Based on the sheer number of comments on this, I feel the need to clarify this interaction. *SPOILERS BELOW* Koma has an ability to sacrifice another Serpent to tap a target permanent, it’s activated abilities can’t be used this turn. If Jimmy has 5 treasures on board, there is no way for Koma to stop Magda from using her ability. The moment that Magda activates her ability and pays the cost of sacrificing 5 Treasures, it goes on the stack- Koma using its ability on it does not cancel Magda’s ability on the stack, just her ability to use it when Koma’s ability resolves. Jimmy can also activate Magda’s ability in response to Koma’s ability to the same effect. The only situation where Koma can lock down Magda is if Jimmy does not have the prerequisite 5 Treasures to sacrifice to Magda’s ability. In that scenario, Koma can use its ability anytime Jimmy takes a game action- if Jimmy taps a Dwarf to go from 4 to 5 treasures, Koma can then use its ability in response. It will resolve before the Treasure you get from the tapped dwarf- then Jimmy will have 5 treasures, but only after Koma’s ability has resolved. Magda and Koma can get into a treasure generating war- Koma can keep usings its ability to get in front of Magda’s treasure generation for as many Serpents are available. In that scenario, Jacob can most likely stop Jimmy. However, Jimmy has 10 treasures on board, so the only way Jacob can stop Magda from using her search ability is with a spell like Sublime Epiphany, as we saw earlier in the game. -jimmy

Jimmy plays a decent amount of red matters, or at least it feels like he’s known as the red player. And usually red burn style decks just don’t hold up in edh. This deck was nice because it was different. Even if the end was basically a burn ;)
that 3 mana 5/4 dragon that produces treasures every turn seems amazing

If only Wizards would reprint it😔
*Jacob's board state just crammed full of value

THAT ENDING WAS THE DEFINTION OF PLOT TWIST!!!!
MY NEW FAVORITE EPISODE
Up until the plot twist, I was ready to call it my least favorite episode. Idk if the ending redeemed the whole episode for me. Still pretty hard to watch up until the twist.
@@AcePlaysTCGs why?
@@whitesaintatarmaon5766 Felt like a lot of sitting still just watching the guy with the busted commander pop off constantly. There was very little interaction elsewhere and it wasn't as much of a toss up until the very end as other episodes have been. It looked way too one-sided for far too long and it wasn't really anyone's to win as much as it became Jacob's to lose. And that pulled me out of it.

KOMA KAI KOMA KAI KOMA KAI KOMA KAI KOMA KAI

KOMA KAI KOMA KAI KOMA KAI KOMA KAI!
OMG I LOVE THIS
Jimmy put a whole new definition on "pay to win"😂
I love how Rachel felt more behind in a mono green deck than a boros one
Jimmy's gonna get a lot of flake for the wheel but I see the logic, stopping your opponents from winning is pointless if you don't have the ability to win yourself. He needed the refill or else he was just gonna spin his wheels so he spun that wheel and once all was said and done he got the W. I'm proud of you, Jimbo!

Hahahahah Josh’s expression when he says “I really don’t want there to be two Komas on the field” lol there was pure fear and concern in those eyes
The Sublime Epiphany being double copied to end up giving Jacob a THIRD Koma was absolutely nuts. One of the best interactions I've seen on this channel
The editing and the effects in this video were absolutely insane!! A million compliments to all the people on the production team!!
Jimmy: We need an answer for Jacob's board!!
Also Jimmy: Let me wheel when I know Josh has an answer in his hand
Right? What in the blue hell. Feel like they cut out some trash-talking to justify that decision lol
I mean I would probably shrug and go "He'll draw another thing to deal with stuff." He had no way to see the Noxious Revival coming, and needed to advance his board.
@@TheDarthsteve316 Right? Jimmy knew Josh had an answer to two Koma's, and he still wheeled. Idk, not very smart if you ask me, considering how Jacob was already running the table.
This wheel came really surprising. However, Jacob would have just replayed Sakashima in his turn, since sublime epiphany just bounces. I think Jacob would have recovered pretty fast from this play.

I finally got around to watching Cobra Kai. It’s so good! I binged 3 seasons in 2 days.
Jacob’s deck definitely follows Cobra Kia’s creed of “no mercy”
39:14 - The *frustration in Josh's expressions* and voice, the *lack of eye contact and minor disdain in Rachel's voice* and the sheer *surprise for him having a response* in Jimmy's face summarizes what this archenemy of a game was all about, that Koma is a BRUTAL commander and is sure to make a lot of games get pretty 🧂
painful to watch, he may as well have it built the Stacks way
worst thing is... koma is nit just brutal but also 1 ofbthe lamest and most boring commanders out there
between Koma and all the free/EDH specific auto-includes, this episode was an example of how WOTC is making Commander a little worse with every new product
He just broke their spirits and took all the fun away

That Thought Vessel animation was amazing, congratz to the artist !
This show was awesome and showed why “power level” is important with a playgroup. You can sense the frustration in pretty much being forced to play arch enemy but it was also an incredibly exciting match. Kudos
I love when the ending is more than just mass battle damage and they win by some creative method, like in the theros episode
I was waiting for Jacob to just Cyclonic rift and sweep.
Of course Josh built Jorn, it’s the most JLK commander I’ve ever seen.
Unfortunately he can't pronounce the name of the card
Love how on brand Jacob was playing Koma 😂
And that "the answer to a bunch of defenders is more attack" was definitely Cobra Kai material!
Working my through the Game Knights playlist, and having listened to one of the new podcasts were the talked about about balancing deck and referencing this Koma.. I totally get it. It's cool to see things pop off but this must have been an incredibly frustrating game to be a player.
God that ending is so incredibly satisfying. After basically saying 'no,' the entire game, Jacob just gets absolutely B O N K E D by the mono-red deck.
Jacob- "I'm going to win the game!"
Jimmy- "No."
Honestly that stack shortly after the ad break was one of the best things on Game Knights in a while
