super tight. I was super impressed with everything.
Like I said it's possible a fresh run had a learning curve to work on.
The under belly seems like it was damaged when being unloaded. Just a thought.
Hope you get all your concerns resolved. I personally love my M3LR. Went with white paint and white interior...and it qualified for the tax credit due to the long wait.
What year is your m3?
More reason to lease correct ?
Mines is perfect I love it. I used small see-through rubber stickers for signals... I have zero complaints absolutely perfect
If all that has to be done to a car I don’t consider it to be new I’d decline delivery and ask for another model 3 sending it to a body shop was the last straw for me.
Videos like this are very important for people waiting for delivery. Kudos!
have the same car and none of your issue, i think the factory in China works better than the American one 😅
Yes, Model 3 China build is way way beter in terms of quality from the factory. USA build Teslas are dramatically bad. Panel gaps etc etc etc.
Just got my new Model 3. The only complaint I have is there is a rattle when the bass is a bit heavy on some music.....
I'm gonna fix it once I find the location.
Too many people nitpick these cars compared to other brands. Plastic cars....this is what you get with mass production vehicles. Go with Porshe or Lambo's if you want hand made with little robot manufacturing.
I wouldn’t send it in to a body shop for that. If they have to paint the pillar, it will no longer be factory painted and even if they match it well it will most likely age differently over time.
I've been researching and watching Tesla for the past 2 yrs in hopes of getting a Model 3 P next year. It kills me that you have to inspect a brand new car to make sure it was built right. If you buy a fully loaded Mitsubishi Mirage it will be built perfectly, but good luck on one of the most advanced cars on the road. Craziness.
I bought a 2024 Model Y Performance and even though I would have loved the extra acceleration of the M3P, the M3P's lack of stalks alone is enough to make me think I made the better decision buying the MYP.
Moral of the story: if you find issues you can't live with, reject it.
Sounds like good dating advice
