Wonderfull video honestly. In my opinion ive never been on any of these trains but the 221s are nice but also the 805 is really good from what it seems like so yeah
I do like the Class 805 Evero. Shame that Avanti West Coast aren’t going to use these on other services including Shrewsbury which would be great to travel from London Euston to Shrewsbury. Instead of changing at Birmingham New Street or Wolverhampton. But these new trains are very nice. And the Class 807 Evero should enter service later this year to operate to Liverpool Lime Street and Blackpool North.
That PA has a dalek like feel , a previous video i have seen of these Evero units also had a wonky PA which made it sound so distant and echo laden. Avanti needs to sort that.
The Everos are much better than the Pendolinos, given that there aren't armrests on the window side on Pendolinos (seriously) and the pendolinos also just feel a lot more cramped. The acceleration is much better on the Everos, so once they can get up to 125mph they will make a real difference to journey times. I'll be sad to see the voyagers go, I think they were quite underrated, particularly after the Avanti refurbishment. But, then again, running diesel under the wire for most/all of a route shouldn't be allowed in 2024.
Why are the class 221 super voyagers being replaced there great trains and there not actually that old only 20 years the once on the Avanti network could have had a much longer lifespan
The Super Voyagers are going to CrossCountry, in order to provide a much needed capacity upgrade for their network, as they can supplement the existing Voyager fleet. Also the Everos are bi-mode unlike the totally diesel Voyagers which allows them to use cleaner electric power for the main core of Avanti’s route which is electrified, only needing diesel for the unelectrified parts such as North Wales. ~ Daniel
what a great video, i have only just discovered your content, but i am already loving it and binging it
I like both of the class 390 and 805 avanti west coast
Cam you please do an Avanti west Coast fleet review
The Class 805s are a step-up of the IETs, but really enjoyed the video
still rubbish trains

I still think they should be called Pretendolinos

Hopefully the old 221's will go to Grand Central and they will finnaly get a service boost
Yep and the rest to CrossCountry.
how do they enforce the pick up only
I think I'll wait for HS2 😅
someone should have made the point to GWR about window alignment! as their IET's are abysmal for window alignment.
Could you do a DLR series or a EMR one that would be really nice
I be looking forward to seeing the new DLR B24 stocks coming into service and the Class 810 Aurora.
very nice

The pendolinos are more cramped because the train tilts, and therefore the train body is smaller to fit within the allowed kinematic envelope.

I thought it was a new electrostar 😢
I don’t think that Avanti West Coast would use Class 3xx Electrostars.
These arent IETs.
eh-veh-ro
more rubbish trains try going 2nd class from kx to inverness on a lner train you need help at the end
