      @@nidzaperez7258I think it’s mostly just mounting the backing( just screw it to your door frame) then just lock the doorbell on there

      Which doorbell did you get I recently got blink and I’m not liking it very much so any advice on what door camera is good

      @@Rhonda303 I have the blink and it’s pretty good for the ring sound I use my echo pop and it makes a loud sound to let me know there’s someone at the door as mine is wireless

    We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ruclips.net/user/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.

    Ask yourself this question:
    Would you rather swap or charge lithium battery packs (ring) or have ZERO protection with wired doorbells if there's a blackout or a well thought robbery where they cut the power?
    Wireless all day for me.

      @Illusionz-de2mo exactly that hahaha, 1 battery and the normal chime, so not the pro or plus. The plus/pro version has 5ghz wifi but more expensive and the normal one chimes very quick so I'm happy.
      You could always upgrade to the pro chime :)

    Get one with both someone cuts your power or theres a power outage u still have battery powered and get a ups backup power for your router and other critical components for your security system. Get both cloud based and nvr and you will have every single base covered youll ever need. Upgrade from 1080p to 2k or even 4k and your living the dream.

    I went with ring pro but I wish I kept with thr ring 2 because if power goes out the battery will take over

    Wireless with battery that is linked with a normal mechanical doorbell chime. When someone presses my doorbell my mechanical chime will work instantly and then the doorbell notifications appears.

    I had a ring doorbell camera. You have to pay a monthly fee after the first 30 days. Dumped it. The camera is not good in dark. Its satisfactory daytime.

    Neither my ring is a POS. Doesn’t record anything worth while. It doesn’t start recording until the person is walking away from my front door. It’s the worst $200 I’ve ever spent. And mine is hard wired but the battery still dies, especially in the winter.

      You spent $200 on a ring doorbell?? You’re getting scammed where ever you live. In the Uk I bought my ring door bell 2nd gen for only £40 ($50 usd) on Amazon and it works great.

    Wireless is honestly, in my opinion, better.
    With wireless, yes, you have to buy batteries, but it's much better than losing video feed when needed most during a blackout.

    Wired or wireless.. do these camera bells comes with another piece/device that maybe should be installed indoors to make a sound when someone ring the bell?

    I took the ring doorbell 2, cuz it has a battery AND wires. So if thw Power goes out the cam still works

    Wired only handles sound, not power. At least this is true on some systems.

    You really don’t need two way talk for the outdoor cameras. You only need two way talk for the doorbell camera

      You probably know the answer by now, but yes, you can buy a power adapter from Ring. It plugs into a wall outlet, you have to route the wires out to the doorbell camera and connect it up.

      @@bluetiger5852 Yeah tell that to the teenagers that jammed my wifi camera while they robbed my next door neighbour.
      I have it all recorded. timestamps show the missing footage while being jammed. Sent to police.
      They also stole the car keyfob signal to break into new cars , they are pretty smart depending wherr you live.

      I used to think like you"these youngsters dont have the energy or the know how" to jam a wifi device and yet i have video evidence submitted to police that they did.
      They also hacked into a bran new mercedes using thr keyless entry system which has now been exposed. In London UK common thieves are that sophisticated now

      In the US i drive a 20 year old car.. has expensive equipment worth more than the car itself used for work.
      See my point?
      Blend in with the people and look poor..
      So when a thief is shopping around in the area my car would be the last car he looks at, sometimes i forget cash and my $1k laptop a couple of times just laying around.
      There are probably a million people around you its not possible for all of them to get robbed at the same time, some of them ain't never gonna get robbed in the right circumstances (not going down the alley in the middle of the night)

      You have to have a compatible device to play chimes indoors, such as an echo or the device sold separately.

      Buy a second battery and that problem is gone, just swap, takes 1 minute and youll be up and running.

      They are connected to wifi, the wifi is connected to internal devices such as tvs, phone, PC radios etc, meaning they can re order everything. When hacked that data is being sent overseas.

      @@Steve-hu8px thats a pretty dumb reason to dislike this comparsion. wired version is default meaning its just a doorbell with a camera. wireless is the "upgraded" version as you could mount it anywhere, BUT at the cost of needing to charge every now and then. if a normal doorbell doesn't work during power outage, why would a doorbell with a camera work? an more indeph review can bring up that point

      @@scoot5642 well, a normal doorbell doesnt come with a camera, does it? And can easily be replaced by a knock on the door, cant it? But the camera (the whole purpose of buying one of these) cannot be replaced by anything else. And it takes 3 seconds to mention, which, the last time I checked, can definitely fit into a short Thats why. I mean, if you're gonna title the video "Should you get a wired or wireless doorbell" then you should probably include the BIGGEST features - not working in a power outage being one of them. If you bought a security system, wouldnt one of the MAIN things you want to know be that it wont work in a power outage unless you have a back up power supply? Im sorry you're not smart enough to understand these concepts.

    Amazing people sacrifice their privacy for "safety". My mind is blown by people living in such horrible enough fear, to have the desire to put cameras on and around their home, and even IN their homes. Soooo terrified 🤯

      For me it is for my husband who has trouble walking. He always answers the door no matter what. I want him to see who is at the door and perhaps speak to them without hobbling to the door. He also has Dementia so he doesn't get most things. I have nothing to see inside my house that I worry about. I am sure they can spy through other things if they want. My life would put them to sleep.

      Well they can steal both but the whole point of it is the theft will be caught and saved so you will know who steals it. I also recommend the cheaper eBay no name brand models. I have had 4 of them and place them all around my house for the motion sensor capabilities. The batteries last about two months or longer depending if you play with yours like I did at first(using them when I hear any little noise). But if you use them for the night vision and motion sensor then they can last 3 months with just regular doorbell use.
