    Crazy how your fears were spot on and we have Monster Hunter : Now being released.
    I'm going through the anomaly grind right now and i can't tell you how frustrating it is to look at those lvl4 slots on my armor pieces knowing that i won't be seeing any of the meaningful lvl4 decos for another 100+ anomaly levels. And that i'll probably be burned out of the game by the time i unlock them ...

    Im AR170ish and it only takes 1, 2 and sometimes 3 anomaly investigations (depends on my mood) now before I dont feel like playing anymore. It saddens me because SB is my favourite MH, but the rate at which you earn AR points even if you do a quest with 2 or 3 negative modifiers is too slow. It is such a motivation killer

    a new update, instead of a specific monster to hunt, they change it to level-specific. any monster that fits the requested level is now okay, and they also added a "bonus" monster to hunt within that request.

    I will say I Made My Main Sunbreak Build at Least Sense Gold Rathain in TU1 and Mostly Finalize with Flaming Espinas For My Perfect Offense and Defense Duel Blade set that Not Element Focus with Master Rank Ibushi Duels Blades but TU5 With How the New OP Talisman is Enough for Me to Experiment a Bit Without Having to Completely Destory my Main set ( it just levels up that the Problem but I Will Warp Up with my Anomaly Levels and Try the Hardest Quests in the Game Sooner or Later)

    I really don't like Qurio augments for armour or the amount of bloat involved with anomaly. The entire thing is a mess especially since each monster or quests has its own levels to raise up. Way too much bloat. They also spaced out decorations that unlock far into it. Too much stick with the carrot spaced too far apart. TU5 btw is likely to add the max to 300 or even more.

    I think many would be more accepting of anomoly quests with one mere change: let us create our own anomoly quests. Want a 7 star 3 monster quest with Seething Bazel, Furious Rajang, and Apex Mitz? Get it. Want a 1 star great boggi with 5 deaths allowed? You got it. Let us choose how hard or easy it is. Grinding for suitable anomoly quests for efficiency is nearly as taxing as talisman grinding and talisman grinding is bad enough lol.

    • @graysonthebard9034
      @graysonthebard9034  Год назад

      That would be nice! I would also love for them to just give us the ability to level anomalies up to our current max, the same way they let us level them down.

  • @Cassapphic

    yeah exactly this, I personally wasn't super fond of the anomaly quests, I got far enough in title update 1 to unlock its afflicted monsters and stopped grinding soon after because I didn't enjoy it, then I suddenly see how far behind I was for the next tier, let alone as far ahead as I've gone. But if a mh these days DOESNT have an endgame loop like in every online game you'll get people complaining there's no content.

    • @graysonthebard9034
      @graysonthebard9034  Год назад +1

      Right!? There’s been such a weird shift in how people look at the “endgame” of Monster Hunter lately. Like Freedom Unite and 3u are some of the most loved games in the series and there’s absolutely no endgame loop for either of those games outside of the old “hunt til you get bored” standard.

    There's a handful of pros and cons with the anomoly investigations, but overall I enjoy them as a passive quest I do every now and then. Given enough grinding, anything can go to look bad if you force yourself through it past your own comfort level. Plus they made for a nice way to level both my mr and ar st the same time.
    I do think that the anomoly investigations is an improvement on the investigations from world. The don't go to overshadow the regular quests and keep inportant parts of your set from you like it was handle in world. Who knows, they might find ways to impove it even more in the 6th generation of monster hunter.
    The biggest pro I have with them is that you're not punished for choosing to do one over another by having other anomoly quests delevel like how the guiding lands were handled. It lets you take it at your own pace and level witgout having to worry about screwing yourself out of resources that you could otherwise being leveling.
    I do find that going up to 200 feels a bit much, but they might increase the amount of points gained from anomoly investigations like they've already done. I can see some of the higher levels of the upgrades being put up there, but I do think that the base level of upgrades should be fine with getting with lower or mid tier rewards. Maybe taking the new upgrades and reducing thier 1st and maybe 2nd upgrade to some lower or mid tiers of anomoly parts while keeping the higher tiers with the higher tier anomoly parts, if they have enough or are powerful enough to be worth the higher tiers of anomoly parts.
    The anomoly investigations still give a nice change to the quests variety for rise. While I don't personally look to make the most efficient quests out of them, I just want the anomoly monster by themself as the target with staying as close to a standard quest as possible. It's not making the most from the investigation system, but it's what I want to do out of them. Adding more monsters just make each individual monster weaker and makes it harder to destroy parts and cut off tails which is what I find to be the most fun while hunting the monster.
    I have some disagreements with some of the content creators like level 8 shelling being a must. I think level 7 shells are a good baseline damage and and are worthwhile to go for. I do think that they could've given more gunlances higher shelling levels cause there shouldn't be as many level 6 or lower shells with a maxed out gunlance. I also like mixing upgrades so having higher tiers might not be possible if it takes too much to slot them in. I still need to work on getting to the point where I can get more skills to fit more upgrades on my weapons, and the armor augments I don't even bother with since they take away what's special about the armors imo. Taking and replacing skills with other skills doesn't feel right to me and takes away the personality that the armor has and just makes it into a slot machine of skills that holds no value but the skills that can be put on them.

      You bring up a lot of good points, and yeah for the most part I do love the anomaly system. I just really wish decorations weren't tied to them. That's where I feel like a lot of the punishment from not grinding them comes from.

    The grind of the endgame would feel a lot better if, augments weren't random. Feels very bad clicking reroll in a menu thousands of times for 99% crap. We want monster hunter, not menu clicker hunter...
