I still love Jimmy and Josh but yeah they need to help out if they want it gone that bad haha. But I absolutely respect the fact that while Graham was making his mistake they didn’t tell him how to play his deck.

In fairness, an omniscience cast is pretty unexpected for a counterspell already spent on another threats. Hermit druid was on the board for TWO turns.
Kathleen figuring out how to utilize the Plane's static ability to get that extra Slimefoot loop is what players live for. Feel like an absolute genius when you see such a crazy line that results in victory.
The happiness on Kathleen's face after going into the think tank is probably one of my favorite things about playing Magic. The "I can do a thing and it's going to be awesome"
It would be great if it wasn't gifted to her by not killing druid. Honestly at this point I really don't believe that was just a mistake. I think they just wanted to show a cool explosive combo. Not saying it was fully scripted, but they intentionally let a druid live.
@@pucifer92 yeah. It clearly seemed that Graham killed Slimefoot and Squee on purpose. Furthermore Kathleen shouldn't have won that turn since Slimefoot and Squee had summoning sickness and couldn't attack, thus not giving her the much needed saproling to sac and bring back the commander.
I personally miss the set design. Don't get me wrong, this looks cool, but I preferred when it was an attainable thing that someone could feasibly recreate in their own game room.

I dont disagree with that but youd also think that two UBx decks would run any way to kill a 1/1. So yeah he had the ability to remove it but there were two heavy control colored decks at the table who shouldve had the ability to remove it
Disagree. It's not your opponents' responsibility to remove a thing that threatens you. Everyone evaluates threats differently. Graham's evaluation being incorrect doesn't change that.

The game didn't rule. Everybody I know fucking despised this episode due to Graham's bullshit actions. They literally played as a couple and you get morons in the comments blaming Josh and Jimmy for not removing the hermit druid, as if they had a choice.
Graham is probably my favourite magic player out there. Like sure, I learned Chaos from Jimmy and weird combos out of nowhere from josh, but the general energy of just doing your own thing and randomly things going really bad or really good without noticing is just inspiring.

Here's a fun idea for a game knights episode, a villans gallery episode where your commanders have to be a villan from magic the gatherings history, also, I only found this show recently and I love it, thanks for making such a great show.
I was just thinking about how amazing graham is. I got into friday nights when i was 9 and got hooked. Grahams personality and play style inspired me to play magic properly and its always awesome to see him play.
Y'all's customized commercials are the best. Not only are they funny, they are also extremely relevant to your viewing audience. Thank you guys SOOO Much for doing something different from the standard RUclips ads, such a breath of fresh air.
I put the modern horizon episode on whenever I need great background episodes to watch and now I have this classic to watch too. So glad Kathleen and Graham are back in the command zone causing chaos and hilarity.
Yeah honestly it really killed the experience for me. Like there’s no way he didn’t know how big a threat Hermit Druid was, yet chose not to kill it twice. Not to mention killing her commander twice which, again, exactly what she wanted.
It can be a good Commander, man, you just have to build a fast deck with lots of evasive creatures! You want a lot of unblockables, landwalks, fears, and HASTE! Throw some Spirit tribal to the mix, you can pump all Spirits up and do shenannigans! 💪
This might be my FAVORITE episode of Game Knights so far. Between the Goreclaw commander at the head of Graham’s bear force two (I use OG Goreclaw from Core Set 2019 as my commander irl, hence nostalgia) and the amazing sequencing for the win, this episode was so much fun to watch. Thanks for the awesome video ;)
I'd just like to say you run some really relevant and useful ads. I'm not in the US but I've used hello fresh and was happy with it, when they cooked the Quesedilla (sp?) without using a prep plate I knew they understood me. I try to recommend Keeps to people I think it might help. Also I love how you explain everything without wasting time. I'm fairly experienced but I totally relate. You strike a really good mixture of appealing to new players and experienced players/watchers. You guys are amazing, thanks so much.
i have noticed it's usually him that falls behind more often than not. Knowing it's a game of chance maybe that's all it is.. but i wonder if some deckbuilding changes could be helpful.
Rewatched the episode again after watching the Behind the Scenes VLOG from Graham. It's still amusing. Love seeing someone's engine doing what it's meant to do!
So I'm new this this channel and don't know how many games you do for each set, but I really hope we get another MoM match because that set is loaded with _a lot_ of great Commanders I'd love to see in this series.
They do one match of Game Knights for each set. They also release another series called Extra Turns that is less edited, but that one isn't themed around the new sets. So unfortunately, this is all we're getting until another set comes out.
Just started getting into magic and following you guys ! Me and a buddy of mine just helped me build my first commander deck! With march of the machines. I have pretty much a lot of knights 😂 and I got syr Konrad 😂
This was an Beararific episode!! Insane and SPCIY win by Kathleen!! Dudette made a fantastic deck and synergised so well with her Commander. Excellent use of the hermit druid as well. Love all the decks and the Planechasing. I wasn’t a fan of planechasing at first, but this episode changed my mind and now I want to plane chase all the time haha 😂😂 10/10 🔥🔥 can’t wait for the next Game Knights episode! I’d really like to see a third fan episode of game knights it could be title “the Return of the fans”
29:29 grahams face at the realization of what he’s allowed to happen slowly appearing on his face as he removes his glasses is probably my favorite part of this video. The absolute fear on his face is priceless! 😂
Ngl, what a punt on graham's side of things. Also kinda feels bad that he wasnt allowed to backstep killing Slimefoot after it was EXTREMELY clear he didnt know what the heck it did
Problem is, you can ask the table, talk and/or read the card, specially when you've played with the same people before and when you have so much experience playing too. Backtracking plays isn't common in Game Knights either.
The worst part is i was hoping we'd get an longer episode this time, but this one didnt even clear an hour. Guess ill just have to wait for the next one in like a month 😥
That's actually what I like about Game Knights. It's a story, really, and to see sub-optimal plays stand adds to the story. We've all done it plenty of times.
@@CraigStevenLikesStuff i mean fair enough, i just wished to could have seen more from the decks. We got maybe 3-4 cards in from the goro goro and satoru deck as well as the BF:2 deck before Kathleen killed everyone.
I think this is a successful pod because their play styles are very similar to a colour. Kathleen embodies black, Graham embodies green, Josh is a true blue player and Jimmy burns up too close to the sun in red. Love this pod
man, everything was coming up Kathleen in this game. Gets massive hits off hermit druid, planes chased to two planes that greatly benefited her strategy, and managed to keep konrad on the field long enough to kill everyone in a series of swoops. The spirit of Jund is strong with Kathleen.
I love how Bear Force just proves to be, against all sense and odds, a menace. Won last episode, and ended up being kingmaker in this one. A power Graham refused to use wisely, but hey, can't have it all.
I'm suprised they didn't change the background animation to correspond with the plane. Planechase seems like the perfect chance for editing fun like that.
Probably is way too much work The animation team has enoigh kn their plates as is and still do a great job IMO Though if time and resources were limitless yeah for sure that would have been even more immersif
This would require not just a little more work, but an *insane* amount of extra work. We spent about 3-4 hours that morning of just fine tuning the single background we were able to create for this episode to look right, not counting the tons of hours beforehand to create the base asset. Even the thought of adding in one single change makes my head hurt. - jimmy

Crewing artifacts is another great way to add combat elements to your EDH Deck. It's just an extra layer to the game plan. Pretty brilliant

They production quality and the chances were awesome. The Command Zone team does such an amazing job every episode.

Problem is, you can ask the table, talk and/or read the card, specially when you've played with the same people before and when you have so much experience playing too. Backtracking plays isn't common in Game Knights either.
Oh he knew, he killed Slimefoot and Squee twice!
The worst part is i was hoping we'd get an longer episode this time, but this one didnt even clear an hour. Guess ill just have to wait for the next one in like a month 😥
That's actually what I like about Game Knights. It's a story, really, and to see sub-optimal plays stand adds to the story. We've all done it plenty of times.
@@CraigStevenLikesStuff i mean fair enough, i just wished to could have seen more from the decks. We got maybe 3-4 cards in from the goro goro and satoru deck as well as the BF:2 deck before Kathleen killed everyone.

I think this is a successful pod because their play styles are very similar to a colour. Kathleen embodies black, Graham embodies green, Josh is a true blue player and Jimmy burns up too close to the sun in red. Love this pod
man, everything was coming up Kathleen in this game. Gets massive hits off hermit druid, planes chased to two planes that greatly benefited her strategy, and managed to keep konrad on the field long enough to kill everyone in a series of swoops. The spirit of Jund is strong with Kathleen.
Don't forget being gifted the Emerald Medallion, helping her ramp out some of those Green creatures.
She just needed my boy piper of the swarm and darigraaz🥹

Though if time and resources were limitless yeah for sure that would have been even more immersif
This would require not just a little more work, but an *insane* amount of extra work. We spent about 3-4 hours that morning of just fine tuning the single background we were able to create for this episode to look right, not counting the tons of hours beforehand to create the base asset. Even the thought of adding in one single change makes my head hurt. - jimmy

That was brutal. I've never that the honor to play magic. Watching this show is my best shot right now. Hopefully in the future I can get lucky and have a good game like this one. This game looks like so much fun
I'm bummed Jimmy didn't get to do anything with Goro Goro and Satoru, as I'm really excited to build it myself, but at the same time it's kind of a good thing for me because there won't be a 'Game Nights effect' making key cards for the deck spike in price lol
