I appreciate all the automatic features. Essentially, I just need to get in and drive. There is no need to lock or unlock, rarely any need to touch the headlights, no need to operate the windshield wipers, and on most trips, I seldom touch the brake. There is no need to "start" the car, nor to shift it out of park. It even initiates the GPS if it predicts I am heading to work or home. I simply open the door, sit down, close the door, press the gas pedal, and steer.. oh yeah, and start the radio. =)
I had "Avoid Tolls" turned on because I live like a mile away from a toll road and wanted to see how I would get to destinations without it. Unfortunately, I forgot to turn it off before a road trip and found myself in downtown Baltimore with a bunch of driving around that didn't make sense. Once I realized what was going on I was ok but it was so aggravating. I won't make that mistake again!

Tesla has easy to follow instructional videos on all these features. Tesla should show you where the videos are and leave you to train yourself so you only ask questions about things that confuse you.

I love to leave my wipers on auto. This way they randomly come on and don’t when it rains. Never tried chill mode. I’m chilling when I feel great acceration
@ms3er396 it can be tricky sometimes especially in stop and go. That's when Tesla recommends using chill. I think it helps driver fatigue and a small reduction in energy usage due to its more conservative nature
A few hours ago I was on Autosteer beta (AP?)just getting off the 24 and the wipers went off, the car slowed and the steering wheel jiggled. I had my hands on the wheel and my passengers thought I was messing around.
My experience with the Tesla wipers is that they frequently do whatever it is that I want them to not be doing. Swiping and chattering on a dry windshield, refusing to wipe a very wet windshield, etc. My 2016 F150 has much better automatic wipers than my Tesla does.
The pin to drive I would definitely recommend you turn that on, IMO. If you accidentally leave your phone in the car (I have done that a couple of times by accident) it gives you two factor authentication for your car since they will need to have that also, without that nothing keeping them from stealing your car.
If you leave your phone in the car…how is it locking when you walk away? Your comment makes no sense. If your lock chime does not go off…you should be curious why.
@@williamgrunzweig571 Sometimes the street is loud, sometimes I don't pay attention when I'm in a hurry. Either way both I & my wife have done it quite a few times. But pin to drive makes sure no one could take off with it or put it into tow mode. It also prevents car jacking even if the phone is still in the car. It makes perfect sense.
Oh, remember to turn off the wind shield wiper off every time you use cruise control. Or it will phantom wipe dust and scratch the window constantly. Also, the phantom auto brakes very often on narrow roads meeting trucks, large vehicles.
Leave it on. Cruise control (Auto pilot) uses the front camera & sometimes the glass in front of it gets dirty. When the car needs visibility it wipes.
Regarding the option to clear browser cache: I had an issue in which software updates will download up to 50% to 80% and then die, issue was there was no memory available due to cache being full, the only way to fix this was to send the car for service. Perhaps the option to clear browser cache will help with this issue? (assuming this will also clear software download cache).
We need cruise control with absolutely zero automatic braking or lane keep warning. The phantom braking and random cruise speed adjustments are maddening, can I just set the car to 70mph and go down the road without it slamming on the brakes or deciding its better to slow down to 40mph for no reason?
While in Auto Pilot I always keep my foot on the accelerator in heavy traffic and often continuously override its more cautious tendencies allowing me to maintain the distance I want to the vehicle in front. Then when I’m happy to let it take over again I stop pressing on the accelerator and simply monitor what it’s doing. Never let the dumbest but steadiest member of your driving team take 100% control and complain when it does something stupid while your brain is out of the loop. A partnership where you need to know what it cannot do.
@ AutoPilot consists of Cruise to control speed and AutoSteer. Tesla is 100% clear that you are 100% responsible; people not understanding its abilities is what causes all these senseless crashes; the worst example was the guy watching a movie prior to his well earned decaptiation. AutoPilot does 99% of the work which I use 70% of the time. Think of it as your teenage nephew with no experience but smart and fastidious to understand simple instructions. He cannot optimize car position, vehicle spacing and see dangers ahead but you can with your years of experience so why would you hand complete control over to your nephew and then yell at him when he makes a mistake. It’s a team effort where AutoPilot does 99% of the work for you. Don’t mistake your need to do you 1% and to monitor what its doing by paying MORE attention to the road not LESS which you can accomplish because you’ve been unburdened by the monotonous bits most of the time.
I personally keep mine at 65% daily, and also use only about 20%. But it's nice to have the slight piece of mind that if there is more traffic than expected, or I need to make an unexpected detour, that I have the slightly extra battery to get there.
Yes. I charge at home and keep my charge limit at 50% unless I am planning a longer trip. There is a really good Engineering Explained video about optimizing your NMC battery life. Search RUclips for, “Engineering Explained NMC battery life” - it is 12:53.
Ben, depending on where you are roadtripping, setting it to 100% might be a mistake in terms of total trip time given the way the battery charge rate slows as it approaches full. More charging stops, with shorting charging times may be optimal for total travel time. Setting at 100% might impact the route planning algorithm.
Nice video for those considering moving to a Tesla. I am interested in the new Juniper for the possibility of PowerShare w/LFP batteries to backup my home grid, faster charging & more range. Will probably take FSD subscription to see how it works for my trips. Finally, I hope it has the full wrap around ligh bar in front.
I just bought my 2nd Tesla (Y) ahead of Juniper because all the discounts I can get at the moment. My sister is buying one too. When Trump takes office a lot of discounts would disappear. The Juniper line up would remove all the stalks which is a move I absolutely hate. My cars are most for commute so as long as the rage is 300+ miles it's fine for me. P.s. You get a 1 month free FSD trial when you buy a new Tesla. Cheers.
Obstacle aware acceleration should be off IMO. It's only useful if you're driving and not paying attention to what's in front of you. I've had several times where it incorrectly detected an object in front of me thereby preventing me from accelerating at a stop. Made it dangerous when I was trying to cross an intersection with cars going both ways.
Hi, at 4:10 to limit charging to 80 percent. I assume that is because you do not have an LFP battery? As I thought that for an LFP battery it is best to charge it to 100 percent as much as possible
No, with an LFP battery you should not charge to 100% “as much as possible“. You only need to charge to 100% once a week or so in order to keep the system calibrated. It’s still better to keep the battery at the lowest state of charge most of the time.
If you have a LFP battery I highly recommend you watch the Engineering Explained video on best practices for LFP battery longevity. Search RUclips for “Engineering Explained LFP battery.” The video is 18:15.
I really wish there was a way to set a preferred miles remaining@supercharger arrival for long trips... Sometimes, it plans for me to arrive with the EV equivalent of driving with the needle on "E"
I don’t like having the “trip planner” supercharger option on. Went from Phoenix to Vegas with a stop in Kingman to use the chargers there. Because “trip planner” was on, it wanted me to stop at every charger between here and Kingman. And once I past the charger I didn’t want to use, navigation kept wanting to me to hang a U-turn to get back to that charger, instead of telling me how long to Kingman, etc.
Been doing long road trips for years. Like you mentioned, sometimes the planner wants to do a bunch of short charges, I've found that cancelling navigation and restarting it after an 80%+ charging session will sort it out. But overall the trip planner is great for general driving, knowing that the car will never let itself get below 10% state of charge.
I do not know if Tesla does this, but it would be convenient if your settings can be linked to a profile that you can use when ever you drive any Tesla. Especially when you get a new one. I do not have a Tesla but I hate getting a new phone or pc and having to get everything setup the way I use to have it.
Tesla does in fact already do this. It is especially convenient when you take it in for service (tire rotation, repair, brake checks, vehicle inspection, etc.) and they give you a loaner and all your settings automatically sync with your profile.
@@JJSmith1100 Unfortunately, no. FSD is tied to the vehicles vin number and as such it won’t transfer that. The only time FSD can be transferred is when Tesla are offering FSD transfers themselves.
For auto apply brakes when regen braking is limited. I personally turn that off recently due to colder weather regen is limited I don’t want the vehicle to use brakes. Just long term just trying to save on that. You do need to prepare more to stop depending on climate and how conditioned the battery is. It doesn’t only matter when vehicle is full on charge!
They removed the feature that enables you to use adaptive cruise control with one click and FSD with two clicks. At least in my 2022 MY. I’m really bummed and hope they bring it back.
I own my model 3 2019 Tesla and I still don't know how to in the software to turn off lane change while I am driving in the city which is causing me a lot of problems so if you know how to turn off lane change in the city please let me know because I can't find it in my car.
Smart summon enabled. I turned this off today. This seems like the possible cause of phantom drain on my new model 3 long range. 4-6% daily. Since turning it off, the widget for the Tesla app is now showing the car is staying asleep.
I have full self driving and my cybertruck and can turn off full self driving and turn it back on any time while driving. I have done it many times in the same trip
I exclude home for the auto trunk open. I back into my garage (puts driver's door closest to kitchen door), but I have a work bench at the back of the garage, so without 'exclude at home', the trunk is constantly emitting pre-opening sounds when I'm working at the bench.
Auto wiper sucks. On older models with stalks, press the left stalk button to activate wipers and select speed with the scroll button. Not sure if I agree with removing the stalks, but I’ve never driven the stalkless models yet.
Anyone have a tip on climate control for the colder climate times of the year[live in the Midwest]...I know someone has suggested to switch 'Auto' off in the climate settings but that still doesn't stop windows & Windshield fogging, the defogging option consumes too much power. Thanks.
He’s saying this as an example for the everyday over who probably is buying a long range over a performance. Chill mode can also be helpful for new drivers ease into the pedal in a safe manner other than a burst of acceleration that could be unsuspecting
@@benjimc1 I bet, I’ve only test drove a friends 18’ M3 LR RWD for a brief minute but with the mixture of regen and power my movements were definitely jerky
Yeah it's just too much power you have to be quite careful with your inputs. Chill mode is still plenty good at 7 seconds 0-60 that's still sports car territory. Perfectly fine for daily driving.
1] Wiper ON! Na that thing is possessed by the Deadpool daemon! :) 2] Hand free trunk , is this not on Model Ys? cant seem to find that. 3] I want Avoid Freeways! :)
it’s cruise control that adapts based on the car n front of you. so if you set it to 70 and you come up on a car going 65 you will go 65 it just won’t plow into them. most cars have this
Model Y with stalks *does* let you re-engage FSD while driving if you've turned it off by braking or steering override. A single down click on right stalk will turn it back on.
Something you may want to look into is the wifi usage if your car is hooked into your home router. I discovered mine likes to upload about 10GB a day in shadow mode video data. I did a double take last month when it uploaded 300GB over a 30 day period. Thankfully my internet doesn't have a data cap, but I could see that being a real problem for those ISPs with data caps.
That is very strange, I've never heard of Tesla uploading videos to anything. What would it be uploading? I mean, the videos for sentry mode are stored locally on the USB in the glove box, and it isn't supposed to send them to your phone unless there is a significant threat.
@@ProXcaliber Simply put, Tesla uses video data to train FSD; a truly mind boggling amount of it. FSD is a technical marvel and there's some very deep rabbit holes you can go down. If you're interested, about an hour into the Tesla AI Day 2022 presentation they cover FSD development. From there, there's thousand of hours of community deep dives into the software, hardware 3 computers, Dojo and other super computer training stacks, shadow mode data collection, etc.
@@platniumdr I don't know, I checked my network after writing my original comment, and it doesn't appear mine does that. I do, however, have sentry mode turned off at home, and I have all the settings for sending anonymous data turned off in the vehicle settings. Maybe try that? Because mine does not send that amount of data over my network.
@@ProXcaliber I'm not worried about the data, just mentioning it so people are aware. It's not uploading sentry video, you seem to be pretty stuck on that.
@@platniumdr I mentioned sentry mode because that tends to keep the car awake and in standby mode, which could lead to it sending a lot of data back and forth to the internet. But if you read carefully, I also mentioned that there is a setting in your car where you can turn off the sending of anonymous data. I guess you glossed over that part, seeing as you only care about the fact that I mentioned sentry mode. Either way, I have both of these things turned off in my car, and it doesn't send anywhere near that amount of data through my home network. According to my router, in the last month it has sent approximately 20 GB of data, and I do recall receiving at least 2 updates within that month.
Do you have a link to a video or article about this? My understanding was that to maximize NMC battery life was to minimize the depth of discharge and keep it around 50% SoC as much as possible. I haven’t heard of any sort of steering issues that would necessitate a full charge periodically to address.
@@AnotherInternetRando The battery management circuit would be the about the steering.. also the lithium pherro phosphate battery claims more cycles under a different charging regime.
You know what has bothered me most with Tesla? Is the weakening of regenerative braking. I swear it was a lot stronger when i first got it in 2021. If it’s to ease in people converting to EVs i hate it. It was one of the best things about the car and they took away adjusting the strength.
The adaptive headlights I shut off. They blind the opposite drivers or the ones you drive behind!!!! Then i choose to set my speed myself. The sign recognition is worthless. But....When I set my Autopilot on choose speed at 90kmh.....and the road is 80km. The M3 is breaking hard back to 80KMU!?!?!?!? Its sucks!!!. The autopilot is a prototype compared to a Volvo V60! I have set all warnings OFF...But it breaks also for cars at the other lanes in faint left corners at 100KMH
I've got to be honest, not being able to charge my battery however I want is one of the reasons I won't go electric for a some time. My same complain about phone batteries. Batteries are still the weakest link.
@babolduc 0 seconds ago Lane departure feature is primarily lane drifting hen you don’t signal not going off the road. The green light chime is annoying as it goes off instantly instead of perhaps 1/2 to 3/4 sec after detecting the green. It should be programmable. Wish the self driving wasn’t so wasn’t so abrupt-jerky strewing and stop n go accel from a stop. Love to see a 10-15% lane offset so you’re not in the dead center of a lane. Following distance 4-7? Come on! How about 7-15!
Since we got the same car, does your bottom left button, on right side of steer wheel do anything? Mine does exactly the same as if doing a voice command, I thought it was to adjust the follow distance, when on AP. I still dont know where that setting is.

@Gjeebs I didn't know till today. I have a 2025 model 3, and I got it Monday. Do you know why I wouldn't have smart summon list in my fsd? I live in TN it says it might not be available in my region.

It would have been worse a few months ago before they sort-of-fixed the rain detection algorithm, it was a perennial point of discussion in the UK Tesla owner's Facebook group
I'll tell ya the one thing I cannot figure out how to do, is make it so that I can make one of my key cards be explicitly a guest profile so that if I want someone else to drive I can just hand them that key card, and have them unlock the car and drive on purely a premade guest setting that they can fuck with all they want without messing up any of my stuff. As far as I've experienced, this doesn't work if my phone is within a 960 mile radius of the car, unless I like fully shut the Tesla app out, turn off Bluetooth, turn off my phone, and bury it in aluminum foil. Why is this not like, incredibly easy to achieve? Am I missing some part of this process?
Actually, It's recommended you cycle the battery between 40-60% even on a daily basis if possible. I charge mine to 70% if it's warmer than 42F (5C) and 80% if it's colder than that. I use about 25-30% battery every day. The difference between cycling the battery between 50-80% and 40-70% is 2-3% degradation at 200k miles. I like to have a decent buffer for safety and unplanned trips and can't be bothered to constantly change my charge limit. But the general consensus is: 1. Plugging in all the time is a good thing 2. Cycling between 20-50% is much better than 50-80% even though you're using the same percentage of battery. Packs handle being discharged better than being charged. 2.5 If you've charged to 70% and then used up 20%, it's better to plug in and charge back to 70% than to leave it one more day and discharge to 30% before cycling the battery. Small cycles in the middle of the pack! 3. Keep the battery percentage close to 50% at all times, for example - charge to 70% at night, arrive to work with 55%, come home with 40% and let the car sit plugged in till it's charged again at night. 4. Don't stress a cold battery - drive in CHILL mode during winter months unless you've managed to heat it up with normal driving to where it'll give you the full regen. Then it's warm enough to safely provide the full power without strain.. 5. If you have a car plugged in over night and it's cold, preheat the battery before you drive. 30 minutes is a good estimate. 6. Don't discharge below 10% on a daily basis. 7. Don't supercharge. At all if possible. Home 11kW (3x 230V x 16A EU) or 7kW (single phase 230V x 32A US (honestly idk how you guys have it, I just assume lol) is plenty. Supercharge only for road trips and if possible, only use the bottom part of the pack - 15-70%. You don't have to do all of this, it might seem like such a chore.. but really, most of these are just set and forget and won't hinder your experience. But the difference between you doing this and not could be as much as 5-7% degradation difference at 120k miles. Tesla only claims the battery will give you at least 70% of rated capacity at 120k miles, and people usually get somewhere around 87% with the worse part of the graph in low 80s and the better part in low 90s. Packs don't age linearly and will loose the first 15% faster than the next 5%. You can delay the first 15% with gentle use.
The only disagreement I have is with the "Auto Wipers". WHY? Because I don't like them coming on during bright sunshine :-) As a matter of fact, that is my on complaint with my Tesla
Gjeebs do you find it hard to get out of the model 3 performance seats? Maybe I’m just a short fella but getting over the bottom side bolster I always have to scoot across it and crease it
Why does everyone like the turn signal cancel on lane change? It has the 3 signal flash on the tap, correct? Or is it different than the stalks on the last car. I heard this with the stalk cars. It makes me think no one understands how turn signal controls work on most cars.
It turns off the turn signal when you finish switching lanes. The button can be double tapped to turn off the signal too. Seriously, not having stalks isn’t a big deal.
Auto wipers is the worst feature on new cars but reaches top levels of bad on Teslas as they always come back to auto each time you get back on autopilot. I always keep them off to avoid random wipes when dry which might scratch the windshield with road dust. Hopefully Tesla will find a way to let us keep auto wipers off permanently unless we activate them. Such a stupid feature on modern cars... are we lazy to the point of not wanting to select wiper speeds ourselves? 🙄

He said if you're a weirdo, if you wanna clear your browser data, that's funny as shit
Thwart aka deter, prevent discourage😉 I do ❤ that four finger trick and the green light chime is saving texters all over the world👏🏿
yeah your skills is amazing sir for some people around the globe just let you know
Regarding the option to clear browser cache: I had an issue in which software updates will download up to 50% to 80% and then die, issue was there was no memory available due to cache being full, the only way to fix this was to send the car for service.
@@Tool0GT92 they added an update
While in Auto Pilot I always keep my foot on the accelerator in heavy traffic and often continuously override its more cautious tendencies allowing me to maintain the distance I want to the vehicle in front. Then when I’m happy to let it take over again I stop pressing on the accelerator and simply monitor what it’s doing.
Never let the dumbest but steadiest member of your driving team take 100% control and complain when it does something stupid while your brain is out of the loop. A partnership where you need to know what it cannot do.
@ what’s the point of cruise if you have to leave your foot on the accelerator
@@colingenge9999 , great analogy.
Daily charging to 55% or below is better than charging daily to 80% for NCA battery (M3P). I only need about 20% on daily basis and works for me.
I was talking about when you leave your house you will want to start at 100 obviously you aren’t charging to 100% at each charger along the way
Appreciate the tips! I knew most, but learned a few still 👍🏼
The way you said you showered last night made it sound like it was a once a month achievement 😅😄😄
Excellent overview for a new Tesla owner!
More to come!
Hi, at 4:10 to limit charging to 80 percent. I assume that is because you do not have an LFP battery? As I thought that for an LFP battery it is best to charge it to 100 percent as much as possible
Correct this is a performance model as I said in the video which does not have an LFP battery
2024 Standard Range has a LFP Battery
I think Long Range & Performance still have the LMC battery (Hence 80% recommendation)
Most important setting, _"Fixer Upper - From Frozen."_
I don't have any issues going in and out of FSD via pushing on the right scroll button when the vehicle is moving. I do multiple times on trips
It’s damn cold outside these mornings and I walk from my cars remote parking spot to work wearing my hoodie…look just like you when getting in.
I'd recommend ABRP instead of the Tesla route planner if that is the case for you.
@@ProXcaliber I use that, plus plugshare, to plan my trips.
@@MrDksmall That's great. I just wish Tesla would implement those features into the default nav.
It is especially convenient when you take it in for service (tire rotation, repair, brake checks, vehicle inspection, etc.) and they give you a loaner and all your settings automatically sync with your profile.
yea when I rent a Tesla it’s in my phone app and uploads all my settings right away
@@ProXcaliber Would this include FSD if you have it in your car?
@@JJSmith1100 Unfortunately, no. FSD is tied to the vehicles vin number and as such it won’t transfer that. The only time FSD can be transferred is when Tesla are offering FSD transfers themselves.
@@ProXcaliber That's a pity. It would have been nice if they allowed you to temporarily use it if your car is being repaired.
Great video, you taught me some things.

Just got my first Tesla 2 days ago. This vid is great ! Got any ideas for Good cheap insurance companies?

They removed the feature that enables you to use adaptive cruise control with one click and FSD with two clicks. At least in my 2022 MY. I’m really bummed and hope they bring it back.
For the charge limit does your model have LFP or the std batteries? Mine with LFP I routinely charge to 100% per teslas recommendation.
Right as I said in the video this is a performance model
Pin to drive is important imo in case I accidentally left my phone in the car (happened quite a few times). It also prevents car jacking.
I own my model 3 2019 Tesla and I still don't know how to in the software to turn off lane change while I am driving in the city which is causing me a lot of problems so if you know how to turn off lane change in the city please let me know because I can't find it in my car.
Very practical info! Thank you!
You're welcome!
I also don't have autopilot in the cybertruck. My only choice is full self-driving or off
How do you save all of these preferences? I’d hate to set everything to my specifications, only for them to rest the minute I leave the car.
These settings will stay with your profile. Just make sure you are on your profile and it will stay with you. It saves as soon as you hit the button.
Thanks, great video 👍🏻
Haha! Why would they reset?
Right. I needed to turn on the defroster and so said 'defrost' and got a radio station called defrost!!!!
I exclude home for the auto trunk open. I back into my garage (puts driver's door closest to kitchen door), but I have a work bench at the back of the garage, so without 'exclude at home', the trunk is constantly emitting pre-opening sounds when I'm working at the bench.
Yep great example of why to turn it off for home
Not sure if you know but even if you only have one person in the car, you are allowed to use the HOV lane if you have an EV

Auto wiper sucks. On older models with stalks, press the left stalk button to activate wipers and select speed with the scroll button. Not sure if I agree with removing the stalks, but I’ve never driven the stalkless models yet.
On the ‘24 just hold the windshield wiper button, then can use the left scroll wheel to select the speed.
Not having a stalk isn’t a big deal. I got use to it fairly quickly.
Anyone have a tip on climate control for the colder climate times of the year[live in the Midwest]...I know someone has suggested to switch 'Auto' off in the climate settings but that still doesn't stop windows & Windshield fogging, the defogging option consumes too much power. Thanks.
Why buy a model 3 performance and drive in chill mode? The acceleration is part of the thrill of the car.

it’s cruise control that adapts based on the car n front of you. so if you set it to 70 and you come up on a car going 65 you will go 65 it just won’t plow into them. most cars have this
Model Y with stalks *does* let you re-engage FSD while driving if you've turned it off by braking or steering override. A single down click on right stalk will turn it back on.

Thank you for sharing 👍
I still dont understand we hyvrgey removed the stalks especially on the performance model.
One feature I don't have worry about.... Tesla making the same kind of car commercials as Jaguar's latest one.

I just learned that you shall charge your battery to 100% every 3 weeks to reset the steering mechanism of the battery and as suggested charge to 50%
Do you have a link to a video or article about this?
My understanding was that to maximize NMC battery life was to minimize the depth of discharge and keep it around 50% SoC as much as possible.
I haven’t heard of any sort of steering issues that would necessitate a full charge periodically to address.
@@AnotherInternetRando The battery management circuit would be the about the steering.. also the lithium pherro phosphate battery claims more cycles under a different charging regime.
Standby mode is a battery killer for sure.
You know what has bothered me most with Tesla? Is the weakening of regenerative braking. I swear it was a lot stronger when i first got it in 2021. If it’s to ease in people converting to EVs i hate it. It was one of the best things about the car and they took away adjusting the strength.
yea I agree. in my model 3 performance I use the brakes more. in my 2020 it feels stronger and you can adjust it
The adaptive headlights I shut off.
Just get LFP you can charge it however you want
I plug in about every second day and charge to 100%

Lane departure feature is primarily lane drifting hen you don’t signal not going off the road. The green light chime is annoying as it goes off instantly instead of perhaps 1/2 to 3/4 sec after detecting the green. It should be programmable. But the general consensus is:
1. Plugging in all the time is a good thing
Maybe I’m just a short fella but getting over the bottom side bolster I always have to scoot across it and crease it
Yea I kind of climb out to avoid creasing the seats but I did this on my M2 and Focus ST as well just because I care so much about the seats haha
I think it would be nice to have a AC charge limit and a DC charge limit. So you can leave the DC at 100%.
You don't always want to charge to 100% at DC, mostly because it takes more time.
Wish this applied to me but I drive a model x 2016 lmbo

Why does everyone like the turn signal cancel on lane change? It has the 3 signal flash on the tap, correct? Or is it different than the stalks on the last car. I heard this with the stalk cars. It makes me think no one understands how turn signal controls work on most cars.
Because it’s convenient, you don’t need to worry about how much pressure you’re applying to the stalk. Also, these new Teslas don’t have stalks
