Great intro! Awesome side-by-side, thanks. Fact is, with all these similarities it comes down to look and vibe, which the Porsche will win hands down every time. Cheers.
@@Andy-qb6nu thank you for the feedback! Yeah even as a Tesla owner I cannot deny the Porsche has the look hands down. I hope to check out the gen 2 taycans one day.
@@officialmichaeltan Tesla still a sexy look...but I think maybe it's brand image a bit too.
comparing to Taycan that you havent driven . facepalm
The real problem is one has a brain and the other doesn’t
A better car? No way…it’s a compact compared to a full size… as a car the Taycan is in a different league
Are you saying the Taycan is better or worse here? Cause the specs of the model 3 seem to be better here, and for a cheaper price.
Taycans cannot keep up with my Plaid
Taycan is classified as a Compact
@@asadalvi7I’d trade my plaid for wife any day lol love that car
Model 3 has more space everywhere tho
Tesla originally had their name spelled out on the back, they didnt copy this from porche, rather from lotus.
Just picked up a Lucid and the next car will be a Taycan. Tesla lost twice in my family 😂 I did check out a Model Y and just wasn’t impressed with its Ikea interior. Btw Tesla ditched the (superior)LiDAR solely due to not wanting to pay for licensing - basically cheaping out on safety. Think about that.
Nice congrats! Which lucid?
@@officialmichaeltan Air Touring! Btw, I didn't mention it in my prior comment but great vid!
Good video keep it up!!
Appreciate u!
great video ! ⚡️
Thank you!
The tech and software in the Tesla is way better. Its faster, more responsive and more polished.
I love the comparison between a small economy car like the TM 3, and a higher end performance sedan like the taycan. Obviously nobody would rather drive a TM 3 over basically any Porsche.
1. $50,000 more
2. 100 miles less range
3. Slower in performance and charging speeds
Tesla = ❤
If the Porsche had access to the Tesla charging network it would have been better but without that it is very difficult..
Both cars are amazing
You don't judge a car by 0-60. I have smoked Teslas on the way to Vegas on interstate 15 driving an older Porsche 996.
I am done with Tesla after my X died before 40k and M3 stopped in the middle of the freeway. I will never buy the brand due to so many failure. Going for a rivian or porsche this time.
07:07 That curb rash hurt my soul
@@garrettmoy lol
gracias
There is only one right car here, Tesla Model 3. A performance car needs to be light, the Taycan is a heavy beast.
When you pick up your main squeez in a Taycan you know the rest of the night will be wonderful!
And if you pick her up in a model 3 she'll feel like getting in a cab.
boys, you need to be looking elsewhere for compensation 😅
@@jonfrench7133 not if you’re looking for shallow gold diggers for short term. Just gotta know exactly the type of women you’re attracting
@@Peachy-or-not 😅
Those rotors def looks carbon ceramic
Nice video!
Thank you! 🙏
U don't NEED ceramics like you don't NEED an EV that goes like stink. But it's AMAZING to have them so enjoy ceramic brakes unless you can't afford them.
nice thank you
If you're driving to the grocery store, Tesla all day. If you're actually driving, it's laughable to even mention the Tesla. I've never been more excited to drive a test car than the model 3 performance, and never been so disappointed with the actual experience. But if you're strictly concerned with a features checklist, or just a dead inside... Tesla all day
My 2019 Model 3 Performance has the metal plate on the trunk door opening, who else has one? Why the downgrade 😂
Hey, great video! Please, transform those specs into metric system as well, cause we here don't understand a shit)
@@hulias great feedback! I’ll try to find the right balance. I’m a chemical engineering major so I definitely like the metric system haha.
Regarding quality build and driving experience, the Tesla is not even close to Porsche!
how old is your tesla?
The battery in that taycan is a liability.
Would not touch that technology
Yes 60.000k for new tycan + battery
Just picked up a Lucid and the next car will be a Taycan. Tesla lost twice in my family 😂 I did check out a Model Y and just wasn’t impressed with its Ikea interior.
Specs and performance might be tilted towards Tesla but quality feel is no contest.
What a question. Porsche each day every day
@@jeffryflorale it’s a great car in many ways!
Il take the Tesla all days
*Taycan leaves you at the mercy of third party chargers* 🔌
I charge my taycan on my Porsche home charger
I would take the new Tesla
I would choose the Tesla for several reasons.charging network, repair cost and newer technology. If you need as Porsche to get lucky or keep her happy..tip...find a new squeez!!
😂
I haven’t done anything in the taycan but the tesla is better.
I choose the non-Elon one…..every time.
Elon is a genius
Porsche has to stay with 6 cylinders I for sure prefer my Tesla rather this Taycan
An instrument cluster is not a Heads Up Display.
@@aureliusmarcus9171 You’re right. I misspoke
No one at Tesla knows how to design a car.
it looks good
Tesla. All other EV’s are trash compared to them.
Haha the advantages of Tesla definitely outweighed other options for me
Regen means the car slows down when u let off the accelerator. Taycan do NOT have that. But it has Regen. Lame
You definitely do t want to own a taycan out of warranty. My best friend is a tech a Porsche. They are fantastic cars but very expensive to repair.
uh where is this road, er i mean "track", that you're doing all this testing? 🤣
