Great video bro and what a little beast that Granite is. Man that can take a beating. It seems so fluid at the skate park and looks as though it's built for it. The Big Rock really moves man and it too can take big hit, but the Granite seems the tougher of the 2. Both are amazing trucks. Cheers brother. 😎👊💪
Thanks so much Dave 🤗. Felt killer to finally get the Granite back out. Feels right at home at the skatepark. Both rigs are Mad fun 😍. Stoked about these new M2C brace options!!! Should go a long ways to protect the chassis. Really appreciate it Brother 🍻😎💪👊👊
Big Rock is such an amazing value. If you're thinking of getting into the hobby and want to bash, this is probably the best purchase you can make. Those steering knuckles are about the only thing that breaks from time to time and are super cheap to replace. If I were to say something negative it's the fact that arrma 3s line doesn't let you set droop. So if you're doing a lot of jumps, stock shock absorbers (which are actually really good IMO) are not strong enough and you eventually end up ripping rods out. Solution is to upgrade to better shocks with threaded rod ends which is very expensive, or do what I do and super glue rod end back together when it happens.
Thanks so much for the comment Alex 🤗. Agree 100% my friend. Definitely a great value. The truck is very durable straight out of the box. 4mm threaded body shocks are a huge upgrade if you like doing bigger jumps. 😎💪👊👊
What diff gears do you use on your 3s rigs when running them on 4s? Thanks for all your work to bring all of the content you do....very much appreciate it.
Thanks so much David 🤗. I stick with the stock 3s diff gears. Usually just add some marine grease to the gears. Nano Pro MT calcium based (same grease I use on the 6s rigs). I just swap on the 4s slipper with steel spur gear when running 4s. 😎💪👊👊
Hey buddy, that skatepark looks amazing, where’s it at? You have done a great job building out these two models, what are you running for axles? Thanks in advance
Thanks Brother 🤗. That's Tanzanite park in Natomas. I'm still running stock axels, but wouldn't mind something a bit stronger. They definitely snap on occasion 😱🍻😎💪👊👊
Definitely super stoked for this. I bought the updated version granite a few months ago and in the midst of building a bigrock so I can't wait to get these. I literally always get so blown away by your smooth lines at the park. Just the transfers alone are a joy to watch. Bern thinking of trying some 6s shocks on a 3s rig. I can't really bring myself to spend the money on a set of the proline ones they came out with fairly recently but jrc I will by 6s shocks from all day lol. Are the typhon 6s shocks still too short do you think?I just like feeling of them vs the 3s shocks. Thanks for another awesome fun bash video man 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Thanks so very much Nick 😜. The timing is perfect for these new braces!!! That's awesome to hear about your new Granite and BRCC build 😱. I'm still running Typhon shocks on my Senton 3s and love them. The length seems fine. Still have good arm droop. You might want slightly softer springs, but that comes down to preference. They fit great with the Axial shock bushings at the towers. The Proline shocks are ridiculously expensive in my opinion. Thank goodness for Jenny's RC 😍. Really appreciate the kind words Brother!!! 🍻😎💪👊👊
Amazing bash session Rich’, once again !! 🤩 Please tell me, what camera do you use ? Gopro ? Do you record in 4k ? 50fps ? I own a gopro 7 silver and quality is awful in comparison with yours !!
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. I'm still using my old GoPro Hero session 4. It's set at 1080p 60fps on wide. Doesn't have stabilization or touch screen, but the picture and audio gets the job done. 😎💪👊👊
Great Video! I am curious if the 4s battery works in the stock 3s Big Rock? I am also wondering when the trucks are in the air upside down sounds like you just hit the throttle forward for a second to get it to land right side up, is that how you do it? I have both of these trucks myself, love them! Since I'm kinda new to the hobby I run the 3s battery in both. So far mine are also all stock at the moment. Any feedback you can give me would be greatly appreciated?!! I have liked and subscribed to your channel. Thanks
Thanks so much Robert 🤗. The stock 3s ESC won't recognize 4s. It's only rated for 2 and 3s. You'd have to put at least a 120 amp ESC in, such as the Spectrum 4s one. Pulling flips takes practice. Takes heavy throttle to get the rotation going and braking to slow the rotation down mid air. Don't really want to land on hard throttle. That puts tons of strain on the drivetrain. The wheelspin should match the pace of the rig during touchdown. Hope that helps.
Some of those sends were insane, it's insane how much some of these trucks take with barely any breakage. Do you think granite can handle 4s? Or do you think it'd be able to handle 4s with upgraded electronics? Just curious really (though it'd prolly just be better to go with a big rock or kraton/outcast 4s at that point). Awesome run as usual 👊
Thanks so much Safwaan 🤗. It's crazy how much these rigs can handle overall. Just have to avoid nasty awkward hits 😱. I wouldn't bother trying 4s in the shorter Granite. It's already a wheelie monster. The Big Rock is a bit more manageable, but still a handful. The Kraton is a perennial favorite 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 sick! I really want one but I wanna see more videos of it from different RUclipsrs. (just to get several different opinions) I'm exited to see you rip it!
Hey rich🤙🏼i have a qurstion...i put a 25kg servo and 25t spline direct servo saver and for some reason it doesn't steer straight,i did endpoint adjustments centered the servo before putting the saver on but it still pulls either to the left or righ a bit? Any solutions on this by any chance? You vids amaze me all the time i call you the puppeteer of rcs brother!🤙🏼💪🏽👊🏼👍🏼😎🍻 don't know if i tightened the servo saver too tight but all part were new so I'm just baffled as to why my rig is acting as such. Thank you in advancefor any info on the matter🙏
Thanks Brother 🤗. Not sure which servo saver you got, but I'd double check the linkage can pivot and move freely. If there's binding, you could certainly get drifting either direction from center. The other bits to consider would be slop in the spline to the servo or any of the steering linkages. Could be the camber settings of your wheels or a tire issue. Even a failing hub bearing can cause steering grief. I'd start at the saver and work outwards. 😎
Hey Rich, one more granite/big rock question. What's your #1 pick out of these two for overall fun enjoyable driving experience and durability? The granite looks like it can do more, but not as stable as the big rock. Is that right?
Yes indeed. The Big Rock is definitely more stable in turns and a straight line with the longer wheelbase and wider stance. Really comes down to preference. Both are very capable and crazy fun.
@@richduperbash2966 I'm kind of leaning towards the granite because it seems a bit wild and looks like it jumps better, but if it becomes annoyingly unstable I guess I could throw on some Typhon arms for a wider stance? Thanks Rich!
Lunsford makes some, but they're kinda pricey. I read Hobby Park makes nice ones as well. Here's a link to an ARRMA Forum post about them. Thread 'Turn Buckle upgrades' www.arrmaforum.com/threads/turn-buckle-upgrades.35799/
@@richduperbash2966 thanks bro! I have seen the Lunsfords - they look pretty sweet. I noticed Tekno uses the same size pivot balls as Arrma so I was thinking of trying to cobble something there together. I’ll have to check out the hobby parks!
Looks like Mitch and Avery just released them 😱 m2cracing.net/shop/shop.php#!/M2C-3450-ARRMA-3S-SWB-CHASSIS-BRACE-VORTEK-GRANITE/p/496059337/category=136155254
@@richduperbash2966 Thank you so much for creating this video, I just ordered my chassis brace and motor mount from M2C racing. I wish I could share my build with you, it is a Granite 3s blx v3, with a 120 blx esc, with a Arrma spektrum 3668, 2400Kv motor. I have 57 tooth metal spur gear with an 18 tooth pinion. Suspension is all ProLine shocks with badlands mx2.8’s, with 14mm aluminum hex adapter from proline. It also has a proline brute body, with neon green lights inside the chassis. It also, has Typhon rpm suspension arms on it. And a 35gram all metal steering servo 25tooth, Integy turnbuckles, Integy steering knuckles, Integy rear hubs, Integy c-collars. I also put a rear wing mount and outcast rear wing on it. It is a beautiful build.
Thanks bro I appreciate it. I was going to put in 20 in the rear and 30 in the front to hope to get rid of slip . Maybe I’ll do 20 in front and 10 in rear. Thoughts? You’re an amazing driver bro and appreciate and enjoy your content
@@jasondemers8522just saw your question about diff weights. Lots of guys run 20-30 weight in the 3s rigs. Just comes down to preference. However, if you restrict side to side diff action too much, you're more likely to pop a plastic CVD at the hub where the pin connects with the plastic.
This brace fits the Big rock but it's not made for it right ? I'm looking on their website but all I see is swb brace and I'm pretty sure that the big rock is a Long wheel base. ??
I honestly think it's best to do both Matt 🤗. My Truggified Typhon XL is easily my favorite rig 😍. Mojave arms, shafts, and links with Kraton hexes and stub axels. 😎💪👊👊
Yes, I just run stock shafts. They generally break when the slipper is set too tight or if mashing the throttle on landings. Otherwise, stockers hold up quite well. 🤗
Would I be disappointed if I got the granite as my only basher if I have had a 6s kraton, 6s outcast, Maxx, and a Traxxas xrt. I just want a fun cheap durable truck
@@timmyd463229 you bet Brother 👊. By the way, I love my O4s V2. It's got the same stance as the 6s, just way lighter. Both are crazy fun, but the Granite is way smaller by comparison.

When is this available , I'll definitely get a few man
The V2 4s braces are available now 😱. Let me check with Mitch and Avery on these 3s ones 🤔
Big Rock was looking fast on 4s! Arrma should release it as RTR 🤩
Thanks Aaron 🤗. Yeah she's a wild animal on 4s 😂. Super fun Session. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Do you reinforce your bodies with glue and tape?
NICE !!🦁🦁🦁
I must know what shocks are used on the granite because when I do jumps they bend🤣, I’m trying to send it 🛫
Yo Rich!! Got an alternative for stock turnbuckles on the 3s models? Always bending mine!!!
When can we the public get a chassis brace from m2c racing for the 3s/4s Granite drivers?
@@emustang89able that's sounds absolutely Epic Chad 😱. Great build Brother!!!
What diff oil do you run in your big rock?
I run stock 10K front and rear and set my slipper about 1/4-1/2 inch out from fully snugged.
Thanks bro I appreciate it. I was going to put in 20 in the rear and 30 in the front to hope to get rid of slip . Maybe I’ll do 20 in front and 10 in rear. Thoughts? You’re an amazing driver bro and appreciate and enjoy your content
@@richduperbash2966 I’m just getting into the hobby so I’m learning Lol
@@jasondemers8522 that's awesome Jason 🍻
@@jasondemers8522just saw your question about diff weights. Lots of guys run 20-30 weight in the 3s rigs. Just comes down to preference. However, if you restrict side to side diff action too much, you're more likely to pop a plastic CVD at the hub where the pin connects with the plastic.
Notification squad 👊💥👍💯✌
I like your video
Thanks so much 🤗

When are you gonna get the XRT Traxxas????
I'll likely have one soon. Curious to see what it's capable of 🤔
@@richduperbash2966 I wish Traxxas would intergrade the arrma 8s center diff set up...butter smooth as you would say... don't t like cush drive
This brace fits the Big rock but it's not made for it right ? I'm looking on their website but all I see is swb brace and I'm pretty sure that the big rock is a Long wheel base. ??

Was thinking of putting Mojave arms on a typhon truggiphy or is it better to put kraton knuckles an CVDs
I honestly think it's best to do both Matt 🤗. My Truggified Typhon XL is easily my favorite rig 😍. Mojave arms, shafts, and links with Kraton hexes and stub axels. 😎💪👊👊
Are you running stock rear driveshafts? I have seen some vids where these have broken and wondering if I should invest in upgrades?
Yes, I just run stock shafts. They generally break when the slipper is set too tight or if mashing the throttle on landings. Otherwise, stockers hold up quite well. 🤗
@@richduperbash2966 thanks mate - great video👍
@@rambleon1727 you bet Brother 👊
Would I be disappointed if I got the granite as my only basher if I have had a 6s kraton, 6s outcast, Maxx, and a Traxxas xrt. I just want a fun cheap durable truck
I don't think so 🤔. The Granite is Mad fun in my opinion. It's squirrelly being a light 1/10, but that's part of the fun for me anyways 😍
@@richduperbash2966 thanks man. It's either one of these or the outcast 4s V2. I appreciate the reply. And sick video as always
@@timmyd463229 you bet Brother 👊. By the way, I love my O4s V2. It's got the same stance as the 6s, just way lighter. Both are crazy fun, but the Granite is way smaller by comparison.
Hey was curious what diff fluid you use in your granite?
I run the stock diff fluid weights with my slipper set 1/4-1/2 turn out from tight. 🍻
@Rich Duperbash thanks again for your sends and your knowledge! Always much appreciated! Hope you and your family have a happy new year!
@@randys-rc thanks Brother 🤗. You too🍻
I came here hoping to find an answer on which of these two to get. I might as well just get both 🤣
Both are Mad fun and extremely durable overall 😍

It looks like the same I've ordered from 👀. Maybe they're not out of business 😱 www.t-boneracing.com/
It does look the same, but I was trying to figure out if it’s a scam or not. I couldn’t find any solid info on it.

Yes indeed Larry 😁. Love the skatepark! Just gotta respect the steel and concrete.
